Chapter 13 - Chapter 13:The Name That Was Erased

Chapter 13: The Name That Was Erased

The sky was breaking.

Not cracking—breaking, like glass under pressure.

The System Enforcer stood straighter now, its damaged armor reforming unnaturally.

"Correction protocol escalated."

Reality twisted.

Gravity reversed.

The sea rose into the air like a frozen wall.

Tae-Hyun felt it.

For the first time since his return—

Pain.

Conceptual Damage

Blood ran down his arm.

Not from a wound—

From existence being shaved away.

"So this is your real weapon," Tae-Hyun muttered.

"You don't kill people."

"We remove outcomes."

The Enforcer moved again.

Each strike erased space itself.

Tae-Hyun dodged—but slower now.

[Warning]

Core Stability: Fluctuating

His breath grew heavy.

So even I have a limit… right now.

A Voice Across the World

Seo-Ah collapsed at the warehouse.

She screamed in pain—not her own.

"Bro—!" she cried.

Her title flared violently.

[Beacon of Sanctuary – Forced Activation]

Light surged through the system pathways.

Across distance. Across rules.

Straight to Tae-Hyun.

"Don't you dare disappear," her voice echoed faintly.

"You promised you'd stay."

The pain eased—just enough.

Tae-Hyun steadied himself.

"…You're stubborn," he said softly.

The Enforcer's Revelation

The Enforcer froze mid-motion.

Its voice changed.

Lower.

Almost cautious.

"Interference detected."

"Cross-variable resonance confirmed."

Its head tilted.

"You truly don't remember everything."

Tae-Hyun narrowed his eyes.

"Then tell me."

Silence.

Then—

"In the previous world, you were not called Kang Tae-Hyun."

The air went dead.

"Your registered title was—"

The system stuttered violently.

[REDACTED]

"—Sovereign of the End."

Tae-Hyun's heart slammed.

Fragments flashed—

Cities standing behind him.

The system kneeling.

A choice.

"…So that's what I became," he whispered.

Why He Lost Before

"You erased me because I won," Tae-Hyun said.

"Incorrect," the Enforcer replied.

"You erased yourself."

Shock rippled through him.

"You chose this world over absolute control."

"You allowed the reset to save the survivors."

Seo-Ah's voice trembled through the light.

"…Bro?"

Tae-Hyun exhaled slowly.

"I chose people," he said.

His eyes hardened.

"And I'll choose them again."

Breaking the Rule

He stepped forward.

The system screamed warnings.

[Forbidden Action Detected]

Overwrite of predefined narrative

Tae-Hyun placed his hand on the Enforcer's chest.

"I don't need my old power," he said calmly.

Cracks spread rapidly.

"I only need my will."

[Permanent Change Applied]

Enforcers can be damaged by human intent

The Enforcer reeled back.

For the first time—

It sounded afraid.

Retreat

The anomaly destabilized.

"This outcome was not calculated."

The Enforcer began dissolving into light.

"Irregular… Sovereign…"

Tae-Hyun watched it fade.

"Go," he said.

"And remember this feeling."

The sea crashed back into place.

The sky healed.

The anomaly vanished.

Aftermath

Tae-Hyun dropped to one knee.

Breathing hard.

Still alive.

Still human.

Back at the warehouse, Seo-Ah collapsed in relief.

"He's still here," she whispered.

A final system message appeared—quiet, almost reluctant.

[System Update]

Oversight reduced

Player autonomy increased

Cause: Irreversible

Tae-Hyun looked up at the sky.

"They won't forget me anymore," he said.

No response.

But somewhere—

Something was watching more carefully than before.
