Chapter 4: Playing House.
Mene opens the door
Ares is a bit amazed, it was clean and not changed for all these years. "Oh! What's this?" asked Mars as He raises a Teddy Gorilla. "Hey! Me-Goring!" said Ares as he hugs it. "You're so cute!" said Mars. "Shut up!" said Ares as he giggles. "Come on, don't be the tough guy, I know you care people way too much... that's what I love about you..." said Mars as he looks at him while he squeezes a Teddy dog.
"Come on, I'm not that good." said Ares as Mars goes to him and tackle him to the bed. They bounce up and down a little. Mars holds him on the hands. Mars moves closer to him and, snuggle him instead.
"I know you don't want to do this Ares. I'm fine with that." said Mars. "Thank you." said Ares as Mars moves to his left. "I pieced it out already..." said Mars as he hugs Ares down to hugs chest and kiss his forehead. "I wanted too, but, My memories hunt me more." said Ares. "If you want too, you can come with me, I'll help you, well, both of us on therapy. I hate to admit it, but, I was too proud, to be taken care of...well, Only Selly able to break that, now... you. Thanks." said Mars.
Ares snugs his nose on his chest. "I thank you also. I feel, safe, when you are around, but; I'm sorry I cannot give more... we, don't have any labels." replied Ares. "I know, but, I just, want to be in this moment..." replied Mars.
In the City
Minerva and her Son Rex was eating. Bellona looks at them. "Hey Baby sister, Hey baby boy. Where is Uncy?" asked Bellona. Minerva rolls her eyes. "Come on Mervs... geez, you are so rebelliouss; if you get too angy, you will look like Big bro." said Bellona as she grabs the bacon on Minerva's plate.
There Father goes inside. "Offsprings, Where is your Brother?" asked him. "It seems, he want to play house for a while... Geez Dad, you favor big bro so much. You are not even blood related." said Minerva as she goes away. Rex looks at his Grandpa. "Bellona, contact Mars and Achilles. As men of our family, They should attend more events. And, Why, is Minerva buying a farm?" asked him.
"Dad, It's Mars'... my doodness, I mean, come on Daddy Marshall. Minerva is jealous sometimes to big broskie. Give her some attention too." said Bellona as she stands up and wave goodbye. Mashall sighs.
He ponders and look at his Family picture. It was Mars, and his stepsisters and his half brother; Achilles. Mars' mother goes to him slowly and covers his eyes. "Guess who?" asked her. "Rhea!" said by him. "How is Marshall! Oh! Baby Rex! Kiss grandmama!"s aid by her as she hugs her. Marshall He looks at Rex.
"Rex, what you want for dinner?" asked Marshall.
"Dinosaur! I heard they taste like chicken!" said Rex as he giggles.
Back on Ares' room at night
Ares was sleeping soundly as Mars was hugging him. Mars woke up gasping for air as his phone rings. He looks who's calling.
"Father." said Mars as he goes outside to the porch.
"Hello?" asked Mars.
"Mars, where on the world are you? You will be promoting the Gala tomorrow!" said Marshall.
"Fuck! Damn..." said Mars.
"Mars, this is off character of you. But look, if you finished tomorrow, you can take your absence again. Also, bring yourself a date, a beautiful maiden or two, I don't want people to look at you as some depressed widower." said Marshall as he turns off his phone.
Mars look sadden by it as he looks at Ares as he closes his phone, he goes back to bed and Hug Ares as Ares looks at him. "What's wrong?" asked Ares. Mars pecks his lips. Mars sighs. "Just, let me have these moment." said Mars as they go back to sleep, snuggling.
The next Morning
Ares and Mars was eating breakfast. Athen looks at them while carrying Luna. "Wow. My goodness, my pure maiden heart is flabbergasted seeing my notg blood related uncles. "Ew!" shouted both the twins. "Shut up! You two are not women! Geez!" replied Athena. Luna giggles.
They all giggle. "Even Luna approved you need to shut up." said Mene as she enters and give them Garlic Fried rice, boneless fried milkfish, eggs and hot dogs. They started to eat.
"So, what's your itinerary for today?" asked Mene. "I... I will be returning home, my city is a town away. I'll return about days from now." said Mars. Ares looks at Mars. "I'll return, I promise." said Mars as Mene's wife goes inside them. Mene's wife looks at Ares and Mars with her eyebrows crossed.
"Who are these handsome fellas?" asked her. "Oh! Maria; this is Mars. This is Ares...Ares is my baby brother." said Mene. "Girl, your brother looks like a model, and this Fella... stubbles, Man, grow beard, it will look very good on you." said Maria. "Again with the beard." said Mars as they giggle. Maria signs Mene as they go to their room.
