Primordial Era
In the vast nine seas, a group of mermaids was scolding a little mermaid who was oddly black, unlike other mermaids.
Among mermaids, black fins were considered an ill omen.
While others possessed tails that shimmered like pearls, coral, or gemstones beneath the sunlight, hers were dark as the deepest trenches of the ocean, where no light had ever reached.
Wherever she swam, whispers followed. Wherever she went, eyes turned away.
She became an outcast before she even understood what being an outcast meant.
The little mermaid spent most of her days alone. The ocean was vast, yet loneliness made it feel small.
To escape the gazes of her own kind, she often wandered toward the edges of the sea, entering rivers and lakes connected to the human world.
There, she discovered something strange.
Humans planted seeds. At first, she did not understand why.
The seeds looked insignificant, tiny, and lifeless, hardly worthy of attention.
