After Shisui finally showed up and overheard the last bits of their conversation and saw the state of the area with ground being all torn up and corpses of Stone ninjas are scattered here and there, he naturally immediately questioned them about what happened in detail.
They quickly reported to Shisui the details of the enemy attack and then Hikari didn't have a choice but to mention her newly awoken Kekkei Genkai. Since Shisui already overheard something about it, there is no way to hide it from him now even if Hikari wanted to.
When Shisui heard about the new Bloodline awakening and how it was used to cut off the enemy's wrist, he was momentarily shocked.
After all, Shisui is a Jonin with high-level clearance and access to the village's intel that contains a lot of secrets, including the detailed lists of the known and recorded Bloodlines. He is also a high-ranking and respected member of the Uchiha clan, and the clan has its own archives with similar intel to which Shisui has access as well, but Shisui never heard or read about Bloodlines like that.
Also, Shisui had investigated Hikari's past thoroughly, and he had a good idea who her parents were, and he was sure that there are no Bloodline awakenings ever recorded from those families' trees.
Although it was possible that some sleeping genes had finally awakened after multiple generations of dormancy, but such occurrences are very rare.
Then Shisui glanced at Yuta and thought about how unrealistic were the chances of having them both, Yuta and Hikari, to awaken some unknown and unrecorded Bloodlines like that. With Yuta's future foresight Shisui wouldn't be very surprised if Yuta was the one who had chosen Hikari to add her into the squad, after all Yuta could predict such a thing like a new Bloodline awakening probably, but the thing is – Yuta wasn't the one who chose Hikari and he has nothing to do with that.
Back in the days when Shisui was thinking about the formation of his own squad, he just saw an opportunity in Yuta's future foresight ability and wanted to stay close to him and to keep him by his side. Then Yuta mentioned that he wanted to end up on Itachi's team and that's when the idea of forming his own Genin squad and becoming a Jonin-instructor had come to Shisui's mind.
That decision served multiple purposes, first – he would keep Yuta by his side, keep him safe and guide his development as a ninja, in turn he would get all the intel Yuta could gather with his future foresight. Second – he would do the same for Itachi, his close friend, and make sure that the future Patriarch of the clan will become a splendid ninja, and with all the pressure with the clan's difficult situation, he better to become a splendid ninja rather sooner than later.
But as for the third member of his Genin squad, Shisui didn't have any candidates in mind at a time, and since Yuta didn't mention anyone else besides Itachi, Shisui had to either get a random third member or find the third member himself.
That's when he asked Itachi if he had someone in mind, and Itachi simply answered that Hikari was decent. Back then, Shisui had investigated Hikari thoroughly and didn't find anything off.
Then, as Itachi and Yuta was about to go through early graduation after their second year at the Academy, Shisui learned that Hikari had applied for the early graduation as well, that's when he said to Hiruzen that he want's Itachi and the two other early graduates with civilian background from Itachi's class in his team, since only Yuta and Hikari had applied for early graduation from Itachi's class that year, it was obvious to Hiruzen who he meant.
From beginning to end, Yuta wasn't involved at all in the decision making about who would be the third squad member, and Shisui even suspected that Yuta wasn't able to even predict with his future foresight that he would end up in a squad led by Shisui.
Also, that's when Shisui got a better understanding of Yuta's ability and noticed that it was far from perfect and has its own limitations, since Yuta was likely unable to predict his own squad's situation beforehand and was genuinely surprised when he found out that Shisui was his Jonin-instructor back then.
That means that Hikari did end up in his squad by chance, and what the chances are that she would awake some unknown Bloodline same as Yuta? One such awakening, like Yuta's, has almost zero chances of occuring, but two at once? On the same squad? Shisui's intuition screamed that it is completely impossible, and there is something more to it.
Inwardly Shisui was overwhelmed with suspicion, disbelief, and a strong sense that something was very wrong with his squad, but he lacked any evidence or clues to figure out what it was.
Also, since Yuta didn't mention anything about it before, it seemed to Shisui that even he was unable to predict these events.
Outwardly, on the other hand, Shisui appeared calm and composed, he said in a serious tone, "I see. It is very unexpected. It is a very good thing to be able to awaken a Kekkei Genkai, well done, Hikari. Although, I have to say, you guys were right when you said that it should remain hidden. Even I have a hard time believing in it, and if everyone in the village hears about it, they will have a lot of questions. We should keep it a secret for the time being."
