Dora bit her lip and softened her tone. "Mino, come with me. I'm the most beautiful female in the tribe, and I have high fertility. Look—I'm already pregnant with my second litter. As long as you're willing to be my beast husband, I'll give you my next litter, and I can even promise to bear you several more."
She felt quite confident. She didn't believe that, with bait like this, Mino could remain unmoved.
But Mino showed not the slightest hesitation. "I don't need that. I will never be your beast husband. Give up on that idea."
"Why?" Dora glared resentfully toward the stone house where Nina was. "Because of that ugly female?"
"It has nothing to do with her. I don't like you, and I won't be your beast husband," Mino said bluntly.
"That's impossible. I'm superior in every way—why wouldn't you like me?" Dora refused to believe that he felt nothing for her.
