Chapter 374 - A Proper Farewell | How Could a Creator God Weep

Kanon turned her gaze toward the moon. Toneri Ōtsutsuki dared not meet her eyes; a single glance from her caused the entire satellite to shudder violently, as if it would shatter into dust if she merely willed it. She was preparing to depart. Though she held total dominion over the Infinite Flower Realm, she intended to sweep away any lingering threats to the ninja world before she left, starting with the Ōtsutsuki on the moon.

She needed to see if Toneri posed a threat. To her, now walking the path of the invincible, the Tenseigan was nothing more than a fragile trinket, easily shattered with a flick of her finger.

Kanon looked from the moon back to the blue planet. A sphere appeared in her hand, an orb capable of observing all worldlines. As expected, every version of Kanon Uchiha across the multiverse was currently within their own Infinite Flower Realm, reclaiming everything they had lost.

Suddenly, Kanon froze. Her pupils trembled, though no tears fell. She saw Konin. In that specific worldline, Konin was laughing through her tears, surrounded by her parents, brother, and friends. Having sacrificed everything, Konin had finally gained everything.

Kanon offered a heartfelt blessing. The Infinite Flower Realm had enveloped all dimensions, all timelines, all time, space, and universes. The people of the ninja world would live long lives. Hashirama and Madara, for instance, had at least a millennium left. She hoped they would dedicate that time to education, for reforming the mindset of the next generation was the most vital revolution of all.

But there were still threads she needed to tie off.

"Everyone has embraced their lost loved ones... and mended those countless regrets. This is enough. As for peace, Madara-jiichan, I'm sure you can think of a new order." She whispered to the void, "Goodbye, Naruto. You'll definitely become Hokage."

Kanon moved. She drew her Kusanagi sword and slashed at the empty air. In an instant, a terrifying beam of light tore through the heavens, causing the very fabric of the Infinite Flower Realm to tremble. The blue planet became the epicenter of her creation. Before her, time and space buckled and began to drift.

She descended upon the moon. The moment her feet touched the lunar surface, life bloomed, flowers erupted around her delicate feet, transforming the desolate crater into a field of blossoms. Someone was waiting for her, having long since sensed her arrival.

"I have never seen a technique like this. Are you Kanon Uchiha?" Toneri asked softly.

"I am," Kanon replied. She still wore her red Uchiha trench coat, but her aura was that of a true Creator God. The most talented woman in history, her presence was both transcendent and unnerving. Even Toneri was struck by a sense of dread.

As Kanon took a step, a path of vibrant life followed her. Toneri frowned, but before he could react, a vast, sovereign power slammed into him. He collapsed to his knees, his energy flickering out like a dying candle. Kanon hadn't even looked at him; she had simply passed by, yet the sheer pressure nearly disintegrated him.

"What... what kind of power is this?"

Kanon answered coldly, "A power beyond your understanding."

She sensed the entirety of the moon in a heartbeat. "Tch. Just this? The Tenseigan is nothing special." She took to the air, preparing to leave. The moon began to shake, earthquakes ravaging its surface as if the mere act of her departure was cracking the celestial body. Even Toneri's palace collapsed. He didn't dare utter a sound; the terror of the moon potentially shattering kept him frozen in place.

Kanon looked back at the moon with indifference. "Insignificant. I'll leave this to you to resolve."

She raised her sword again. She stood at the pinnacle of existence, the strongest in all creation. But she had lost so much. She was no longer that six-year-old girl who longed for a flower field. She could never return to the ninja world; to them, Kanon Uchiha was already dead. Returning would only invite chaos. She had greater tasks: to scour the Ōtsutsuki, to purge the galaxy, and to slay the Ōtsutsuki God, Shibai.

She would leave the ninja world without the threat of the Ōtsutsuki. In a way, she knew she had failed, for ninjas had not disappeared, and she remained one herself. But Kanon no longer cared. The path to the invincible was open, and she would walk it alone.

Suddenly, she felt a tap on her shoulder. She whirled around, but saw no one. Yet, a voice echoed in her mind. The chakra of the Sound Four, Tayuya, Jirobo, Kidomaru, and Sakon/Ukon, manifested.

"It's you..." Kanon's body shook. If there was one thing she couldn't bear to leave behind, it was Team Hana. Her parents, master, and Izumi had returned, but Team Hana had refused to manifest, choosing instead to accompany Kanon.

Seeing the four of them, Kanon's Rinnegan constricted.

"Kanon-chan..." Tayuya smiled. The area around them shifted, recreating the old Sound Village before its destruction. Kanon stood in the center of the flowers, and she ran forward, pulling Tayuya into an embrace.

"Kanon-chan, you must have suffered so much on this road..." Tayuya patted her back.

"Seeing you... it was all worth it," Kanon whispered.

"Boss, you've become so strong! As expected of our boss!" Jirobo scratched his head, grinning.

"I've told you a thousand times, don't call her boss!" Sakon/Ukon scolded, smacking his head.

"Oops! Forgot!"

Kidomaru pulled a rose-etched badge from his pocket and handed it to her.

"This is..." Kanon recognized it, disbelief coloring her tone.

"The Team Hana badge! We finished it, but we died before we could give it to you," Kidomaru laughed.

"You fools, how can you laugh at a time like this..." Kanon touched his face with affection. In her heart, Team Hana was her deepest regret and her greatest source of guilt. "Why... why won't you go back?"

"If Kanon-chan isn't there, what's the point of going back?" Tayuya countered.

"But..."

"There are no 'buts.' The four of us will forever follow that beautiful, noble flower. That will never change. Even in death, we refuse to live in a world without you."

Kanon nodded, feeling a hollow ache in her chest. She could never go back to the past; she could never live in the Sound Village with them again.

"Then, Kanon-chan, we have to go. I believe we will meet again." Tayuya's form began to grow faint.

"Yes. We will. When all is finished, in that final sea of flowers."

"It's a promise, Boss!" Jirobo insisted, holding out his pinky. Kanon linked fingers with him, and then with all of them.

Tayuya watched her with a soft sigh. "Kanon, you are the strongest Creator God now, but don't suppress your feelings. If you want to cry, just cry."

Kanon shook her head. "I can't cry... I am the Creator God of the Infinite Flower Realm... how could I weep?"
