Chapter 1 - Prologue

(Third Person POV)

[Somewhere Between Skyrim and Morrowind]

A group of adventurers was traversing through a ravine, each of them carrying bags on their backs as they had their weapons drawn. The ravine was steep and dark, possibly full of dangers.

One of them, a tall nord woman, was holding a map in front of her, "This ravine leads to the unknown mist." She said, "According to the reports, that is."

Behind her, a Bosmer woman who was holding her bow was looking at her with her yellow eyes, "How long has this been a thing?" she asked, "This strange mist?"

A Nord Man, who was holding a sword in his hand, looked at her, "A few months, apparently." He said, "Word is that there were massive tremors when it appeared."

"What do you think it could be?" The Bosmer asked

"I don't know." The blonde nord woman with the map said, "Could be Dwemer ruins, an ancient weapon awakening."

"Don't spout nonsense." The Nord man said, "You believe those lunatics?"

"I mean, you tell me what else could create tremors powerful enough to reach throughout Skyrim." The Nord Woman said, "And it was not the Greybeards speaking either, they have not done that since they called for the Dragonborn."

As she said this, an Argonian Man with heavy armor spoke, "What is she doing?" He asked, having been walking in the back, "Is she not dealing with the Dragons anymore?"

"She's taken a vacation, from what I hear." The Nord man said, "She defeated Alduin after all, I suppose she deserves it."

"Hm....." the Bosmer woman said, "Well, hopefully the pay is worth it. Whatever it is, hopefully we don't die for nothing."

"All we have to do is cross the mist and record what we see, that is all. You all did bring your journals, right? And the pouches to take samples of whatever there is." The Blonde Nord said, "I swear by Talos, this better not take longer than a month like Blackreach..."

"Yea, well, let's hope so." The Nord Man said

As they kept walking, the air got a bit colder and a strange blue mist began to rise from the ground. This alarmed the Bosmer woman, who immediately stopped and crouched down, inspecting the ground as the mist rose.

"Wait." She said, causing the others to halt in their tracks, "The mist..."

"It doesn't seem to be from magic." The Argonian said as he began to look around, seeing that the mist began to spread around them, "Could it be a natural phenomenon?"

"Don't breathe it in." the Nord Man said as he covered his mouth, "Let's keep moving."

The Bosmer woman had already inhaled some of it before coughing it out, "It's not poisonous." She said, "The reports didn't mention it."

"I still don't like it." the man said

They continued to walk further along the ravine, the mist getting thicker and thicker by the minute. It got to the point where they were completely within the mist, the view ahead being blocked by how thick it was.

"Tch...." The Nord woman said as she activated a light spell, a floating orb appearing in front of her, "This is getting annoying."

"Tell me about it." The bosmer said as she raised her bow, nocking an arrow, "Something tells me there is danger nearby."

"Be on guard." The argonian said, raising his iron maces, "We don't know what's nearby....."

They still kept walking, seeing nothing but mist. It had been almost half an hour that they kept walking, completely paranoid of what could jump at them from the mist. There was nothing but silence, only the sounds of their footsteps on the dirt was heard.

The Nord Woman then saw a faint glow ahead of them, "Wait, I see something." She said with a frown, "Something is floating....."

As she walked and got closer, her light orb dissipating, she noticed a strange floating object. She narrowed her eyes, seeing that it looked like a white glowing wisp of some sort.

"What is that?" The Bosmer said as she raised her bow, "A creature?"

The Nord woman raised her hand, the wisp landing on her palm as it pulsed slightly in light. There was a strange warmth that she was feeling, one that coursed throughout her body.

"Don't touch that." the Nord man said, "We don't know what that is."

As they reached her, the mist began to slowly clear, revealing their position. They looked around, seeing that they were in what looked like the exit of the ravine, a convergence of the rocky terrain and a forest region.

The Nord woman looked up to see more of the strange wisp-like things floating in front of them, pulsating with light. She looked at the one in her hand, watching as it slowly floated up into the air and away

"What is this place?" The bosmer asked, "This isn't Morrowind, is it?"

