"Husband, child, what's wrong with you!"
A terrified scream suddenly came from inside Natasha's clinic, interrupting Takagi's steps. Takagi had just turned his head to look when Natasha immediately grabbed his hand and rushed inside. Seele frowned and quickly followed, soon seeing a panicked woman.
"Doctor Natasha, this is great! Please save my husband and child!" The woman, Jennifer, ran over after seeing Natasha. She anxiously pointed at the people on the two sickbeds behind her.
"Jennifer, don't worry. I will cure them," Natasha first comforted her, then walked quickly to the beds. After an examination, Natasha's brows furrowed tightly.
"Jennifer, what did they go through?" Natasha asked seriously.
"I... I don't know. They suddenly became like this," Jennifer shook her head in panic.
Natasha: "Did they eat anything?"
Jennifer: "Eat anything? Oh, right! Special medicine! They took the Vache's Special Medicine from the Mutual Aid Society!"
Natasha: "I understand. Rest for a while; I will cure them. Hook, take Sister Jennifer to rest."
Hook: "Hook understands!"
Jennifer was led away by Hook. Natasha began to treat the husband and child. At this moment, she couldn't care about holding onto Takagi anymore. However, unfortunately, whether using drug treatment or the power of Abundance, the effects were minimal. Seeing the condition of the patients worsening, Takagi decided to step forward.
"What are you doing? Don't disturb Natasha right now!" Seele saw Takagi walking forward and quickly grabbed his arm.
"I have the ability to heal. I can help." Takagi patted Seele's hand, signaling her to let go.
"Stop joking! Stay here," Seele held on even tighter. In her eyes, Takagi was still a patient with mental issues. Letting him interfere would only hinder the treatment. She knew the situation was dire; if they weren't careful, the patients might lose their lives.
"I said, you don't have to be like this, Seele," Takagi sighed. He could see how bad the situation was. Specifically, when Jennifer mentioned the "Mutual Aid Society" and the "special medicine," Takagi knew exactly what was happening. He recalled the tragedy from the original story and didn't intend to let it happen here.
Takagi stepped forward. The sheer force of his movement made Seele release his hand.
"You!" Seele looked at him in surprise, but Takagi had already reached Natasha's side like an afterimage.
"Let me do it, Natasha," Takagi said. His hands, emitting an emerald green light, were placed on the husband and child. The two, who previously had painful expressions, instantly calmed down.
"No way... this guy can really treat diseases?" Seele's eyes widened.
"Takagi, you can cure them?!" Natasha looked at him in surprise, her face filled with joy and relief. She knew in her heart that her own chance of saving them had been less than one percent.
"My Abundance power is relatively strong. It can work on these specific problems. Next, they just need to rest," Takagi said, finishing the treatment. This was the benefit of Stellaron-level Abundance energy. Even patients Natasha struggled with, he could cure simply by touch.
Natasha examined the two and found their vital signs completely stable. This allowed her to finally relax.
"Thank you, Takagi. If you hadn't helped, I really don't know what I would have done," Natasha thanked him sincerely.
"You're welcome. It was just a small effort. Besides, you played a part too, Natasha," Takagi waved his hand.
"No, my methods didn't help at all. You are the one who cured them," Natasha shook her head. Takagi didn't explain further; he couldn't exactly say he could cure them because he had obtained Natasha's own character template.
"You actually know how to treat illnesses... and you can even cure patients Natasha found difficult," Seele walked closer, looking surprised.
Takagi: "Now, do you finally believe I can help, Miss Seele?"
Seele: "The facts are in front of me. I'm not blind. So, you're not Natasha's patient?"
Takagi: "Given what I've shown, do you think I could be a patient?"
Seele crossed her arms: "That's not necessarily true. I've heard a doctor can't always cure himself. Perhaps a normal person wouldn't say things like having countless resources around them."
Takagi: "That's quite hurtful, Seele. How about we make a bet on whether I can produce those resources?"
Seele: "Who says I'm afraid? Fine, I'll bet. What are the stakes?"
Takagi: "The loser grants the winner one request within their ability."
Seele: "Okay, it's settled." They locked eyes, a spark of competition between them.
"Seele, that's enough," Natasha shook her head. "Takagi, Seele didn't mean anything by it. Please don't take it to heart." Natasha was grateful to him for the supplies and the healing.
"It's nothing. I'm quite happy to get Seele to agree to a request," Takagi smiled.
"Hey, I haven't lost yet!" Seele grumbled.
"Seele, Takagi is healthy. As a doctor, he is even more capable than me. Don't suggest he has mental issues again," Natasha said seriously.
"I understand. Sorry, Takagi. I misunderstood you," Seele apologized solemnly. After a pause, she continued: "I was just confused because Natasha was holding your hand. Since my previous guess was wrong... you two don't happen to have something going on, do you?"
