THIRD PERSON'S POV
.
.
.
"Coming through"
"Hey!"
"Watch it!"
The hallway erupted in curses, yelps, and grumblings. A common scene that had been occuring for the past few weeks.
Ivy and Albert gliding across hallways in a haste to run errands for professors and still get to class early. Arms packed with scrolls, notes and coffee in each hand.
"No skating in the hallway!"
"Sorry Mr Janitor!"
Albert yelled over his shoulder as they finally made it to their next class.
Sorcery
"Here you go Professor Max"
Albert mumbled and placed the coffee and scrolls on the teacher's table while Ivy distributed the text books among students.
"Nice work teacher's pet"
A boy whispered, winking at Ivy as he laughed with his friends.
Ivy glanced at them but said nothing and continued distributing before taking her seat.
"Settle down students. Settle down. Today we'll be studying spells and potions."
Professor Max spoke while writing on the white board. The rustling of books sounding around the class.
Boom
Everyone turned to the source of the explosions. The three boys who had mocked Ivy were now frozen. Faces covered in black smoke and hair disheveled. Ivy calmly kept the hand fan she had used to shield herself from the explosion, George emerged from under his desk where he had hidden from the explosion.
The class immediately erupted in laughter seeing the state of the boys. Embarrassed they glared at Ivy
"You!"
Ivy raised an eyebrow
"What?"
"You did this!"
"And I'd do the same to myself and group leader? I don't do such, I'd rather face you head-on"
"You_"
"That's enough. I will not tolerate such in my class next time. Focus on the class"
Albert glanced at Ivy before quietly opening his notebook.
The class continued while the boys wiped their faces irritatedly with face wipes.
Knock knock
The door opened softly and a girl poked her head in.
"Sorry. Sorcery class 13?"
She asked as she stepped in fully
"Yes." Professor Max nodded then frowned "Nora Da Vinci? You're late young lady"
"Oh sorry Mister it's just _"
"Professor"
Nora froze confused. She blinked and looked behind her thinking there was someone else.
"I'm sorry what?"
"It's Professor Max. Everyone this is Nora Da Vinci, transfer student from Country A School of Arts"
Someone snorted
"Take your seat"
Professor Max handed her a copy of the text books and continued lecturing. Nora nodded lightly, shoulders tense as she clutched the book and took a seat at the front row.
Albert raised his eyebrows and turned to Ivy who looked equally surprised though she hid it well.
.
.
Later during lunch break.
.
.
George and his team were on e again in their usual empty classroom, eating silently. No one tried to bring up conversations, well except Ivy and Albert.
Hurdled over a text book
"Where'd you get fifty? I'm telling you it's fifteen "
"Says the girl who got eighty in algebra. The correct answer is fifty."
Albert said proudly and closed the book. Ivy stared at him and he quietly opened it back
"Fine let me solve it again"
He mumbled and tore a different piece of paper, redoing the entire equation.
Zoe stared at them while eating her burger and scoffed
"Nerds"
Albert raised a middle finger at her and continued writing. Zoe frowned, ready to retort when the door opened up.
Nora stood outside staring at the sign then at her phone
"Room 5..."
She finally looked up
"Yay Ivy I found you!"
She rushed in the hugged Ivy tightly, almost throwing her off her seat. Albert quickly supported them before they could fall.
"Careful" he grumbled.
Nora waved him off and pulled Ivy to her feet, examining her
"How've you been? Oh I missed you soooooooooooo much. Can you believe we're finally in the same school?! Awesome right?"
Ivy smiled, a little bit awkward but not stopping her.
" We could train together, go on missions, go shopping, wear matching clothes, oh and those boys. You could link me up now"
Nora smiled dreamily.
Lily coughed lightly to get her attention. Only then did Nora notice the others
"Oh hi guys! So nice to see you again... Hi George"
She waved bashfully at George, tugging her hair behind her ear
"Hi Nora. Nice to see you again. How have you been?"
George smiled lightly and pulled a seat for her. Nora gripped Ivy's arm tight to restrain herself from squealing.
Ivy tried to pry her hand but Nora had already shoved her aside to sit by George happily.
Ivy stumbled but Nathan quickly steadied her. She nodded lightly, greatful.
The rest of lunch passed by with Nora's joyful chatter, mostly with the boys.
After a tiring day they returned to their apartment one by one.
" I still can't believe that chatterbox is related to... that "
Zoe mumbled, staring at Ivy who was sat on the floor licking cream off biscuits.
The others just shrugged. Each retiring to the rooms or other activities for the evening.
Albert had gone to change and was making his way back out
"Where are you going to?" Fiona asked concerned "It hasn't been a week you left the hospital"
"I won't take long"
He simply said and left
