So, I've been absent from the site because I got a new job plus my sister's wedding, so I've been quite busy these past few months. Nevertheless, I apologize for my absence and the lack of updates on the story's status.
Now we can get down to business. First of all, I haven't given up or slack off, because I'm still working on future chapters. But I want to write the entire arc covering Chapter 3 completely, because I want to focus on that without having to think about expectations. So once that's finished, I'll publish one chapter per week, and I plan to do the same with the arcs for Chapters 4 and 5, because I have a lot to research regarding what exists in the Poppy Playtime lore and what I've imagined. So don't worry, I'm still working.
Next, I'll probably have to take a break from writing to replay the games, to immerse myself in the atmosphere and see the path I want Andy to take. The advantage with Chapter 3 is that I can play each level in any order I want.
To finish off this month, Chapter 5 is coming out on consoles, so I can play it to study the setting and the rest of the game to see what might interest me, and also spend time with Lily, whom I adore! Seriously, cute girls with long hair will always make me swoon!
And here's the final announcement regarding this story. I thought about it for a long time after the release of Chapter 5. I watched the videos and followed the revelations carefully, and I finally decided that The Prince of Toys won't go beyond Chapter 5. I don't think I can wait another year to finish my own story. I already have a well-written roadmap (in broad strokes), and I don't want yet another unfinished story, so I'm going to focus on this one and Total Brütal this year. So rest assured, everything will be fine.
