The Sanctuary was quieter after the battle.
Broken stone covered the ground.
Burn marks stained the once-bright walls.
Ji Young stood in the training hall again.
His body ached.
His hands were bruised.
But he refused to stop.
Kael watched him closely.
"You survived a General," Kael said.
"But survival is not victory."
Ji Young tightened his grip on the Lightbound Blade.
"Then I'll become stronger."
Kael nodded.
"Good. Today… you begin true strength."
Ji Min sat nearby, her soft healing light restoring small injuries across Ji Young's arms.
Her powers had grown.
She could now heal faster,
and her light felt warmer.
Still, something inside her was changing.
Sometimes, when she closed her eyes,
she saw flashes—
Ancient towers.
Golden armies.
A shining king.
But the visions vanished quickly.

Kael placed several glowing stones around Ji Young.
"These stones react to power," he said.
"To reach Level 2,
you must strengthen both body and spirit."
Ji Young stood ready.
"Begin."
The stones released waves of force.
Ji Young blocked.
Dodged.
Countered.
Again.
Again.
Again.
Hours passed.
He fell many times.
But each time—
He stood back up.
Sweat poured down his face.
His breathing became heavy.
"I won't stop…" he whispered.
The Lightbound Blade began to shine brighter.
His movements became sharper.
His attacks stronger.
Suddenly—
The stones shattered.
A powerful light burst from Ji Young.
The hall trembled.
A voice echoed through the Sanctuary:
**"Level 2 achieved… Strength."**
Ji Young stared at his sword.
Its glow was noticeably brighter now.
Kael smiled slightly.
"You are growing."

Silence filled the chamber.

"The General of Silence," whispered Flames.
The new General spoke coldly.
"Then I will test him next."
From the throne,
the King of Darkness watched.
"Proceed."
