[Fairy Magic – Mastery]
She possessed the skills [Descender: End] and [Pioneer of the Stars].
While listening to Mobius lecture on Advanced Honkai Energy Theory, Inori-chan compared what she did not understand with the principles of Fairy Magic, cross-checking the two. Thanks to that, she rapidly pushed Fairy Magic up to the [Mastery] tier.
If you had to use the piano as an analogy:
[Mastery] corresponded to a professional level.
[Proficiency] meant an elite within the field.
[Grandmaster] represented the theoretical upper limit of humanity.
According to the Cat System's grading.
Most musicians remembered by history fell somewhere between [Proficiency] and [Grandmaster], with only the very top geniuses possibly reaching [Grandmaster].
Which meant one thing.
Her Fairy Magic was basically learned.
However, based on the conclusions drawn from combining Advanced Honkai Energy Theory with Fairy Magic:
Fairy Magic was tightly bound to Elysia's authority as the Herrscher of Origin. For ordinary people, reaching [Mastery] was already the absolute limit.
Fairy Magic was divided into two modules.
The first module, Kiyono Inori named [Fairy Magic: Fairy Tales].
Its principle was simple in concept. A girl gathered the stories she had already lived through and kept them in her heart. Then, through the authority of Origin, those memories were unconsciously transformed into phenomena and reenacted in reality.
The pink effects Elysia displayed in battle might well have come from a spectacular fireworks display she once witnessed.
Healing, cleaning, strengthening…
All those strange little tricks the pink piggy cat used were actually results of Fairy Magic: Fairy Tales, reproducing her own past experiences as fairy magic.
This part was already incredibly abstract.
But with the boost from powerful skills, Inori-chan could still barely decipher and grasp this miraculous portion.
What was truly terrifying, though, was the second part of Fairy Magic, which she named [Fairy Magic: Origin].
As for its principles.
Relying solely on Advanced Honkai Energy Theory and Fairy Magic, Inori-chan could not fully decipher it at all. She could only barely infer how it worked.
Put as simply as possible:
The power of "I think it works."
The Honkai world clearly had no magic to begin with, yet Elysia thought up an entire system of Fairy Magic.
Even when she wielded power strong enough to easily crush the Herrscher of Ice and Ice-type Honkai beasts, she still limited herself because of a mistaken common sense like, "Ah, I'm just an ordinary human. To beat a Herrscher, I have to give it my all."
In Honkai Impact 3rd, she sacrificed herself, granting the Herrschers of the next era a new possibility called "humanity".
That was likely also the result of Fairy Magic: Origin at work. After all, how exactly do you give Herrschers humanity? How was the plan carried out? What was the actual mechanism?
Aside from Elysia herself saying things like "A beautiful girl can do anything" or "It's fairy magic, you know?"
No one could really explain it clearly.
In other words.
Inori-chan speculated that Elysia likely had her own internal logic, one that no one else could fully explain unless they too were a Herrscher of Origin.
As long as Elysia believed she could do something, she really could do it. And the price she paid depended entirely on how costly she believed it needed to be.
The key word was "believed".
As long as Elysia firmly believed she could do it, relying purely on her feelings at the time, she truly could.
However…
The theoretical upper limit of Fairy Magic: Origin was extremely high, but it was constrained by the pink piggy cat's understanding of everyday life. In some cases, it even produced side effects.
If Elysia thought, "Ah, I never really studied, I never even went to school," and concluded she was bad at learning, then her learning efficiency would actually be restricted by her magic.
The same applied to the Ice Herrscher and Ice Honkai beasts.
"Meow~!"
After combining all the information on Fairy Magic, Inori-chan enthusiastically launched a project titled "Leave Elysia a Backup Plan".
This was the first time she had done anything substantial with Fairy Magic after mastering it, so she was a bit too excited during the process.
Blessing of Destruction.
Her own cat body.
Achievement: Mysterious Killer.
Inori-chan used Fairy Magic for half an hour, locking all the power inside the cat body. She even installed a foolproof extraction mechanism and a Fairy Magic array that could turn herself into a small object.
The entire cat turned rainbow-colored.
And to avoid wasting anything, she also added a bunch of extremely convenient everyday functions to her cat body.
"?!"
The final moment had arrived!
To make it easier for Elysia to find the strange object her cat body would turn into after waking up, Inori-chan crawled next to Elysia's pillow and began the final process.
Fairy Magic, activate!
The magic array flickered faintly over Inori-chan's body, growing brighter and brighter until it lit up the dim room.
As the brightness increased.
Inori-chan felt warm all over. It was a strange sensation, neither comfortable nor uncomfortable, like sticking a warm heat pack to your body.
Her vision gradually blurred. Sounds faded away. Her keen sense of touch was about to disappear as well.
She was going to die.
Of course, only this magically constructed cat body was dying. Her soul would return to her original world, though she would need to wait until the Cat Transformation Magic Wand finished recharging before coming back.
"If the controlled cat body dies, the user's soul will not perish. Instead, the artifact will enter a 72-hour cooldown state."
That was what the included instruction manual said.
The cat's vision fell completely into darkness, and at the same time, the Cat System interface appeared.

What do you mean I showed an extremely high-purity Destruction tendency? Sure, I died pretty happily during the experiment, but that was because I knew I would not actually die!
Destruction plus Erudition.
Would that not mean I could draw things like Scepter, Rupert Empire Differential Engine, or Anti-Organic Equation? Was she about to get new toys again, yay?
