Chapter 11 - Protagonist Takashi is green

While Shiryu started his morning leisurely with the beautiful women who lived with him.

On the other side.

Protagonist Takashi and several boys including Kohta are the opposite. Since yesterday, they couldn't relax at all.

Especially after the bus they were riding ran out of gas, they had no other choice but to walk at times to find the nearest shelter.

In the end, he and the others decided to spend the night in an abandoned house.

The location was quite safe and difficult for the zombies to reach.

But there were some problems.

"I'm hungry...."

"I want to take a shower...!"

"There's no water or food here, why don't we move somewhere else?"

"We should move! I remember there's a convenience store around here."

Some female students and male students complained.

Takashi naturally acted as the leader of the group and said, "We certainly won't stay here forever. But you should also remember that there are zombies out there! The convenience store you mentioned is hard to reach unless..."

"Unless what?" One of the female students asked.

Takashi answered firmly, "We must fight together and kill the creatures that come our way."

"N-No way!"

"Such things are better done by boys like you."

"That's not fair, why should boys risk their lives for girls like you!"

"I disagree! Actually, I don't dare to fight those creatures!"

"Hiks! I just want to go home!"

The students started arguing and some of them were crying.

Takashi's face was grim, he felt that people were very troublesome and useless. However, as the protagonist, there was a part of him that had a hero complex.

So, he glanced at Kohta. The fat boy also glanced at him, their relationship was practically good since yesterday.

He held his shoulder with one hand in front of everyone, "All of you, calm down! I have another idea. There's no need for everyone to join the fight. But I hope there are some of you who are willing to form a group with me and Kohta. This group will get water and food supplies out there for everyone."

"Eeh, Takashi-kun, should I come too?" Kohta was reluctant.

But Takashi smiled at him, "Of course. Other than me, you are one of the reliable people in our group, Kohta."

Under the influence of the protagonist's halo, Kohta felt embarrassed and flattered by Takashi's words.

He patted his chest, "Alright, leave it to me!"

Takashi was satisfied. Fortunately, the fat boy was easy to persuade.

He glanced at the other male students in his group.

What he said earlier was definitely a better idea for them, but it also required the sacrifice of some of them.

The female students looked at the male students with pleading gazes. Except for Yui, she suddenly remembered Shiryu and regretted not immediately looking for him to join his group yesterday.

Without realizing it, her depressed expression made the male students have the urge to show off.

"I'll join!"

"Me too!"

"Aren't those just zombies? I just need to hit their heads hard before they attack."

One by one, the boys stood by Takashi's side. Among them, there was also the protagonist Junichi.

Takashi stood in front of those who were willing to follow him and nodded, "Good, we're leaving now!"

"Oooo!!"

The feeling of being the leader made him happy.

It also satisfied his pride as a protagonist.

Of course, Takashi didn't know he was the protagonist and how he related to the other women besides Rei in the original work.

If he knew, he would probably hate Shiryu even more. After all, not only did he snatch Rei away from him.

That boy also snatched Saeko, Shizuka and Saya who were supposed to be his harem members!

A while later.

On the way to the nearest convenience store.

"Haaaa! Die, damn zombie!"

"I-I managed to kill one!"

"We shouldn't be so afraid of them!"

With sticks or other hard objects, the boys in Takashi's group kill some of the zombies blocking their way.

They were starting to gain confidence because of that.

Takashi had also gotten used to killing those creatures with his baseball bat.

"Everyone, please be careful not to get their blood into your bodies. I remember a student at school became one of them just because of a drop of their blood in his eyes."

The one who said that was Junichi. While holding an iron pipe covered in the blood of the infected people, he awkwardly reminded everyone in the group.

Takashi glanced at him and had a good impression of him, probably because they were both protagonists.

"You're called Junichi, right? Thanks for the information, we'll keep that in mind!"

"Um... you're welcome, I just don't want one of us to become a zombie."

Junichi scratched his head.

This was an action that romcom protagonists usually did.

Soon, they continued their journey and finally arrived at the convenience store. Takashi told everyone to grab drinks and food that could be eaten right away.

The process went smoothly but just as they were exiting and planning to return to the rest of their group.

He saw some familiar people in the distance.

His expression became ugly, especially when his gaze fell on a red-haired boy.

Back to Shiryu's side.

Shiryu did not know the protagonist and his group were not far from them. For now, he was busy being a trainer.

"Slash his throat and remember, do it without closing your eyes, Saya."

