Chapter 6 - Season 1 had ended 6

Season 1 had ended.

The roleplay videos were uploaded to YGGDRASIL's official boards and mirrors, spreading faster than anyone expected. Clips were dissected, analyzed frame by frame, theories stacked on top of theories. The world had begun to notice them.

Among all the names that surfaced, one stood out.

Henry Abyssar.

Among the players, he was discussed as nothing more than 'a unique player with strange race and levels'. Some claimed he was a developer favorite. Others believed he had discovered an exploit.

An eccentric existence created for dramatic effect.

They were all wrong.

Because the Henry shown in the roleplay, and the real Henry. Were as different as heaven and earth.

In the videos, Henry appeared calm and distant. He spoke little, showed no hatred toward others, and treated his own power as something he hated and restrained.

He looked like a tragic figure, someone burdened by strength rather than driven by it.

But that was not the real Henry.

Outside the cameras, Henry was something else entirely.

He was obsessed with power. Well if you know what will happen in advance, you would do it to. Don't lie to your self.

With Season 1 over, Henry no longer had responsibilities, there was nothing to occupy him. The others were busy maintaining storylines, continuing narratives that the world expected to see. leaving Henry free to do what the hell he want.

And he descended into madness

Henry began pushing his level in the most extreme way possible. He did not merely hunt monsters.

If another player happened to cross his path while he was traveling to a dungeon, that player would be killed immediately. Without warning, negotiation, or mercy.

The only exception was safe zones.

Not because Henry chose restraint, but because the system itself forbade killing there. I mean, come on now, you know how safe zone work right? Why am i even have to explain it?

Everywhere else, the rules were simple, 'If you're in Henry's way, you die. Unles you high on level, don't even try'.

Killing players granted far greater experience than ordinary monsters. And he exploited it. Every player he defeated was thoroughly looted.

Weapons, armor, consumables, rare materials—nothing was left behind. Unlike most players, Henry did not loot for profit or aesthetics. He looted with cold efficiency, treating fallen players as walking treasure chests.

Among these spoils, he obtained something that should have been statistically absurd,

Two World Items.

Were they really stupid enough to walk around carrying something like that?

Or were they planning to lie to their guild and pretend they never got the item?

"Eh. Not my problem."

No matter how extreme Henry's actions were, some rules could not be ignored.

Within the guild, there was an absolute law. Any World Item obtained by a member must be stored in the guild treasury and can only be used through collective approval, either by veto or formal discussion.

Henry followed this rule without protest.

The two World Items were immediately transferred to the guild vault, sealed and recorded.

The rest of the loot was handled efficiently.

High-tier weapons, armor, gold, potion. Henry did not need were either distributed to trusted guild members to strengthen their builds or stored in the guild's armory for future use. Nothing was wasted.

If an item did not increase Henry's personal power, it was used to strengthen the guild instead.

By farming both monsters and players, his level rose at an unnatural speed. His presence alone became a death sentence, and reports of his actions spread rapidly across YGGDRASIL.

And as his kill count rose…

So did his bounty.

Henry Abyssar became a roaming catastrophe.

Momonga and the others were leveling as well. But they did so normally. They cleared dungeons, planned efficiently, followed acceptable progression paths.

Henry did none of that. It's taking to much time and boring.

-----

Ulbert and Henry had begun joking about handing Henry over to bounty hunters just to collect the reward.

"Come on, Henry," Ulbert said with a grin, "if we can get gold just by turning you in, why not? It's basically free money."

"You're suggesting I throw myself into danger… just so you can get a few coins? I don't see why not."

Ulbert laughed. "Exactly! Think of it as mutual benefit. You get XP, I get gold, everyone's happy."

Momonga firm, exhausted tone "I've said it before, do not mess around with this! Handing over one of our members to players just for bounty, is out of the question! That's dangerous and stupid!"

Ulbert shrugged, pretending innocence. "Relax, Momonga. We're careful. Mostly." Ulbert nudged him and whisper "See, Henry? This is exactly why it's fun. They tell us not to do it."

Henry's eyes sparkled with excitement "Forbidden fruit tastes the sweetest, doesn't it? Fine… let's try it."

To their surprise and secret delight, they managed to pull it off several times. And, hilariously, the players who received Henry never killed him immediately.

The result? Henry ended up slaughtering them, and the experience points poured in like a river.

After each encounter, Henry looted his fallen victims. If they were individual players, their items went into his inventory. If they were a guild, he looted the guild's treasury as well.

All items were deposited into the guild vault.

However, Henry was permitted to take his items except world item to strengthen both himself and his NPC, as he was currently the only one who had created any.

He kept the existence of those NPCs a secret from everyone, saving them as a surprise. And some armor, weapons, or other items he had no use for he distributed to the other guild members.

"Look at all this loot," Henry said, spreading rare armor, potions, crystals, tokens, and enchanted gems. Tools that can boost NPCs' levels, skills, even their jobs before Ulbert. "I'm starting to think this bounty thing isn't so bad."

Henry chuckled darkly, "Most of the small guilds barely know what they're doing. You hand me over and they don't even try to kill me right away. I clean up their guild for them, they should thank me for doing for free."

"You're turning him into a murder machine," Momonga said, frowning. "It will attract attention! Every time you do this, the risk increases!! One day, someone will kill you, Henry!!!"

Henry chuckled darkly. "Let them try. The more they come, the more XP I earn."

Ulbert shrugged. "But look on the bright side, Momonga. Henry levels up insanely fast. Every 'stupid' player we hand him to, well, we exploit it. It's a, how should I put it... Creative leveling strategy."

Momonga sighed, rubbing his temples. "Effective, yes… but reckless. Your method draws attention. If guilds realize how dangerous Henry had become, they won't come unprepared."

Henry's lips curled into a faint smile. "Let them come prepared. That just means better items and more experience for me."

Momonga turned to Ulbert sharply. "You're treating enemy players like consumables."

Ulbert grinned without shame. "And Henry's the perfect weapon to process them." After a brief pause, Ulbert added more seriously, "And if there are too many of them, we pull out. I've got his back. I'm not letting him walk into a crocodile's den alone."

Henry glanced at him sideways. "You really like sending me to my doom, don't you?" Henry raised an eyebrow. "You're enjoying this a little too much. Are you counting how many times we can pull this off before someone actually kills me?"

Ulbert laughed. "Only a little. But watching you completely wreck them? That makes it worth it."

Momonga crossed his arms. "You're both missing the real issue. Power gained too quickly invites fear. Fear invites alliances. And alliances invite war, against the guild."

Henry's eyes darkened. "Then war it is."

Momonga shook his head slowly. "That confidence is exactly what worries me."

Ulbert smirked. "Relax, Momonga. As long as Henry is pointed in the right direction, we control the chaos. Besides, sooner or later our guild will face war anyway. Not many players like monster races, those crazy job skills tend to scare them off."

Henry stepped forward, an oppressive aura pressing down on the room. "Just make sure you keep pointing me toward the enemy. Give me a target. That's all I need."

For a moment, silence fell.

Momonga finally spoke.

"…Very well. But if this spirals out of control, we abandon this immediately."

Ulbert raised his hands in mock surrender. "Fair enough. Until then—free gold and XP walks straight toward us."

Henry smiled—thin, sharp, and dangerous. "I'll be ready."

Momonga studied Henry closely, his glowing eyes unreadable. "Remember this, Henry. Strength without restraint becomes a liability."

Henry tilted his head slightly. "Then restrain me, when the time comes."

Ulbert laughed softly. "See? He's cooperative, relax momonga"

Momonga could only sigh, watching the two troublemakers with growing concern.
