"Into the dragon Island!" Reginold shouted.
Ren prepared to venture into the lands of the dragons and would love to have a ride on Parthenax's back.
Reginold then packed and rode on his dragon partner and then they set off. Parthenax went to flap his wings and then started to take off.
"Woohoo!" Ren screamed. It was years that he last rode on Parthenax's back and he was still a kid at the time.
They headed East where the sun was rising and to the Dragon Island. It was the Land of Dragons themselves. They left the continent and met the seas.
Riding on his back felt refreshing and breezy. Making their hairs blown away on the process.
Ren then saw the vast seas and then saw the island from afar. It was several hours of travel and luckily hadn't met a storm, they would greatly had a turbulent flight experience. It would be devastating and also dangerous.
From afar, they could see the island, making Ren smile. "Welcome to the Dragon Island!" Reginold announced.
He then put the map on the surface of Parthenax's back. He saw that the Fire dragons were above the volcano. Lightning dragons on the mountain peak, Water dragon on the lake, Earth dragon on the rocky hills, Wind dragons on the cliffs, and the Dragon King Lair hidden in the cave.
They arrived at the dragon Island and headed directly to the volcano where the Fire Dragons were located. They could see several dragons that were flying below them and they could even see several of them flying beside them in the clouds.
Ren saw them and was amazed at what he saw.
The dragons were friendly and were not hostile until.....
They heard booming sound from afar. Dusts of soil went spraying from below like a bomb has exploded.
It was a dark dragon that had black miasma emitting from its mouth. Reginold then clicked his mouth. It was a Demonic Dragon. A dragon from the demonic realm. Tamed and soul bonded with demons themselves.
"Parthenax!" Reginold shouted, then Parthenax roared.
Roar!!!
It dove towards the dark dragon and then clashed. Ren leaped from above and then landed on the ground. Then he saw a small dragon that was wounded.
The two dragons attacked each other and then they flew away from where Ren was. Ren then saw the dragon that was lying down on the ground where the explosion has happened.
It was a dragon with leathery wings and a rainbow horn on its head. He whimpered and then saw Ren approaching. It has a wound on its neck and was in critical condition.
Ren without much further ado, he approached the dragon and Healed him. Making it open its eyes and then breathed in and out.
Meanwhile....
Parthenax roared at the dark dragon. It has a Demon on its back and it was its owner. They breathed corroded acid and it's dragon aura could melt the surroundings with it's toxic curse.
Parthenax then used Dragon's breath and the enemy used the same skill too. The breaths collided and an explosion happened. Bursting into an explosion.
They soon saw the enemy flew away and then wanted to escape. Making Reginold agitated.
"Hey! You will not fly away unscathed from me!" Reginold screamed.
Parthenax then used Piercing Breath and then inhaled huge amounts of heat. Then breathed out to them with a laser like stream of pure heat energy. Like a compressed fire that consumes all.
The enemy was hit on the wings but the demon blocked it with his magic barrier. Making it only a scratch on the surface of the skin.
Parthenax and Reginold then breathed out. The battle has ended and they were the victors. Though it left a bit of a chasm inside their hearts. It was the first time that an enemy escaped them. All of their enemies were either dead or left defeated beyond recognition.
They soon descended and saw Ren healing the Dragon. Landing on the side and watching them with curiosity.
"Ren, that dragon," Reginold was shocked that it was not in his memory to see a dragon with rainbow horn on its head.
Parthenax scoffed and then Ren felt a surging magic was emitted from the dragon he was healing.
It stood up and saw that its wound was healed. Then magic runes were seen floating on his head. Making him alerted as what was happening, he did not know.
Reginold then was shocked. It was offering a soul bond.
"Ren! It was offering the soul bond....it chose you!" He said.
"But.... You don't know if it is a weak dragon or not. I suggest to know first before bonding. If you bond with a trash dragon, you will be trash your entire life!" He warned Ren. But Ren did not listen and followed his heart and what his mind tells him.
"I will become strong then if he is a weak one. Besides, it is rude to reject a dragon's offer of his soul bond." Ren said then smiled at Reginold.
"Hmm, okay, up to you." Reginold sighed and then put his hands of his waist. "Sigh, this kid."
Ren then accepted the soul bond and then he felt that his heart was linked to the dragon. His death could be the death of his dragon too. And his dragon's death will be his death. It was what Reginold have said to him. That was why, he was opposed to bonding with a weak dragon. As it could lead to his demise too.
After the link has been set, the dragon then felt alive. Ren could feel its emotions and he immediately knew that it was not an ordinary dragon.
It sneezed and then fire was seen emitted from his breath.
"A fire dragon?" Ren pondered.
Then afterwards, it breathed ice, flapped its wings and wind gushed, earth trembling on its feet and sparks of lightning were emitted as it yawned.
"What the ..." Ren immediately realised that it was a multi elemental dragon.
Roar!!!
Soon after, a humongous dragon appeared resembling the young one although it was bigger and broader.
"Son!" It spoke.
"Are you hurt? Where is that Dark Dragon?" It seemed on high alert.
Parthenax then recognised the aura and it was its ruler. "My King!" Parthenax spoke.
"King?" Ren was perplexed. "And also, Parthenax you can speak?"
He was blown by surprises one after another.
"Wait, so that means, you are the Dragon King?"
"Ruthless child, bow before me, that is not how a human talk to Dragons." The Dragon King spoke.
"Wait? I could sense my son's dragon essence in you. Did you perhaps? No..... Child, what is your name?" He asked.
"Ren!" He replied.
"Ren, with my son soul bonded with you, you are a high priority to defend. Your death means the death of my son. How careless of my child to bond with a weak human child." He critically spoke.
"Hmm, Fire dragon! Speak! You must protect this child with your life on the line. I can't let anything happen to my child and it's soul bonded human." He instructed.
"I will abide my King!" Parthenax replied. "Though, My King, I had tasted from this so-called weak human child ...a defeat." Parthenax boastfully declared.
"Hmm," the Dragon King watched him from head to toe.
"I swore it's true." Parthenax added.
"Alright, Dragons don't lie and so I will believe that." He spoke. "I will protect my child and you protect him. This is for the best option..... Amber! Let's go!" The Dragon King left with his hatchling. It then watched Ren once again and then bowed slightly. It means it respected Ren even he was a Dragon Prince.
"Goodbye! But we will meet again.....someday when I am strong enough." The Dragon Prince spoke.
They soon left and then Ren and the two were the ones left. Reginold perspired greatly after witnessing the Dragon King on the flesh. It was his lifelong wish to see him with his own eyes.
"Well, that went smoothly....to be able to bond with the Dragon Prince means to harness all of the elements. Ren! You hit a jackpot!" Reginold was so jealous of him, he could die.
