The fairy girl had a strange dream.
Saying it out loud was honestly kind of embarrassing. In reality, she had never actually gone to school. At most, when she was little in the orphanage, she once sat in on a few lessons where the director taught the children some basics.
But in the dream, she was a high school student.
And not just any high school, a top-tier one.
Elysia had always felt that the reason she never became a genius like Dr. Mobius or Dr. MEI was because she never properly went to school.
To be precise, she never studied at all.
Once you miss the age for studying, it is really hard to get back into it later. Adults all understand that feeling, right? The moment you open a book, you start getting sleepy.
Hah.
Who would have thought that after turning into a cat, I, Elysia, would turn into a high school girl too. I absolutely must consider whether this is the one and only chance in my life.
My chance to become Doctor Elysia.
Because the dream felt far too real, the pink pig kitty did not realize she was dreaming at all. Instead, she made up her mind.
She would make full use of this sixteen-year-old brain.
Study hard, meow.
But reality was cruel. Even though she ranked No. 2 in combat power in Fire Moth, she could not understand a single high school problem.
Math? Completely clueless.
Language arts? Completely clueless.
Foreign languages? This was something Elysia was actually good at, but only in conversation. When it came to test questions, she was hopeless.
Conclusion: failing every subject.
Elysia noticed that this version of herself seemed smarter. No matter what the teacher said in class, she did not get sleepy.
Probably because she was already dreaming.
Even so, she still could not understand any of it.
In the end, Elysia adopted a strategy of imitation. She copied the posture of the top students, held up her textbook, and coasted through with pure cuteness.
As long as she did not fall asleep in class and kept at it steadily, at the very least she could become a doctoral assistant. After taking a mental hit, Elysia had already given up on the title of doctor.
She held on until the very last class.
After class, the homeroom teacher suddenly asked, "Is anyone willing to deliver the notes and homework to Kiyono, who is on leave?"
Kiyono. That name sounded so familiar.
Elysia propped her cheek on her hand and thought about it.
Dreams were always bizarre. Sometimes you would not recognize someone at all while dreaming, only to realize after waking up that they were someone you knew in real life.
And naturally.
In an era where students only wanted to go home early to play games and scroll on their phones, no one wanted to make a special trip just to deliver notes and homework to another classmate.
Put yourself in their shoes.
If you were sick and a classmate kindly brought you homework and notes, stealing away your evening free time, you would probably want to curse their entire family tree.
But the naive and adorable pink pig kitty had never been to school, so she did not know this unspoken rule.
"Mm-hmm, I'll do it!"
Elysia volunteered.
From her perspective, delivering notes and homework to a sick classmate felt like passing along strength and hope. It was something incredibly romantic.
Thus, the hospital visit event began.
Following the address, Elysia puffed and panted her way to Kiyono's house and wiped the sweat from her forehead.
"Thank you… sorry for making you come all this way."
The moment the door opened, the pink pig kitty was captivated by the girl's appearance.
Light flaxen hair, slightly washed out in color, pale to the point of looking almost overexposed. Creamy white skin without the slightest blemish. A straight nose bridge, and sparkling eyes beneath long lashes.
Coupled with the fever from her cold, the girl's face was flushed red as she stood there in her pajamas, unbelievably cute.
"Wow, what a cute girl. Sweetie, if you're sick, is it really okay not to lie down and rest?"
The pink pig kitty said with a bright smile, tossing out those subtly tempting words. Most girls would get shy after being hit with something like that.
Flirting.
Elysia loved seeing girls get embarrassed. Even though she herself was also easily flustered.
"…My family isn't home."
The girl replied in a flat tone, giving off the impression of an inorganic doll. She pointed inside the house. "Um, would you like to come in?"
"What?"
The sudden invitation startled Elysia. She blinked her bright eyes in confusion.
"Come in."
The girl extended the invitation again, then turned and walked inside as if it were nothing. Elysia followed instinctively, bending down to take off her shoes, only to feel her head suddenly go dizzy.
What is happening here?
Her small head filled with oversized question marks.
The girl named Kiyono Inori seemed physically weak. Even her steps were unsteady, and she was dressed in very thick, conservative sleepwear, a pajama top and a long nightdress.
Yet because her figure was so nice, that fragile, sickly look only made her more alluring.
"My family isn't home."
Those words echoed again in Elysia's mind. Did that mean anything was allowed?
The thought flashed by for just a moment.
And was immediately rejected by Elysia without hesitation.
Elysia, Elysia, how could you fall so low? You came to deliver notes and homework. Being treated as a guest is already more than enough. How could you possibly end up on someone's bed?
She is sick, after all.
Good kids do not bully others. The righteous fairy Elysia defeated the evil fairy Elysia.
"Hehe, so why did you invite me in? Just so you know, my grades aren't very good. I can't really teach you much."
Elysia said, in her righteous mode.
"This is my room."
The girl answered something completely unrelated.
She gestured around. The room was fully furnished. A wardrobe, a computer, even a refrigerator. Everything was neatly organized, and the balcony was filled with all kinds of flowers.
"There's yogurt and drinks in the fridge. Sorry for inviting you so suddenly. If there's anything you don't understand, you can ask me. That'll be my way of thanking you."
As she spoke, Kiyono Inori opened a bottle of orange soda and gulped it down.
"You…"
Elysia hesitated, stopping herself mid-sentence. Her current goal was becoming a doctoral assistant, and knowledge was extremely tempting. Even so, she felt conflicted.
Because—
"Are you really okay? You don't look well. If it's tutoring, we could wait a couple of days—"
The pink pig kitty froze.
Because right in front of her, the girl climbed into bed, patted the mattress beside her, and said, "I'll explain it to you while lying down. It's fine. We can chat a bit too."
Elysia: ?
Elysia: Explain what? Don't treat me like some clueless idiot. Sure, my practical skills aren't great, but my theory is solid. This is seduction. One hundred percent she is trying to lure this little kitty.
Unbelievable.
Bullying me? You really picked the softest marshmallow to bully.
Everyone knows.
The pink pig kitty is all talk, but when it comes to actual combat, she turns into a soft, squishy strawberry shortcake.
Sitting on the edge of the girl's bed, Elysia, who had been casually tossing question marks into her sentences earlier, now did not even dare add one. She was stiff, nervous, and completely flustered.
Pink pig kitty: (⊙_⊙)
The girl explained things, or maybe she did not, because Elysia was not listening at all.
The sickly girl's blank expression, paired with how gentle and obedient she looked while explaining problems, was far too eye-catching.
The strange tutoring session came to an end.
The pink pig kitty's knowledge increased.