"Mene! That's Mars right? THE MARS...MARTIAN LION?!" said Maria. "Yes. Why?" asked Mene. "He's supposedly in the Gala tonight. I mean... He's supposedly intimidating, not charming? Did he ate something bad?" asked Maria.
"Shhhhh... Let him be Mars of Selene...or Ares now." said by Mene. Maria looked shocked, looked VERY SHOCKED. "This is not good." said Maria.Later that Afternoon. Mars packed his things. "Take care, I will still return and continue, us, dating." said Mars as Ares goes down to him, cover them with his cowbow hat so the children will not see them kissing.
In the Martian Lion Company
Mars goes out in his suit as he takes out his long sleeve and sunglasses. The people looked shocked. "Everyone, come here... Look, I am not mad, but I am severely disappointed. Where are my Sisters? Call them inn the meeting room, as Rex sees him and Runs to him. He carries Rex. "Uncy!" said Rex. "Rex my Boy! Let me hear your Dinosaur roar!" said Mars. "Rawr!" said Rex as he giggles.
"Look. Executives meeting board..."said seriously and intimidatingly as they all go the meeting board.
In the Meeting Board.
"And Cold Steel from Canada..." said by Minerva."Thank you Vice President." said Mars as he stands up. "So, I am thinking..." said Mars. Some started to shake. "I smell fear.." said by Mars as he walks slowly to the Financing executive. "What, are we,missing,here, chief of finance?" asked Mars as he shows a land purchase.
He sweats even more. "The...taxation is off, sir Mars." said by him as Mars throws the papers angrily. Mars signs his middle finger as the security takes the finance chief back to his office. As he Remembers Ares covering him with a coat. Marfs signs stop. "Okay,look, I will give you another chance... Fix this up and we will have no problem... got it?" said Mars softly. They all look at him. "Everyone, dismiss." said Mars.
Minerva was intrigued.
"VP...Look, set backs like this is pushing our company off. SO I was thinking." said Mars. Minerva started to shake. "Sorry, Lil' sister, relax." said Mars. "Okay, I'm sorry. I mean. Wait what?" questioned Minerva.
Mars looks at his hand as he holds Ares' shaking hand and smile a little.
"Let's head to the office, We should talk, a lot of things...not just as President-Vice President... but as family." said Mars. Minerva sighs in relief as Mars signs at her. Marshal looks at them. He doesn't seem to be amused as he goes to the elevator.
On Mars' office
Masrhall was on the desk and chair. As Mars and Minerva enters. "I miss this desk... How thus it feels for the past 10 years? Overpowering isn't?" asked Marshal as he looks at the top view of the building, showing the blue twilight with orange lights scattered around the places.
"Marvelous. Top of the world, top of everything." said Marshal. "Dad, I did not expected you to..." said Mars. "Shhhh... hush my dear boy." said Marshal. Marshal takes out a hand written letter. By the looks of the sunflower design and paper. It was Selene's. "Dad, this is invading privacy!" said Mars. "Uh-oh... I trained you to be a ferocious lion... Why you seem to soften up?" Asked Marshall. "Minerva, I told you to tail your brother right?" asked Marshall. Mars looks at her.
"I ... I was distracted." said Minerva. "No, you obviously did,not,follow,my,instructions. You are as useless as your birth mother." said Marshall as he calmly opens the letter. "Dad. Stop." said Marshall.
"My Dear bumblebee, happy fifth anniversary. I want you to know that, I love you, we may sometimes fight because I am stubborn and you are stubborn... and you are cute when you get angy..." said Marshall. Mars takes the letter off.
"Mars! Listen! Being on your palce, demans , power! Demands authority! Demands blood, sweat and tears! Do you not understand it? If you soften up! I guess, I will give it to your half brother, my son Achilles instead!" said Marshall.
Minerva was shaken as she holds her shoulder.
"No..." said Mars in a ascending tone.
"Excuse me? You know, how much of a good prodigy Achilles is, Like you and your mother... Unlike my, good for nothing children... they are even the wrong gender! Women, cannot and will never,ever, run the company as well as you and I did." said Marshall. "I think this is gender bias? No. I am not even blood related to you... Minerva and Bellona are very good in their own field... In fact... Minerva is a Magna Cum laude... she even..." said Mars while facing the terrified Minerva.as Marshall throws a stressball at Mars.
"Shut! The! Fuck! Up! Shut the fuck up,Please." said Marshall. "Look, I'm sorry. I did not, even felt, an ounce of anger from you, while I throw that ball." said Marshall. "Dad, please, understand. I don't want to be the lion anymore... My sisters deserve better... You deserve better! I, I want to be out of this hustle. I want to be..." said Mars.
As he remembers Ares greeting him in the Gravestone.
"You're in love aren't you? Who is she?" asked Marshall. Mars looks at him. "Come on Minerva, The Gala awaits us." said Mars as she holds Minerva's hand and they go to another office.