"No." The Nord woman said, "This is-"

As she said this, a large projectile flew past them, striking the ground hard. A large cloud of dust and dirt flew due to the impact of the projectile, hitting the Argonian in the eye.

"Ah!" He exclaimed as he raised his maces, "What the...!!"

"An attack!" The Nord man said as he raised his sword, "Where?! Who?!" What?!"

The Bosmer looked to see that the projectile was a long arrow that was significantly larger than an ordinary one.

"An arrow???" She exclaimed, "Who fired that?!"

Suddenly, several shadows darted in the trees high above, directly in front of them. The Group immediately rushed to cover as more large arrows flew at them, hitting the ground hard.

"Archers!" the Nord Woman said as she drew her sword, "Get ready for a fight!!"

The Argonian was grazed by one of the arrows, his armor protecting him from the full brunt, "Ugh!" he said as he stumbled, "Damn!"

Suddenly, he saw a massive figure fall down from the tree in front of him, a bone-chilling war cry was heard. The figure landed on the ground, rolling in a swift manner and striking the argonian with a swift swing of its massive bow.

The Argonian hit the ground hard, nearly cracking his skull on a rock.

"Shit!" The Nord man straightened up to see their attackers, "What in Oblivion is that?!"

They were looking a tall and humanoid figure, with dark blue skin and cat-like figures. The figure straightened up and nocked an arrow, aiming at them as it let out a vicious hiss.

The Bosmer woman immediately fired an arrow at their attacker, only missing as it dodged to the side.

"Wait!" the Nord Woman said as multiple individuals dropped from the trees as well, letting out vicious war-cries, "Wait, don't fight!"

The Nord Man scowled, "What?!" He exclaimed, "They're attacking us!!"

In a matter of seconds, the group was surrounded by these tall humanoids, who had strange characteristics that they had never seen before. They were tall and slim, with cat-like eyes and ears. They were creatures they were not used to, almost as tall as the Giants in Skyrim.

They surrounded them, having drawn bone daggers as they crouched down, hissing at them viciously.

"What are these things?" the bosmer woman asked, "These monsters!!"

The one with the bow slouched down, hissing at them as it walked forwards. This one seemed to be feminine, as the Nord Woman noticed tribal clothing covering her chest, barely covering her breasts. She had long black hair, which was braided neatly, and her eyes were big and round, like a cat's.

The female creature glared at them, opening her mouth and saying what sounded like words that the Nord Woman did not understand.

"W-What?" The Nord Woman asked, "What are you-"

Suddenly, there was a flash of crimson light that filled the area. Everyone, including the attackers, looked up to see a massive figure crashing down next to them, releasing a powerful shockwave and an explosion of red energy.

The impact was so powerful that everyone was flung away, hitting the ground hard as well as the trees. The tall creatures were also flung away, hitting and rolling the ground as they shouted out in alarm.

The female immediately composed herself, looking up to see the massive cloud of red flames as the tree began to catch flames.

She stood up and let out a desperate yell, almost as if she was hurt by this, drawing her bow and nocking an arrow.

"What the fuck happened now?!" the Nord man said as he struggled to get on his knees, "What is going on?!?"

From the wall of flames, which began to slowly dissipate, a figure appeared. Suddenly, a tall man appeared, wearing what looked like noble attire or some sort. He had grey hair and blue eyes, which were quite sharp and cold.

He stood in the middle of a crater caused by the impact, rubbing his neck as she looked at the group in front of him.

"Hm..." He said, "I was expecting a new group of Dragons, or something else."

The Nord Woman stood up slowly, "What?"

The Man looked at the humanoid beings in front of him, "Na'vi, hm?" He said, "That's just great. This is what happened, huh? The Convergence of Eywa."

The Female Na'vi frowned, "E-Eywa....?" She said, a thick accent in her voice, as if she understood that word, "Eywa...."

The Man smirked slightly, "Well, well, well." He said, "We got ourselves an interesting situation. The Jarls of Skyrim won't know what is brewing up in the border! And as for the Dragonborn, well, she won't be here to deal with this, hahaha!"

"Time to have some fun!"
