Sorry for the break, hope you guys like the chapter (Tomorrow I'm gonna release both an actual chapter, and an Auxiliary chapter where I explain Kuroda's Cursed technique)
I forced myself upright, and got into a fighting stance,
'No point using my cursed tool, it would just break against a curse of this level'
Flowing Red Scale was burning through me at full output.
Across from me, that cursed spirit was still charging at me.
'It's fast but still slightly slower then Futago was in our duel, and with Flowing Red scale I can somewhat react'
Those thoughts were proven incorrect as one of the rows on the Rubik's cube embedded in the center of his torso shifted slightly, rotating upward.

Suddenly instead of facing towards this cursed spirit, I was staring at the sky, slightly suspended from the ground.
'What the-'
Before I could even finish the thought, the cursed spirit which was rushing at me, somehow managed to position itself above me slamming its whole body into mine.
I was smashed into the ground. When I bounced up, he rotated his Rubik's torso and struck me, sending me flying away. As my body ragdolled across a few trees, a cloud of dust and dirt formed, blocking me from his view.
"Heh, so 'it' does work on humans just a little differently" the cursed spirit muttered while slowly dragging itself to where it launched me.
'Damn it, I think he broke my ribs there, not just that but my pelvis also is fractured. What did he even do there?' My thoughts slowed down.
'It was like my entire body was rotated, … wait when the rubik's cube on his torso rotated, that was when my body rotated, is that this spirit's cursed technique?'
'But that doesn't explain how he managed to get above me, that wasn't just normal speed he must have done something odd'
'Can I even escape. With the speed he just showed and his ability to rotate my body forcefully, I can't see any path of escape'
'Unless I can manage to injure him with an attack, and escape while he is distracted, but with his speed, there is only one possible move that I could try. I'm not even sure if I can do it, I haven't succeeded once till now'
"Why are you so quiet Kamo brat, you're nothing like the other one I fought, even though he was younger he still fought well" The curse addressed me degradingly
"Or maybe I just became too strong, I wonder but I know I'll get the answer when I kill 'him' "
Suddenly two rotating chakrams made of blood shot out of the dust where I was sent flying. The cursed spirit rotated his rubik's cube upward, and both of the chakrams were sent upward by 90 degrees.
'So it seems he can focus on multiple things at once with his cursed technique, but why didn't I get targeted there?' I questioned while focusing on the next step of my plan
'Unless that's a restriction, it probably needs to have visuals on me to rotate me. Anyway lets see if you can survive this attack'
While he was focusing on dodging the chakrams, I was compressing a significant amount of blood to a single point, all the blood I had shed from the cursed spirits previous attack was being poured into this.
'It's shoddy work at best, but this level of compression should still be enough for you' I thought while clapping my palms together.
"Piercing Blood"
Immediately a beam of blood shot out and broke off a small segment of the cursed spirits rubik's cube. 3 of the smaller dulled out squares broke off the cursed spirit.
However those broken squares quickly healed themselves within the next 10 seconds
"Heh that attack is fast, and has a lot of penetrative power. But I'm a cursed spirit, even if you pierce me, I can easily regenerate the damage unless you destroy a bigger portion of me" The cursed spirit addressed my attack before quickly getting into a tirade about the disgusting nature of the Kamo
"Look at you proud Kamo, relying on sneak attacks to do anything, the same way you all took my dear wife with a sneak attack all those years ago…" While he was rambling, he rotated his rubik's center downward, and my body slammed into the dirt beneath me.
'T-their really is no chance of beating this thing…' my thoughts quickly focused 'Thankfully that was never my plan' I quickly began compressing blood in my palm again, while planted to the ground.
Before the cursed spirit could continue his tirade, another two chakrams of blood that I sent out when I was covered from the dust approached him this time from the back and almost got him. However, just before they could, he turned around and twisted his torso cube up, and the two chakrams rotated upward by 90 degrees and shot into the sky.
While he was doing that I had prepared another piercing blood, this time regardless of the success of the attack, I was going to turn around and run.
"Piercing Blood"
Immediately after this attack got sent out, I immediately turned and ran, not even noting the cursed spirit reacted and rotated piercing blood mid-flight.
Kuroda POV:
'That stupid brat, did he actually think something like that would work? I wanted to play around with him and learn more about how my new abilities work against humans. And well, I definitely learned a bit.'
'It seems that unlike cursed spirits, where I can rotate their heads and twist them off, humans are different. I can only rotate them around their center. I wonder why I can rotate them around the center only… is it because, unlike cursed spirits which are made up of cursed energy, humans' cursed energy originates from the gut?'
'Which means that I am actually rotating them with respect to their source of cursed energy. I'm glad I didn't just kill the brat right away. I wouldn't have been able to test that part.'
'Well… the actual reason I didn't kill him right away was because I wanted to have fun. Watching him run in defeat was exhilarating. I'll give him a minute so he thinks he actually managed to escape, then I'll chase again, watching the hope disappear will be fun. I wonder how much he will struggle.'
My Rubik's cubes started to twitch and rotate manically.
'With my new attunement to cursed energy, I can sense the spark of cursed energy and detect an attack before it actually comes out. Using this, I wanted to see whether I could activate my technique while Piercing Blood was shooting out.'
'The results were fine. Still, my rotation ability is just a portion of the power I awakened. Once I kill that kid, I will finally see how far I have come.'
I thought this would be visible to humans, but no they can't see this.
A green grid appeared in my vision: the grid was built up of 2×2×2 meter cubes stretching across the terrain.
This is how the strongest ability I got after becoming a vengeful spirit functions.
Suddenly, I felt a massive cursed energy on the other side of the forest. It was immense and thick, attempting to conceal itself, but my new attunement to cursed energy allowed me to see through it. Most importantly, that feeling of cursed energy was extremely familiar.
'Looks like the brat I just fought has been spared. I'll be having a splendid reunion today. I wonder how that kid will scream.'
Those thoughts echoed in the Vengeful Spirit Kuroda's head while he aligned himself to one of the slots on his grid.
After aligning himself to that part of the grid, he rotated the front face of his rubik's body 5 times and disappeared. Before promptly appearing 10m forward, closing in on the kid who once brought him defeat.
