Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 Is That… A Dragon??

"Ugh…"

Howl groggily propped himself up, shook his head to clear it, and then noticed Harry, who was wide-eyed beside him.

"What's wrong?" he asked.

"Uncle Howl… you… you…" Harry stammered, pointing at Howl, unable to form coherent words.

Howl touched his face, feeling the furry cheeks, and sighed.

"This is my Curse," he said helplessly.

"Curse?" Harry suddenly remembered Uncle Howl had mentioned something about the Moon Spirit Flower and his Curse earlier.

"That's right, exactly what you're thinking. This Curse turned my face into a cat's and made me very weak," Howl said, then stood up and checked the time, realizing it was only a little past seven in the morning.

Grrrrumble~

Harry's stomach suddenly rumbled, making him feel a bit embarrassed.

"Can you cook?" Howl turned his head and asked.

Harry quickly nodded: "A little."

Howl nodded and walked upstairs: "Just make something to eat, I'm going to wash up. Lucifer, help me draw some hot water."

Harry quickly nodded. After seeing Howl go upstairs, he went to the kitchen and started preparing breakfast.

"Give me the eggshells, please," Mr. Lucifer suddenly popped out from the stove and said abruptly.

"Okay, Mr. Lucifer."

The sound of water echoed from upstairs. Half an hour later, as Harry brought a quintessential English breakfast to the table, Howl's footsteps also sounded.

He wore a perfectly ironed pair of khaki trousers and an avocado-colored knit sweater. The fur on his cat face was still a bit damp.

"What do you want to do today?" Howl asked.

"Let's start by washing the curtains, sofa covers, and throw pillows," Harry thought for a moment and said, then looked at Howl: "Uncle Howl, do you have any plans?"

Howl shook his head, having no objections. As long as the boy had a general standard for cleanliness in mind, it was enough.

It was hard for ordinary people to imagine how much stuff was piled up in a messy Castle. Even though Harry worked from noon until evening yesterday, he had only barely made the living room look somewhat presentable.

Perhaps for a long, long time in the future, he would still be busy with cleaning here.

Just do it. I guarantee you won't make a sound once you start.

"Come over after breakfast." Howl finished his breakfast first, poured all the leftovers to Lucifer, then went into the basement. In a short while, he carried out a set of glass Alchemy equipment and placed it in the kitchen.

Seeing this, Harry quickly devoured his meal, finishing in no time, and then took his plates into the kitchen.

"Uncle Howl, what is this?"

"A siphon pot," Howl explained, then pulled out several jars from under the cupboard.

Howl had Harry put the dishes in the sink. He first picked up a white jar, opened it, and inside were small root segments. He explained: "These are Mandrake roots. Mandrake has many magical properties and is used in many Potions, including those for physical, mental, and even sexual aspects. It's considered a universal herb."

As he spoke, Howl filled a kettle with water, put the Mandrake into it, and then placed it on the stove.

"Put the Mandrake roots into cold water. One root is enough for one kettle of water."

Harry watched Howl's actions carefully, not daring to take his eyes off for a moment. Howl explained and discussed the theory as he worked.

The other jars contained sage stems and lemon balm.

After waiting a few minutes, the Mandrake water in the kettle began to boil. Harry glanced at it and was surprised that the dull gray roots produced purple water.

Then, under Harry's gaze, he poured the water into the siphon pot and began the extraction process. The purple Mandrake water boiled and siphoned upwards, mixing with the sage stems, gradually turning green.

After pouring out the siphoned green liquid, Howl added the lemon balm.

"Uncle Howl, what is this?"

"Energy Potion, a type of Potion."

Howl stirred it. By this point, the two cups of liquid had turned a vibrant green, reminding Harry of the tender green shoots of grass emerging in spring, a green with hints of pale white.

"This is Potion? It feels like making tea…"

"Nonsense, I processed all the ingredients beforehand, and this is just the most basic Potion; otherwise, what would it be like?" Howl shook his head and handed Harry a cup.

Harry took a small sip, and immediately a faint bitter taste exploded on his taste buds.

Uh…

He frowned instantly, but what followed was a refreshing scent, like grass after a gentle rain. At the same time, his brain felt as if a cool breeze had swept through it.

He felt as if he had woken up naturally from sleep, then stretched leisurely while facing the morning sun.

"Potion isn't as difficult as you think. To be precise, the entire magic system isn't that difficult," Howl took a sip of the Energy Potion and continued.

"It's simply based on reality, using magic power as a medium to change the world."

Under Harry's focused gaze, Howl leaned against the counter, extended his hand, and various power transformations surged and flowed in his palm: fiercely burning flames, constantly moving water masses, or green, wind-like energy.

"Whether it's water, fire, life, or Potion, Alchemy, formations, spells. At their core, they all follow this basic logic.

magic power is like a master key. And the laws of the world are like countless intertwined lines forming a complex maze.

As long as we find the correct path, we can use magic power to leverage changes in the laws, thereby making them usable by Wizards."

Harry listened intently, not daring to be distracted for a moment.

Howl clenched his palm, and all the transformations disappeared. He stood up and said lazily: "That's enough. From now on, I want a cup of Energy Potion every morning for breakfast, prepared by you."

Then, he paused for a moment and added: "You don't need to make breakfast, unless one day you learn a few more cuisines."

English breakfast?

Absolutely not.

Harry smiled, nodding repeatedly: "Okay, Uncle Howl."

Seeing Howl return to the basement, Harry turned his head to look at Lucifer on the stove:

"Mr. Lucifer, does Uncle Howl mean I can come here for breakfast every day?"

Lucifer was also stumped by Harry's question. His mouth opened and closed. He couldn't figure out why Harry's focus was on that…

Shouldn't he be happy about learning a Potion recipe? Although it was a very low-level Potion, it meant he could officially come into contact with magic.

This was already the work of a magic apprentice. In the old world, how many people wanted to pay Wizards to take their children as apprentices, but never had the chance?

This child was only concerned about whether he would be fed??

After a long while, Lucifer stiffly nodded, saying weakly: "Uh… yes, your breakfast is covered."

After speaking, he darted back into the fireplace, looking at Harry's back in the kitchen, and sighed softly.

People who haven't been loved are like this.

Even if you put a cake in front of such a person on their birthday, they won't feel it's theirs.

Life, ah~

After sighing, Lucifer sank into the hearth fire, stirring up a cloud of dust that slowly drifted into the sky through the chimney pipe.

On the other side, Harry had no idea what Lucifer was thinking. After washing the dishes, he took down all the curtains, pillowcases, and sofa covers and put them into the washing machine.

Then he walked out of the Castle and set up a long clothesline on the cliff edge.

After the items were clean, he carried the fabric out. The curtain fabric was very large. Fortunately, the flying broom also lent a hand, and together, one person and one broom managed to hang it on the rope.

The sun was bright today, and it wasn't like London with its endless rain. After hanging everything to dry, Harry looked up at the sky, feeling his spirits lift.

Suddenly, a dark shadow appeared in the corner of his eye. At first, he thought it was a bird, but as the shadow gradually grew larger, he realized something was wrong.

A long, thick neck, a huge body, and wings like a bat. What trailed behind it was not feathers, but a long tail…

"Is that… a dragon??"