Minerva cannot hold back her tears and cry. "I'm so scared... I am so so scared! It's like that time, I was pregnant with Rex and he send me away!" said Minerva.
"I'm sorry I let that happened to you. I was powerless that time said Mars as he hugs her. "There there..." Bellona and Rex goes inside. "Mommy?" asked Rex as Minerva hugs Rex tightly. "I'm here mommy." said Rex.
Bellona looks at Mars as he hugs all of them. "Mars! Wow, this is like, the Mars we knew years back." said Bellona. "Hey. I'm sorry I left you guys behind. You are my brilliant, brilliant, sisters and Rex of course... he will be the T-REX one day." said Mars. They giggle.
"But for now. Maybe, you will meet my special someone one day... I am not sure if what is even the relationship between me and my special one, for now." said Mars.
Later at the Gala on De Leon Mansion
Rex and Mars was dancing as the the audience seems to love this new Mars. The girls gossiping now few things that are very positive.
Marshall sighs. "Come on Honey, my son is enjoying. That's what matters most." said Rhea. "I feel the Lion I made turned into some, I don't understand now." said by him. "Dad Broskie is happy... damn, now he seems to be...very DADDY, he lacks beard though." said Bellona.
He looks around and Plays the Piano. It was Moonlight sonata. Selene's favorite.
Everyone gathers around him as he stands up and face them. "Executives, Guests, People of the House.This is a set for a toast! And an Announcement." said Mars as he opens Selene's letter..
'I'll read the most important part..." said Mars
My Sweet Stingy,Lovely,Bumblebee... If I die, I want to set you free... Do Some sports, you know how much you look good on beard." said Mars as they all laugh.
"I know you wanted to tend baby goats, you like goat cheese a lot, especially I made from our farms. I love too see you in the field, that one near the shore if... We ever go to the Port town I talk to you about..." said Mars as he started to weep. "I want you to see my family one day, Smell the fresh smelly oysters...euphemism..." said Mars as the crowd giggle and became teary a little.
"And I love you with all my heart. I'm sorry , I cannot carry our beautiful Juno... I wanted for us, to have a slow...happy life. Away from everything." said Mars as he faces them teary eyed.
"Mom, Thank you, You thought me to be resilient. Dad, I am sorry, I cannot be the Martian Lion you want me to be, any longer. Bellona; Thank you for assissting us in the sidelines. Achilles! Be free! Rex. Make your dream come true...Be a T-Rex! And Minerva. Fuck this! I AM SO PROUD OF YOU! I am sorry for not showing you, I saw how hard you work, how jealous you are, I am sorry that I just watch you being taken away and return back here. You deserve better and I believe will push our company forward!" said Mars as he opens his hand to Minerva.
"Mars! What are you doing?!" shouted Marshall. "Minerva, I see you!" said Mars. Minerva smiles and she becomes teary. "Everyone! I... Mars De Leon... The LION, am resigning! I will take everything slow and enjoy what I have and what I am today... Please welcome your New President... Minerva de Leon!" shouted Mars. Minerva became teary as he hugs Mars.
"You deserve this. You are smart, kind, sometimes snobby but I know, among all, you work so hard for this." said Mars to her.
Marshall walks to them. "What's the meaning of this?" asked Marshall. "Father, I quit. I realize...Maybe there is more to life than money. More Than me. Than everything I have..." said Mars.
"This is Selene's last wish for me too." said Mars as he cheers with everyone. Mars goes to his car and drive back to the Cabin.
It was a rainy night, he sat down and waited.
Till around sunrise, he fell asleep. Ares greets him.
"Howdy pardner." said Ares. Mars smiles. "You sure are charmer." said Mars. "Sunflower seeds?" asked Ares as he gives him one. "Thanks.
Mars and Ares was just silence on the Cabin's deck, looking at the blue skies and the warm raising. Ares hugs him.
"What are...we? I love you Ares, despite, we just, meet few days ago. I cannot explain." said Mars. "Pardner..." said Ares slowly caress Mars' face and kiss him, They started to undress as they go insidede the cabin as Ares lower and slower. Ares pulls Mars pants down.Mars was amazed. "Oh... OH! Oh my..." said Mars as he holds Ares head gently as Ares callous hands are a bit hard but it was gentle as it holds Mars' private parts. First slowly. then fast, Mars hold's Ares' head breathing Heavily as Ares eye contacts him in sincere, warm loving stare. As he fasten up the edging then slow again, around and around as Mars climaxes, he controls his moans loud as Ares keeps edging him using his mouth and tounge.
Ares stands up, swallows as Mars kisses Ares. "Wow, that's a lot." said Ares. "Wow you're good." said Mars. "Eh." replied Ares as he pecks Mars lips.