"Easy for you to say, but I...!"

Saya didn't want to say she was scared.

Before this, she had never even killed a chicken or any other animal.

She looked at a policeman who had been infected with the Rage virus and was trapped inside a phone booth nervously.

The red eyes and pale face with prominent veins on the policeman's skin looked terrifying.

The hand Saya used to hold a naginata was trembling.

Come to think of it, why would a girl like her have to fight? Ah, it was because of a moment ago.

Shiryu invited the women living in his house to familiarize themselves with killing zombies.

This was quite important.

Because in the world that has changed into what it is now, they can't always depend on Shiryu or others when in danger.

Shiryu said they should at least be able to defend themselves in an emergency. A genius like Saya understood and thought it made sense.

However, it was easier said than done.

"Since Saya is too cowardly, how about you do it, Yukana?"

"I'm not a coward!"

Shiryu ignored Saya, and turned his gaze to a blonde gyaru.

Yukana gripped the naginata in her hand tightly, "Okay Shiryu, I'll do it!"

"Good spirit... Senpai."

Shiryu signaled Saeko to open the phone booth door.

Saeko without hesitation opened it and the cop infected with the Rage virus immediately ran towards Yukana.

He just followed his instinct to infect the person standing right in front of him.

Saya, Shizuka, Yuuki, Kyoko and even Rei who were also there naturally retreated, they were afraid.

Yukana was the same, but she had the courage and didn't want to disappoint Shiryu. So, with a cute scream, she slashed the neck of the zombie in front of her.

His head was severed and his body immediately fell to the ground.

He was dead.

Yukana had killed a few zombies at school yesterday, but now she felt the process was much smoother.

"I-I did it."

"90 points." Shiryu said while giving her a thumbs up.

"Yeay~!"

Yukana exclaimed, she jumped up and made her pair of twin mountains bounce in the air.

Luckily there wasn't a single flat-chested woman in Shiryu's group. Otherwise, the scene would have definitely made her feel inferior.

"Uh, this is disgusting." Yuuki commented on the zombie head rolling on the asphalt and felt nauseous.

She wanted to vomit.

"Oh no, I..." Kyoko's reaction was worse, her face paled and she hurriedly ran to the back of the car to vomit.

Shiryu shook his head.

He took out his diary and started writing.

[It's sunny this morning and even though the zombie apocalypse is still going on, I'm using this opportunity to train the women in my group.]

[Saeko is undoubtedly the most skilled among us, she and her kendo skills make it unnecessary for her to receive any training.]

[Now I just need to get the other women like Yukana, Saya, Shizuka, Yuuki, Rei and Kyoko used to killing zombies with their own hands.]

[To be honest, I want to find a way to end this disaster but I don't have a clue yet. For example, is there someone out there who has a vaccine or antibodies that make humans immune to the Rage virus?]

He waited for his ability to see the future to give him a clue.

But since the last time, that passive ability had not given him any more vision.

Shiryu had no definite goal except to strengthen his group and earn more rewards from the Diary System.

The heroines understood.

Many of them relied on Shiryu and waited for good news from him.

Just as Shiryu closed his diary, someone called him by his unfriendly name.

"Shiryu!"

Not only him, everyone in his group glanced at who was coming. Rei widened her eyes before frowning.

The person who came was none other than the protagonist Takashi.

He approached them with his group.

"It's you, Takashi. This world is so small, I thought you and the others had run far enough yesterday. But you're still in this city."

Or rather Tokyo.

Shiryu was secretly excited, he didn't expect to meet the protagonist he had slapped so soon.

The reason he was excited was of course because he couldn't wait to slap him again.

[Host, you sadist.]

System, besides exercising with the heroine and getting rewards from you. Only this kind of thing can entertain me.

"Are you mocking us?" Takashi was easily offended whenever dealing with Shiryu.

"Takashi, I know Shiryu. I'm sure he didn't mean anything bad." Junichi defended his enemy.

Takashi was not pleased.

Should he say how evil Shiryu is?

Junichi, you don't know!

What he didn't know, Junichi was Shiryu's classmate.

Junichi himself initially did not recognize Shiryu because of his transformed appearance.

Captain America's muscles confused him, was it him?

But after Takashi said his name, Junichi was sure it was Shiryu he knew. Still, he felt a little uncomfortable when he saw Yukana standing so close to him.

Wasn't that the girl who received the fake love letters from his friends?

She seemed to be in Shiryu's group.

