Chapter 81 - Chapter 81: Judge Shawn, the judge is in court!

They watched Andrew's body fall with a 'thump'.

They suddenly turned their heads, looking at Shawn with terrified eyes.

The short police pistol in his hand was emitting a faint wisp of white smoke.

Having killed someone, Shawn's face showed no discomfort, as if it were as simple and ordinary as eating and drinking.

Ignoring the horrified gazes of the crowd, Shawn held the gun and returned to sit on the fixed round stool.

"You still dare to lie in front of me."

"Everything is clearly recorded in the archives, and you still want to deceive me?"

As Shawn sat down, he lowered his head and muttered, half-truthfully, half-falsely.

But in reality, Shawn was thinking:

'Anyway, he's not a good person. In the original plot, he later activated the alarm and caused the death of many people in the Camp. Getting rid of him can only be a good thing.'

When Shawn looked up again, two of the remaining four people's eyes flickered involuntarily.

Shawn's gaze swept over them, and each time his eyes rested on someone, they couldn't help but tremble slightly.

This was simply because Shawn's act of directly shooting someone in the head without listening to explanations was too impactful.

It made those who had some ulterior motives begin to feel a little anxious and afraid.

"Now, I'm giving you an opportunity to rephrase your words. You can speak again."

Shawn looked at them with a smile, but in their eyes, that smile was like a demon spewing massive amounts of blood, staring at them.

Silently.

"Because I stole a car."

This time, Oscar was the first to speak. His tone showed little fluctuation, and his gaze towards Shawn was quite firm.

The second to speak was Big guy.

"I… I got into a fight with someone."

Big guy was a bit timid, looking like a child who had done something wrong.

"Because I was selling drugs. I'm telling the truth, please believe me!"

Axel clasped his hands together in front of his chest; in the United States, this is a starting gesture for a certain faith.

"Phew—Manslaughter."

Thomas exhaled, forcing himself to calm down, and said while kneeling on the ground.

"You said you were a mechanic?!"

Shawn suddenly stood up and walked directly to Oscar, meeting his gaze.

"It's been like this ever since my parents kicked me out of the house."

Oscar met Shawn's gaze, his eyes calm and his tone firm.

Oscar's unyielding stance in front of Shawn made someone present quietly breathe a sigh of relief.

'Good thing Oscar is a stubborn idiot who doesn't know how to adapt.'

Shawn looked at Oscar like this, placed the gun barrel on his forehead, and squeezed his voice out from between his teeth.

"Say it again!"

The cold gun barrel touching Oscar's forehead made his body tremble slightly.

But after a few seconds of silence, he still looked at Shawn and spoke firmly.

"Theft!"

As soon as he said this, Shawn immediately took a deep breath and slowly closed his eyes.

Bang--!

A muffled gunshot rang out!

Oscar slowly opened his eyes, only to find that he didn't have an extra bullet hole in his body as he had imagined.

Instead, behind Shawn, Axel fell weakly, with a bullet hole in the back of his head.

Shawn didn't look at Oscar, but instead looked at Big guy and said with a smile.

"I heard he's your best friend. You won't be angry if I kill him, right?"

Big guy was almost shrinking into the ground. Hearing Shawn's words, he spoke tremblingly.

"He and I met in Prison… We're not best friends, just fellow inmates."

As soon as Big guy said this, Oscar couldn't help but frown and look at him, then at Axel, who was holding his head.

In Prison, Axel's usual intimate gestures didn't seem like what Big guy was saying.

Could it be that he deliberately acted that way for the other inmates because he needed a bodyguard?

Oscar thought it was possible because he had never been able to see through Axel.

Shawn nodded at the words, then returned to his seat and said something that finally made the remaining three prisoners breathe a sigh of relief.

"Alright, alright, what you said should all be true."

"From now on, we can begin the rescue operation."

"You're taking us out?" Thomas looked at him and suddenly spoke.

"Of course, I'm taking you all out. The Prison is no longer safe to stay in."

Shawn nodded, glanced at Shawn, and stood up.

Holding the shotgun, he led Shawn towards the door.

Oscar stood up first, followed by Big guy, with Thomas bringing up the rear.

When they reached the spot where Shawn had just been sitting, Thomas paused.

After a moment of hesitation, he bent down and picked up the abandoned short police pistol from the seat.

He tucked the gun behind his waist and quickly followed at the very back of the group.

Shawn watched Shawn lead everyone towards Zone C, and although he had doubts, he didn't speak directly.

If it hadn't been for Shawn's hint just now, he wouldn't have entrusted his back to these prisoners.

But as he led everyone out of the cafeteria and into the dark Prison corridor.

Shawn's hand gripped the shotgun tightly to his chest; his eyes, which had been looking straight ahead, now involuntarily glanced at the machete at his waist…

He was almost at his breaking point.

But at this moment, no one noticed Shawn's abnormality.

The three prisoners following behind them couldn't help but feel their eyelids twitch.

They looked at the bodies lying on the ground along the way, and the blood and brains that had almost stained the walls red, feeling an indescribable surprise.

"What exactly happened?"

Oscar looked at the Walker at his feet and couldn't help but murmur.

Thomas, at the back of the group, kicked the body with his foot.

After confirming that these were indeed dead bodies, his eyes flickered, and his thoughts became even more profound.

Fortunately, he didn't know what these bodies truly meant.

Otherwise, he probably wouldn't have approached them so easily.

Shawn led them all the way back along the path they came, to the guard room not far from the exit of Zone C.

Shawn spoke as he turned his head.

"Next, I need you to stay here temporarily."

"As long as you don't leave the guard room, you won't be in danger."

"Afterward, Officer Shawn and I will come back to take you out…"

But before Shawn could finish speaking, a commotion suddenly came from among the people behind him.

Thomas, who had been at the very back of the group, now sprinted forward, reaching Shawn in just a few steps.

He held the short pistol in his hand, his eyes fixed on Shawn's figure, his face showing a hint of ruthlessness.

But just as he passed Shawn, Shawn silently and suddenly stuck out a foot.

Thump--

But as soon as Thomas looked up, Shawn immediately followed up with a rifle butt smash.

A merciless smash sent Thomas sprawling back down, instantly seeing stars and feeling disoriented.

Under Oscar and Big guy's fearful and strange gazes, Shawn raised his hand to stop Shawn's next move.

He came in front of Thomas, looking down at him, his expression somewhat cold.

"I thought you could hold out a little longer."

"I didn't expect you couldn't even wait until we left the Prison."
