Chapter 10 - "Nine Tails and a Massive Bill."

After Sam claimed Kurama's red packet:

"Congratulations. You have obtained Tailed Beast Chakra (Nine-Tails Version) and the skill: Tailed Beast Bomb."

Inside the packet were two things: one skill and a Nine-Tails version of chakra energy.

"Kurama really went all out," Sam muttered as he looked at the rewards.

The Nine-Tails chakra was Kurama's full chakra, from his peak state.

Not just the yin or yang half that remained after the Fourth Hokage sealed him.

This also wasn't a chakra crystal. It didn't require any fusion card. It let the user directly wield tailed beast power.

As for the Tailed Beast Bomb, there was no need to explain. It was the tailed beasts' signature move, absurdly destructive.

This is Sam, not Sam the Rock (Guild Master):"Kurama, you sent me all your chakra in a red packet. What about you?"

I Am Not a Pet:"It's fine. The red packet feature says that the first time you send an item, it doesn't affect the sender. It's basically a copy. Only sending the same thing a second time transfers the original."

Hearing that, Sam immediately checked the red packet feature.

"...So that's how it works."

According to the description, the first time any item is sent via red packet, it's duplicated for free. Only the second time does the original get sent.

Come to think of it, how was he, the guild master, less familiar with the guild's features than a member?

Feeling completely at ease, Sam extracted the contents of the packet.

"???"

He stared at his body in confusion.

What the hell. I don't feel any different at all!

No, there was clearly a massive power inside him, but he couldn't move it.

"Guild Master, I recommend disabling the anti-magic field and testing it outside," Robin said helplessly.

How did I end up with a master like this?

"Oh, right!" Sam clapped his hands. "I forgot the anti-magic field was still on!"

Robin: "..."

What an idiot.

I really don't want to admit this guy is my master.

After turning off the anti-magic field, Sam began to draw on the chakra inside him.

A terrifying surge of chakra erupted from his body, forming a fox-like cloak around him.

One tail. Two tails. Three tails. All the way until nine tails spread out behind him.

The entire Super-Dimensional Mercenary Guild was flooded with the Nine-Tails' scorching chakra.

"This feels different from Naruto's transformation," Sam murmured, staring at his fox-cloaked hand. "Honestly, compared to Naruto's golden chakra mode, this red fox cloak just looks way cooler."

From what he remembered, once Naruto hit four tails, his skin would start burning because his healing couldn't keep up with the cloak's corrosion. He'd also lose consciousness.

What Sam was using now was more like the fox cloak Naruto formed during the Tenchi Bridge battle.

The difference was that Sam felt perfectly fine. More than fine, actually. He felt amazing.

Some JOJO somewhere: "Hm?"(Element detected.'😮)

After asking Robin, Sam learned this was a hidden benefit of the red packet system.

Anything received through a red packet would be perfectly converted into the recipient's own power.

In other words, Kurama's chakra retained its traits but became Sam's own strength.

Your own power doesn't hurt you.

And if Sam wanted, he could also condense the Nine-Tails chakra into a golden chakra cloak like Naruto's.

Two forms. His choice.

...

...

"Guild Master, what happened to you?"

The moment Elsa entered the guild, she saw Sam sitting there like his soul had left his body, radiating pure despair.

"It's only been two days. How did you end up like this…?"

"Don't ask," Sam said tearfully. "I've shut down emotionally."

"..."

Elsa blinked. "Shut… down?"

"Mhm."

Sam nodded, remembering what happened yesterday.

After gaining the Nine-Tails' power, he'd been way too excited. It was his first superpower, after all.

But he'd forgotten that the anti-magic field was off.

While testing the Tailed Beast Bomb, he accidentally blew a massive hole in the guild.

To fix it, the Super-Dimensional Mercenary Guild had ruthlessly extorted him, charging a huge amount of dimensional coins for repairs.

Even now, thinking about it made him furious.

o(▼皿▼メ;)o

"..."

Elsa was speechless.

This guild master was… unexpectedly something else.

Should she call it unpredictable, or just stupid?

"Why aren't you with your sister today?" Sam asked as he sat up. "You were separated by a door for so many years. This reunion should've given you tons to talk about."

Seriously, aren't sister-con types supposed to be terrifying? Like they never want to leave their sister's side?

You hadn't seen each other for over ten years, and now you're already ditching her to come hang out here?

"....."
