Chapter 1 - Prologue

What does it mean to be a Shinobi?

Will there be true peace in this vast, cruel Shinobi world?

Where light is present, shadows will also continue to be…

Several centuries in the past, a dragon being took the fire power from the sun's progenitor, bestowing upon humans on earth an ability known as aura within the shinobi world.

The repercussions for this theft were dire; the sun's progenitor unleashed a curse on the world, bringing about death, diseases, and malevolence.

To punish the mythical dragon, the father of the sun condemned it to be encased in stone, perpetually tormented by the legendary sun hawk due to its immortality.

Currently, the first Dragon War has occurred in the territory of the Land of Light, characterized by its cherry blossom sakura trees and immense mountains. This devastating conflict over power involved the Hinotori Clan and the Yaskue Clan.

Haru Yaskue, revered as the Grandmaster of Light and often seen as the heir apparent, is a man of brown complexion with a sizable afro, eyes that blaze a fiery brown, adorned in a white kimono, a tan cloak, and a yellow robe embellished with a sakura tree emblem.

He was warned by a shinobi from the Land of Shadows, a place known for its towering mountains, vast stretches of dark shadows, and lush green foliage.

This Shinobi brought a message of caution to Haru, informing him that Daku Hinotori, the leader of his clan, recognizable by his white skin, long straight black hair tied in a ponytail, and his attire of black samurai armor decorated with oni motifs, also Haru's former ally, has incited a battle by seizing control of the Light Dragon.

He foresaw that his son Inochi was the subject of a prophecy and meant to usher in light to the shinobi world. Prior to readying the Yaskue clan for combat, he embedded the essence of the Light Dragon into Inochi, while keeping its integrity intact.

Haru readies the Yaskue Clan for confrontation with the Hinotori, the conflict unfolding with severe and harrowing intensity, transforming the battlefield into a scene of utter ruin.

The violence was so extreme that the ground was soaked in a mix of blood, creating a macabre scene, while the innumerable corpses littered across the land served merely as improvised pathways for those who managed to survive.

Many lives were lost amidst the harsh battle.

Adults consisting of loving mothers and fathers and tragically, the lives of innocent children were also taken.

The fierce, heartbreaking conflict spanned over three days, leaving only a pair of survivors.

For the sake of those who had fallen, Haru hoped for a settlement to bring the conflict to an end. Nonetheless, his desires would remain unfulfilled as he witnessed the emergence of a sinister force within both the gaze and the soul of Daku, compelling Haru to make a final, decisive choice.

To kill Daku.

Committed to seeing the war through to its conclusion, Haru unleashed his most powerful technique. He harnessed both his Nature and Spiritual energies to execute the "Nature Class Four Seals Of Dharma" - a sealing method aimed at entrapping Daku. Daku was ultimately succumbed to Haru's decisive maneuver, being drawn into Haru's seal through spaghettification, and consequently bound within the shadows.

Weary to the point of almost giving in, Haru was prevented from falling only by his faithful sword, a weapon that had repeatedly been his salvation and truly represented his determination as a samurai.

Regrettably, the conflict had exacted a heavy price on his physique, leading him to collapse onto his back, soaked in his own blood and covered in wounds. He lay there, gazing silently into the glistening night sky, questioning his deeds under the light of the moon that bathed him.

This narrative revolves around the eternal struggle between Light and Darkness, with Darkness always lying in wait as long as the Light persists.