"Besides..." Shisui continued after a brief pause with a more casual tone, "It is expected from a ninja to keep their jutsus hidden and to not reveal them casually, so there is no harm in keeping it all to yourself, Hikari."
"Thanks, sensei." Hikari replied gratefully.
'I wonder why she is so insistent on keeping it a secret...' Yuta thought, 'It's one thing that there might be some suspicions towards Shisui, since two of his teammates had unexpectedly awakened some Bloodlines, but what is it for her? To me it seems that she is the one who wants it to remain a secret the most out of all of us.'
'For her, revealing that she had awakened a new Bloodline, from the normal perspective such action seems like it has a lot of benefits and no downsides. It will make her more valuable to the village, rise her reputation and things like that, so why is she so insistent on keeping it hidden?'
'Now that I think about it, she did appear previously as if she knew something about Danzo, is she afraid that her new Bloodline would attract his attention? That could be a possible explanation, but she shouldn't be able to know about Danzo so much for having such concerns in the first place... Sigh, I still have no idea what is going on inside her head...'
'Back in the day, my situation was a bit different, that's why I revealed my Calm State as a new Bloodline to Hiruzen without much hesitation. After all, my Calm State, no matter how you look at it, doesn't seem like it is a very powerful ability, so it shouldn't be coveted too much by others, so I believe there is not much danger in revealing it.'
'Also, I wanted to cover up with it for my excessive brutality and gruesomeness during my fight against the Mist ninjas, to not get the reputation of a cold-blooded murder machine, so my Calm State took all the blame for that and I will remain a good and kind-hearted ninja of the Leaf in everyone's eyes.'
'But Hikari's situation is a bit different, I guess. First, after I had revealed my new "Bloodline" to Hiruzen, it would be indeed very suspicious for her, as the member of the same squad, to awaken a new Bloodline as well. Second, her Bloodline is very different from my Calm State, it could cut off the limb of a legitimate Jonin and overturn a certain defeat into a decisive victory against such an opponent.'
'No matter how you look at it, it seems terrifyingly strong.' Yuta concluded.
"By the way, where were you, Shisui-sensei?" Yuta asked as his thought process returned to the present.
"Ah, it seems that I was lured away by the enemy." Shisui said apologetically, "But don't mind that, the bait they had used, it turns out it was a legit lead on something concerning our mission. I learned that our client, Takashi Murakami, had managed to acquire something valuable that the Stone ninjas were sent here to retrieve."
"This is getting way beyond our paygrade..." Yuta commented as he furrowed his brows, "A direct confrontation with Iwagakure on a C-rank mission, and the fight against their Jonin-led team, this is not even funny..."
"You are right." Shisui said, "This mission had escalated all the way to an A-rank since it involved a direct confrontation with a Jonin from one of the major hidden villages."
"But why does that fat guy holds onto something that Iwagakure wants so badly, that they even send a Jonin to retrieve it? Is he mad?" Hikari asked, "And to issue a C-rank protection mission from the Leaf, does he think that a standard Genin squad led by a Chunin, that is normally the case with C-rank missions, is enough to protect him from the Stone village?"
"He was likely trying to negotiate with the Land of Earth's Earth Temple to get a good price for the item they want." Shisui said after a few seconds of thinking, "He probably thought that the presence of the Leaf village's team would restrain the Stone village from acting aggressively and would buy him enough time to negotiate the price and to sell the item without being forced to give it away for free to the Stone ninjas. Well, it didn't go that way, but the decision is not entirely wrong."
'Just great. That fat idiot issued a C-rank mission to make us protect him from the Stone ninjas that even had a Jonin among them... If I knew that from the start, I wouldn't have minded failing the mission and letting those Stone ninjas to deal with that fat guy freely...'
'Well, I still could do just that, but it would feel like a huge waste. The three of us had fought here on the brink of dying and had defeated a Jonin in the end. I rather let everything stay this way than time-travel back and let those ninjas to have their way...'
"By the way, what is the item that the Stone ninjas came here for?" Hikari asked curiously.
"It was some kind of a relic that belonged to the Earth Temple from the Land of Earth, it has some religious significance to their land, that's why they want to retrieve it." Shisui replied.
'Well, this is underwhelming, it was just some piece of trash that has no use besides its religious value for their temple... And to think that we were putting our lives on the line for just so some fat rich moron could fleece some money from the Land of Earth...' Yuta thought a bit disappointed.

Before you ask, yes, I know that in cannon there are no other temples except The Fire Temple that was ever mentioned, but I thought it would be only appropriate if other lands had something similar.
