Chapter 4 - Chapter four

I was leaving for Rome. That was where Sister Theresa loved me to be ordinated and commence the life long ambition she made efforts that at least the beginning of my journey was smooth as a disciple of the Lord Jesus. I wondered how I would cope without the presence of Sister Theresa. She had become my backbone.

I was going by water transportation. I had preferred it. After I had boarded a ship to Rome. At the sea port on the day of departure, I stood with Sister Theresa

" I pray that the mighty Lord bless, guide and lead you to your destiny."

"Amen"

We made the sign of the cross. I got on the ship and I said something I had nearly forgotten to.

" I will miss you so much, Sister Theresa." I waved at her..

". Me too, Stella." she reciprocated.

The show sailed off. As we sailed farther away, I took a last glance at the city and person I was leaving behind. It was goodbye.

The journey was meant to take a whole day and some hours. It didn't.

We were already halfway as I sat quietness. There was no one to discuss with. Meditating and praying at some point. Then, I dozed off.

There was Sister Theresa. She kept calling my name persistently. Concern was her facial expression. That was what it interpreted to me. I attempted approaching her. I felt like touching her but there was a huge boundary between us. No matter how much I struggled,it seemed more difficult to get to her.

I moved uncomfortably in my lying position prompting me to wake. Within a short moment, I came to realize that the ship swayed was from side to side. I perceived something ominous.

I heard a thunder bolt. I grew alarmed. Perhaps,a storm? And that it was.

". Jesus…" I muttered clutching my rosary tightly tomy chest. The medium ferry ship was losing control. I opened the door of my room to get out. My movements were unsteady. I had to hold onto things in order to keep going. I was in disaster. People screamed in horror and pulled their loved ones closer. There was absolute panic everywhere. I felt like I was suddenly developing heart palpitations. I was scared. Extremely.

The ship fell half side into the ocean and we, the occupants motioned rhythmically with its adjustments.

The volume of water from the ashes ocean that had penetrated had gotten to the height of my knee. It was damping my clothes.

" Holy Mary." it was more of a whisper now.

At this point, the ship overturned. The ocean engulfed us. I felt like I was in a horror movie. A thunderstorm, drowning in the ocean… what a horrendous scene. I dropped into the enormous wave of water. There was probably no dry land around.
