Chapter 45 -  Shadow Clones and Superhuman Strength

Tree climbing.

Water walking.

And Naruto's signature technique from canon—the Rasengan.

All of these forms of training were gradual steps toward improving chakra control.

This time, Yuya didn't aim too high.

He honestly started from the most basic exercise—tree climbing.

At this point, he already possessed chakra reserves comparable to an elite chūnin. In terms of raw chakra, he was stronger than early-canon Naruto and Sasuke.

Although his earlier attempt to directly master Superhuman Strength had failed, his chakra control itself wasn't weak.

On the contrary—

The fact that Yuya had been able to master the Three Basic Techniques shortly after obtaining chakra already proved that his talent in chakra control was quite high.

In less than half a day, Yuya completed the tree-climbing exercise, easily standing upside down on the tree trunk.

After jumping down, he didn't immediately move on to water walking.

Instead, he resumed taijutsu training.

Balancing work and rest was important.

Chakra control mattered, but taijutsu could not be neglected.

For Yuya, taijutsu was always the foundation.

Humm! Humm!

Low, vibrating hums echoed continuously as the rock wall trembled beneath Yuya's fists and kicks.

Thanks to the vibration force, even simple punches worked his entire body.

Another round later, soaked in sweat from head to toe, Yuya finally stopped and took a short break.

He took out the bento Kushina had made for him.

"Next should be water walking…"

"Wait—feels like I'm forgetting something."

While eating, Yuya pondered. Suddenly, a spark of realization flashed in his mind.

His hand brushed against the two scrolls in his pocket.

One was for Superhuman Strength.

The other was for the Shadow Clone Technique.

Right.

He really had almost forgotten.

Besides Superhuman Strength, he still needed to train Shadow Clones.

Shadow clones weren't just useful in combat—they were incredibly valuable for training.

Any experience gained by a shadow clone would be transmitted back to the original upon dispersal.

In canon, Naruto's overall talent was mediocre, yet he managed to catch up to geniuses step by step.

That wasn't just because he was the Nine-Tails' jinchūriki, nor solely because he was Asura's reincarnation.

The Shadow Clone Technique—an almost broken-level jutsu—played a massive role.

Once a shadow clone dispersed, all of its experiences were returned to the user.

It was practically a training cheat.

After finishing his meal, Yuya stood up and opened the scroll detailing Shadow Clone training.

Compared to Superhuman Strength, this technique was much simpler.

And after improving his chakra control through tree climbing, now was the perfect time to train it.

"Shadow Clone Technique!"

Puff!

White smoke burst out. A vague figure appeared—then instantly shattered and vanished.

Failure.

Yuya remained calm and formed the seals again.

"Again."

"Shadow Clone Technique!"

Puff!

Another burst of smoke.

He failed repeatedly, but gradually began to grasp the key principles behind the technique.

Although the Shadow Clone Technique was a B-rank ninjutsu, its learning difficulty wasn't especially high.

In canon, even Naruto—who was notoriously bad at the Clone Technique—managed to learn it in a single night.

There was no way Yuya's talent was worse than Naruto's.

Finally—

"Shadow Clone Technique!"

Puff!

A figure identical to Yuya appeared beside him.

"Done."

A faint smile finally appeared on Yuya's calm face.

He'd always been curious—

Could a shadow clone use vibration force?

The answer came immediately.

The shadow clone clenched its fist and prepared to punch.

But before any vibration force could be triggered—

—it exploded into smoke and disappeared.

"As expected… no."

Yuya wasn't particularly disappointed. He'd already anticipated this outcome.

Although he explained his power outwardly as a Vibration Release Kekkei Genkai, it was fundamentally different from a true kekkei genkai.

More importantly, shadow clones simply couldn't withstand vibration force.

Yuya's real body could endure the recoil—

—but a clone could not.

"It's fine. Shadow clones were meant to assist training anyway."

Reassuring himself, Yuya created two more shadow clones.

He wasn't a monster like Naruto—two clones were clearly his limit at this stage.

He sent both clones to practice water walking, while his main body resumed taijutsu training.

With shadow clones assisting, the training efficiency was naturally doubled.

Before long, the water-walking clones dispersed, sending all their experience back to Yuya.

He created new clones.

Again and again.

Once water walking was fully mastered, Yuya finally stopped his taijutsu training and formally returned to Superhuman Strength.

This time, the difference was obvious.

With improved chakra control, channeling chakra into his arms felt far smoother.

Still, Yuya realized—

Perfect control alone wasn't enough.

Detail-level precision was even more important.

If he possessed the Byakugan of the Hyūga clan, handling these chakra details would have been far easier.

But he didn't.

So he could only rely on repeated experimentation.

Shadow clones couldn't use Vibration Release—

—but they could train Superhuman Strength.

Yuya split into two shadow clones again.

Together with the original, all three began training Superhuman Strength.

This consumed chakra rapidly.

Fortunately, Yuya's chakra recovery far surpassed that of ordinary shinobi.

While it couldn't compare to Naruto's absurd constitution, opening two Gates of the True Eight Gates still gave him excellent endurance.

That was one of the advantages of the True Eight Gates—

Many of its benefits lay in subtle details.

And those details often determined success or failure.

With sufficient recovery, Yuya could continuously use shadow clones for training while his real body maintained taijutsu practice.

His progress was nothing short of explosive.

One Month Later

Beneath the same rock wall—

Yuya stood quietly, eyes focused.

He let out a low shout.

Humm—!!!

Chakra surged around his fist.

At the same time, a layer of white vibration force wrapped around it.

Yuya threw a punch.

BOOM—!!!

In an instant, the rock wall in front of him suffered what felt like a thunderous impact, exploding from the center.

Dense cracks spread outward like a spiderweb.

Even more terrifying—

The wall didn't merely explode.

It collapsed.

An explosion scattered fragments outward.

A collapse meant continuous disintegration—until nothing remained but debris.

Crash—crackle—!

A massive section of the rock wall completely crumbled, breaking down into countless small stones that scattered across the ground.

Compared to a punch using only Superhuman Strength—

Or only vibration force—

The effect was on an entirely different level.

"As expected… Superhuman Strength and vibration force can stack perfectly."
