[If the future is going to be like this, I need to do something.] He turned to the desk in the room and sat down. He began rummaging through the drawers of the desk. [According to Christopher's memories, these drawers should contain newspapers of important events in the Empire and reports of events in the Duchy. After all, he's probably keeping them here for future reference, as they might be useful for the next head of the Duchy.] He found the newspapers and began examining them. [According to the newspapers, we are in the year 1XXX, which means there's only one year left until the main novel begins... I wish I had come a little further back... it would have been easier. Now I don't have much time. Will one year be enough for me?] He thought, his face falling. [But it's too early to be sad. At least the novel hasn't started yet. I must make good use of this opportunity. First, I must change the events that will happen.] The reason Elina fell in love with Christopher was because when Elina first arrived in the Duchy, no one welcomed her well. Everyone thought she was a fraud and treated her badly. Christopher didn't believe her when he first saw her either, but he treated her kindly and spent time with her. The Duke, did not believed Elina, and had begun investigating her. When the results came back, he apologized to Elina and tried to make himself to get forgiven with amends. Elina, being the main female character, was quite innocent and naive, so she accepted the Duke's apology without hesitation. [Quite cliché, I wouldn't have accepted it.] Elina's mother was a peasant; the Duke had met Elina's mother in a bar and had an affair with her. He had treated Elina's mother like a toy and then abandoned her. [Even though he didn't believe Elina, ignoring the mistreatment she received was absurd and not just "mistreatment," it was outright abuse. If Christopher hadn't held her, she would have almost fallen down the stairs and died because of the servants. It's unbelievable! How could a servant knowingly push a guest down the stairs?! I'm going crazy thinking about it! If Christopher hadn't held her, she could have been injured, or in the worst case, she could have died!] But the duke didn't even punish that servant, unbelievable!] As more scenes from the novel came to mind, he felt like he was about to explode with anger. Just then, the door knocked. -- "Young master, it's me, may I come in?" -- He suddenly came to his senses thanks to the voice of a young man. -- "Come in." -- A tall young man with brown hair and tired black eyes, probably in his twenties, entered. This person was Ben, Christopher's assistant in the novel. He was someone who had helped Christopher greatly in the novel. -- Young master, you're awake. -- Yes, is something wrong, since you've come so early in the morning? -- --Young master, the duke is summoning you to his office; he has something important to tell you. -- [Something important? What could it be? Suddenly summoning me like this honestly makes me feel uneasy.] After hearing this, he got dressed and set off for the duke's office according to the duke's orders. He knocked on the door. -- "Duke, it's me, Christopher." --
-- "You can come in, I was expecting you." -- "From now on, you will be handling the dukedom's official duties . I will officially hand the duke seat to you over in a week." -- "What?!" -- In a moment of shock he loudly screamed. --Ahem, Father, where did this sudden decision come from? You are healthy now. I thought you'd wait another two years or so.-- [I didn't think something like this would happen .Because in the novel only after he killed the duke Christopher could have the position of the duke. He killed the duke in the middle of the novel by Christopher because he ignored the abuse Elina suffered and opposed their love, to prevent from being separated with his love of his life he decidedto kill him so things would get easier. This scene even showed how obsessed Christopher was and how much he willing to do to be with Elina.] [Seriously, he's a complete psychopath. To be so in love with his own sister, even though she's not completely blood realated it is his step-sister it is insane, and he go far as killing his own father i can't believe that i used to love that scene i was must lost my mind back then ...] --Yes, I'm handing over this position to you sooner than expected because for the past few days my muscles haven't been moving as they used to. I'm having difficulty moving and I can't even hold a sword anymore. As you know using sword is important thing for Duchy and i can't do use it anymore. The doctor said I've been poisoned. I don't know what kind of poison it is, but because of the poison, I'm becoming less and less mobile each day. So I'm leaving the dukedom to you and planning to recover in a rural area and retire. It's a bit early, but i think you are ready.-- --Poisoned??!! --Did you find who did it how ,and why ??-- --Yes, a woman I was with recently, a total whore, she's been harboring resentment to me because i bored and left her and she poisond me! She wanted me to take responsibility for her, hah. That's why you can't be with women who don't know their place; they think they're something special when you give them a little attention. It's ridiculous! Look at the state a nobleman like me has fallen into because of that lowlife woman!!!-- [He's is seriously blaming the woman, when he used her and throw her !! He is really a trash beyond change !! Of course, if you're constantly cuddling with women and playing with them, you'll eventually reap the karma.] [But this actually works to my advantage too. After all, if the duke leaves before the main character arrives, the main character won't face bullying and any hardship in the dukedom, and she won't become so attached to Christopher, and I'll have the opportunity to prevent her love towards Christopher!!]
