Nina looked at Aviel, her thoughts reeling.
Would it be better for Linny to have a father, albeit like him?
Although Aviel had previously lured Linny into meeting him without permission, his intention had only been to acknowledge his son. And truthfully, he had secretly helped them more than once.
She gently stroked Linny's little head and considered carefully before saying, "Alright. I agree to let you stay."
For a moment, Aviel simply stared at her in disbelief.
She agreed.
She actually agreed.
Joy flooded his face. "Thank you… thank you, Nina. I swear I'll take good care of you both."
"Well… just take good care of Linny," Nina replied calmly. "You don't need to worry about me."
Aviel automatically ignored the second half of her sentence, eyes shining. "Mm. I will. I'll take care of everything."
In his mind, the little rascal could be raised casually—but Nina absolutely needed proper care.
She was far too thin.
He would have to find a way to fatten her up a little.
