Chapter 43 - Chapter 43: The Stellaron Kitty

The Cat System performed with impressive consistency.

Just like when Elysia Cat was pulled, the wish animations from four games played at the same time, and once again, the Cat System dropped frames like it was its job.

The Zenless Zone Zero cartridge was empty. From the shooting stars of Genshin Impact came a 4-Star Catalyst: Wandering Evenstar.

From the Houkai 3rd HOMU Supply Crate dropped a 5-Star Weapon: Echo of Paradise, the exclusive weapon of the Pink Fairy Miss.

And finally, bathed in golden light, the Astral Express slammed into Pompom so hard it sent him flying. The train doors opened, and the illustration of a five-star character appeared.

A coat dominated by black with accents of yellow and white, a loose white inner layer, a short skirt paired with Chelsea boots. Long gray hair that looked free and careless, eyes cold and sharp. Behind her stood the Astral Express itself.

Galactic Baseballer

Rarity: 5-Star

Level: Lv1

Strength: 8

Speed: 8

Endurance: 8

Intelligence: 8

Charm: 10

Savior of Jarilo-VI, key ally of the Xianzhou Alliance, shareholder of Penacony, redeemer of Amphoreus… Akivili, once again setting out, a Nameless walking the Path of Trailblaze.

However, the one summoned here is not the Galactic Baseballer renowned across the cosmos, but a Stellaron baby less than three days old.

Kiyono Inori: (⊙_⊙)

Aside from the Stellaron baby, the Honkai: Star Rail banner also came with 4-Star Blessing: Throne of Gear Engagement and 4-Star Blessing: Escalating Catastrophe.

One ten-pull.

Two five-stars and three four-stars. That already qualified as god-tier luck among god-tier luck. Elysia's Fairy Magic was just blatantly unfair.

But… why?

Not getting Snake Girl was understandable. Mixed banners were like fishing needles from the sea. But why did her pity give her a Stellaron baby?

Kiyono Inori actually liked Stelle. Cool, scummy, and cute. Who would not like the galaxy's ultimate charm demon? But the problem was that the pink piglet was already dumb enough during her growth phase. This newly arrived Stellaron baby was probably even worse.

Less than three days old.

The pink piglet barely finished elementary school, already dragging down the average education level of modern society. And now this Stellaron baby had not even gone to kindergarten before being hauled around the streets by the Astral Express.

The average education level dropped again. Her plus the pink piglet plus the Stellaron baby averaged out to elementary school at best.

This wish has ended. A 5-Star character has been obtained. Summon the 5-Star character into reality?

Yes / No

Yes.

Kiyono Inori had wanted a Herta Cat or a Ruan Mei Cat to raise their average intelligence, support her rapid growth, and help deal with future crises.

But pulling Stelle was not something to complain about.

If anything, Stelle was the strongest card among the five-star cats in Honkai: Star Rail.

After all, she was the protagonist. Participation rate: 100 percent.

The Stellaron baby was not even three days old, yet Kiyono Inori was already planning cat biscuits from the Star Rail world.

Even the Herrscher of Ice's companion Honkai beast dropped cat biscuits. There should be no shortage of biscuit-dropping units in Star Rail. All she had to do was raise the Stellaron baby properly.

As Kiyono Inori planned out How to Raise a Stellaron Baby, the lousy Cat System progress bar finally hit 100 percent.

A chibi-styled gray cat, one size larger than Elysia Cat, appeared out of thin air before them, plopping into the soft bedding and rolling twice.

"Eh? Is this the new partner Inori-chan summoned? She's so big. Way bigger than me!"

Elysia Cat marveled as she leaned closer, inspecting the larger cat. "So cute. But why is she still asleep, meow? Inori-chan, did something go wrong with the cat transformation spell?"

"No idea."

Kiyono Inori shook her head. "Maybe she hasn't fallen asleep in her original world yet, so she hasn't woken up here. Come to think of it, Elysia, when I summoned you, were you asleep at the time?"

"Does that mean I'm more in sync with Inori-chan?" Elysia Cat giggled. "Hehe. When I'm not around, am I like this too? And then Inori-chan puts me in her school bag to go to class."

"That… might be a problem."

Kiyono Inori rubbed her forehead.

Everyone knew that the male and female protagonists of Honkai: Star Rail shared the same model. That meant the Stellaron baby was taller than most female characters. Turned into a cat, she was naturally bigger than Elysia Cat.

A gray-orange cat, purely in terms of size.

Her backpack was already stretched thin just fitting Elysia Cat. This extra-large Stellaron Cat was completely impossible.

Cat System wish summon complete. Closed beta version v1.5 thanks you for using. Reminder: please check the NEW character's skill book and increase the Cat System's computing power.

Cat System memory usage: 97 percent

Increase computing power.

The shop item Scepter φ-ln7 Computational Coordination Unit could raise the Cat System's power, but it required 1600 cat biscuits.

She grabbed an achievement and did a ten-pull. Kiyono Inori now had only 1200 cat biscuits left, short by 400. No way to upgrade right now, but it was not urgent anyway. She could not pull other cats at the moment.

So she checked the NEW character's skill book first.

Memoirs of Jin Lajitzde

After overthrowing the tyrannical rule of the Garbage Despot and enacting the Garbage Classification Act and Garbage Management Act, the Garbage King Tatarlov founded the Kingdom of Bins and became the greatest trash can in the world.

It is said that before ascending the throne, the greatest bin once encountered a dreamlike trash can sage named Jin Lajitzde, full name Pure Jin Lajitzde.

This book is a personal biography of the trash can sage Jin Lajitzde, compiled by Scholar Bucket of the Intelligent Bin Association based on over one hundred interview recordings with Jin Lajitzde himself.

If you put on that bin lid, you are no longer an ordinary bin. You will achieve the worst possible ending. The Sage of Bins, Jin Lajitzde.

No matter. I will bear it all, as long as there are no more garbage bags abandoned by humanity. I will blaze the trail for them. The Garbage King, Tatarlov.

Kiyono Inori: (╯⊙?⊙╰)

Wait. Hold on.

She took a deep breath. She was reaching her limit.

What is this? Are you sure this is the skill book that comes with a NEW character? What am I even supposed to learn from this?

Considering that It's Fairy Magic, You Know? was Elysia's signature skill book, then this Memoirs of Jin Lajitzde must be Stelle's signature.

Thinking carefully, Stelle flipped through dozens of trash cans in Belobog, right?

Kiyono Inori: (⊙_⊙)

So this was the story Stelle came up with from flipping trash cans? Less than three days old and already this imaginative.

She wanted to keep peeking into Stelle's rich inner world, but decided to stop while she was ahead.

Fairy Magic was tied to stories. Stelle's story was far too intense. If she accidentally distilled this into Fairy Magic, it would get very weird.

So, to avoid mis-triggering anything.

Original soup, original ingredients.

Kiyono Inori equipped Memoirs of Jin Lajitzde onto the sleeping Stellaron baby. Mostly because she was afraid of accidentally letting forbidden knowledge flood into her own head.
