Chapter 93 - Chapter 93: Conquer Area B! Get out of the 【Prison】!

However, the only response Shawn received next were a few heavy thuds as bodies fell to the ground.

About five seconds later, a dozen figures slowly emerged from the corner of the opposite corridor.

"Rick, lock those cell doors!"

"Everyone, did you miss me?"

Shawn raised an eyebrow from afar, teasingly.

"Glenn missed you," Maggie rolled her eyes at Shawn, shifting all the blame to Glenn.

"Are you alright?"

Shane, wearing a tank top, rushed to the cell door, pressing tightly against the metal, and asked Shawn through the horde of Walkers.

"I'm not dying!"

Shawn reloaded and fired again.

"Perfect, let's clear out all the Walkers here! Today, we take Sector B!"

Having successfully reunited with everyone, Shawn felt an inexhaustible surge of energy.

After firing seven shotgun shells, Shawn, without looking back, reached behind him and smashed the head of a Walker that had quietly approached.

Seeing this, Rick and the others also put away their machetes and crowbars, picking up their rifles and sniper rifles to start picking off targets.

It seemed that the situation Shawn faced yesterday had taken a 360-degree turn today.

Today, it was the horde of Walkers that was trapped in the cells.

After taking down about 20 Walkers, Shawn's shotgun finally ran out of ammunition.

Looking at the remaining Walkers, which were less than half the original number, Shawn waited for a moment before opening the door and dragging his great hammer inside.

"Be careful not to hit me when you shoot!"

Shawn yelled at the top of his lungs, then began to hammer the Walkers in close combat.

The remaining Walkers were mostly ordinary ones.

As for the Charger he had seen earlier, Shawn hadn't even encountered it before Rick and the others had already cleared it out as an Experience Bro.

In the face of ample firepower, all beings are equal!

No matter how special a Charger was, its bone hardness was essentially within the normal human range; it couldn't possibly turn the world upside down, could it?

"Cease fire!"

Shawn continuously swung his great hammer, hearing Shane's coordinated voice in his ear.

Of the roughly 40 Walkers remaining, the 'Wolf Pack' helped Shawn finish off half, and Shawn personally hammered the other half to death with his great hammer.

At this point, all the Walkers in the entire Sector B Prison cells were cleared out!

"Level Up, Lv26 → Lv28"

"Skill Points Gained: 4"

"You can allocate points now"

"It's still faster when you clear them with a team."

Looking at the information displayed before him, Shawn happily walked over.

He didn't rush to exchange pleasantries with Rick; instead, he took a chain from Rick's hand, turned back to the cell door leading to Sector A, and securely locked it.

With this chain, at least the ordinary Walkers wandering in Sector A would have no chance of getting out.

After doing all this, Shawn hoisted his great hammer onto his shoulder and walked towards them with a grin.

"I didn't come back last night, did anyone cry for me?"

"Who would cry for you?"

From behind the crowd, a somewhat embarrassed, gentle voice came.

Carol was wearing a Prison guard's protective suit and holding a translucent polycarbonate (PC) riot shield, which was now covered in the Walkers' black blood.

"Hmm?"

"Carol, you came in too?"

Seeing Carol appear there, Shawn's eyes widened in disbelief.

Sophia was still alive, and the team had arrived at the Prison a full six months early; Shawn didn't think Carol would have the courage to attack the Prison with the main force.

But at this moment, Carol appeared before Shawn, even quickly walking up to him and giving him a hug.

"Sorry, I'm covered in Walker blood…"

Although Carol said this, she still gave Shawn a warm embrace.

"I'm so glad you're alright," Carol said sincerely, looking into Shawn's eyes.

She hadn't slept a wink last night from worry.

She looked much the same as she did when Sophia went missing, with her tightly furrowed brows full of concern.

"Yesterday we found the generator was on, so we came straight in this morning," Rick approached, followed by Shane, Daryl, Merle, and others.

They lightly bumped Shawn with their fists, and a hint of a smile finally appeared on their solemn faces.

The older men were clearly relieved… thankfully Shawn was alright, thankfully…

Shawn took a quick look; almost all of the combat strength from the Camp had come, both men and women.

Even Jim, who usually stayed in logistics, appeared at the back of the team, keeping watch for everyone.

Everyone was wearing a layer of black protective gear, tightly protecting various parts of their bodies.

It was precisely because of this that Rick and the others had advanced with only scares but no real danger.

"Let's go back to the Camp first; we need to discuss the future plans thoroughly."

"As for you, Shawn, you need to get enough rest," Rick looked at Shawn and suggested earnestly.

Shawn had stayed in the Walker-infested Prison for a day and a night, completely unharmed, which was already an extraordinary feat.

However, Rick didn't need Shawn to prove his strength to others; Rick only wished for Shawn's safety.

They would conquer the Prison sooner or later.

Not to mention, a significant portion of the Walkers had already been cleared.

Having dealt with one horde, the subsequent work would be much easier, and there was no need to rush into it.

Shane also walked up at the opportune moment, patted Shawn's shoulder, and looked at him with greasy eyes, giving him goosebumps.

"Alright, alright, can't I just go out and rest?"

At this moment, Shawn, standing between Rick and Shane, felt even worse than being tortured.

Then, everyone walked along the Sector C corridor towards the back gate of the Prison.

Having successfully brought Shawn back, they were like victors, walking with their heads held high and chests puffed out.

Everyone chatted and laughed along the way, and soon they walked out of the Prison.

As soon as Shawn stepped out of the Prison, his vision blurred, and then a small figure was in his arms.

"Maybe you could be a little gentler, Carl."

Shawn's injuries were mostly healed, but the intense muscle exertion over the past two days left him still a bit sore.

Being hugged tightly by Carl, the 'refreshing' feeling… tsk tsk.

"Mum said you didn't come back all night," Carl whispered into Shawn's ear.

Shawn was startled by the words, then quickly understood.

"The Prison was more complex than I imagined. I got lost last night, and today Rick and the others went in together to get me out," Shawn scratched his head, feigning distress, and explained with a tone of 'coaxing children' (coaxing a child).

"Hey, Shawn is so clumsy, I never get lost," Carl said with a hint of pride in his voice.

"Oh, you little rascal, daring to mock me, huh?"

Shawn formed his hands into fists and placed them on either side of Carl's head, twisting them with the slightest force.

"Oh!!"

Carl exclaimed, immediately wriggling free from Shawn's embrace, and scampered back into the Administrative Building.

Shawn watched Carl's retreating figure, met Rick's gaze, and the two shook their heads, smiling at each other.