Junichi didn't realize his girlfriend in the original work had been stolen from him.

"Yo Junichi, I'm glad you're still alive."

Shiryu shamelessly greeted the other protagonist.

Unlike Takashi, Junichi was his friend.

He didn't hate him.

"Haha... Yeah, I'm also glad you look okay, Shiryu. By the way, these women..."

Junichi glanced at the women beside and behind Shiryu.

He recognized them though not directly.

I mean, those women were popular in his school.

Two of them were even teachers!

"They're members of my group and live with me now."

"They live with you?!"

Not only Junichi, but Takashi and the other boys were shocked.

They looked at him with envy, but Takashi glared at him with hatred in his eyes.

How could he not?

Among those women, there was also Rei! But he didn't know why, she didn't greet him even though she saw him.

She was ignoring him.

And is it just his feelings or is Rei getting prettier?

Takashi felt sad and more angry.

"That's right, is it so surprising?" Shiryu made a confused expression.

Junichi and the other boy's lips twitched.

Intentionally or not, they felt Shiryu was showing off.

It made them annoyed.

"Rei, don't you have anything to say to me?" Takashi sighed and turned his gaze on his childhood friend.

He was the protagonist with high self-esteem and arrogance in his heart.

Instead of begging Rei to return to his group, he wanted her to first give him an explanation about her betrayal.

Yesterday, when he fainted, she left him and went with Shiryu's group.

That made his heart ache.

He did not notice Shiryu's evil-looking smile this time.

"Something to say to you?" Rei frowned and looked at her childhood friend coldly. "No, nothing."

"You...! I'm talking about your betrayal!"

"When did I betray? I don't understand what you mean, Takashi."

Rei was completely confused.

She and Takashi were just friends, and knowing he had fooled her.

She thought it was natural for her to move away from him and join Shiryu's group. Compared to Takashi, Shiryu was also more reliable.

Last night, she had also become his. In other words, his woman.

Right now, her lower hole was still sensitive. Rei's cheeks flushed slightly, she peeked at the side of Shiryu's face several times.

Takashi noticed Rei's small movements and his face gradually turned green. He suddenly had a bad feeling.

"Rei, you are my childhood friend! Instead of being with Shiryu, you should have stayed with me! Your actions are like a betrayal to me!"

"Huh? Haha." Rei laughed and smiled mockingly before saying, "Takashi, you're funny. You were my childhood friend, but since the past few years, our relationship hasn't been so good. Why should I live with you and not with my boyfriend?"

"Wait, what? Boyfriend?"

The baseball bat held by Takashi was shaking.

Yuuki giggled, she felt like she was watching a love triangle drama.

This was fun, it would be great if she had popcorn or potato chips to watch it with.

Saya felt Takashi was pathetic, he was such a loser.

Come to think of it, why did she like him before?

She forgot.

"Yes, now I'm Shiryu-kun's girlfriend!"

Rei dropped the bomb.

She even hugged one of Shiryu's arms in front of Takashi.

Takashi froze, he staggered back slightly and pointed with a very ugly expression.

His heart hurt like an NTR victim.

"You two are dating? How is that possible!?"

"Shiryu-kun is very handsome and strong. Why do you think I can't like him, Takashi?"

Rei stared at her childhood friend as if he was an idiot.

From Shiryu's point of view, there was a green hat shining brightly on the protagonist Takashi's head.

He stifled a laugh.

"Rei... You bitch! It hasn't been long since Hisashi died, but you... You've been dating another man!"

Takashi suddenly mentioned the name of a dead side character.

Rei sneered and looked at him disdainfully, "Takashi, I didn't expect you to be so hypocritical. Don't forget, you were the one who killed Hisashi and wanted to seize the opportunity to have me for yourself!"

"I-I'm not! Rei, you're slandering me! I didn't do it on purpose and had no such intentions!"

Takashi argued with a hint of panic in his voice.

It made Saeko, Yukana and the other women in Shiryu's group feel disgusted with him.

His words were definitely not convincing.

What Shiryu wrote about him in his diary seemed to be true.

"I don't believe it!"

Rei continued to glare at her childhood friend.

Ever since hearing Takashi call her a bitch, the remaining feelings she had for him fell to the lowest point.

She hated him.

"Rei, you—"

Before Takashi could finish his words, Shiryu's figure blocked his view.

Shiryu put one of his hands on his shoulder and said, "Enough Takashi, you think I'm going to keep quiet when you call my girlfriend a bitch?"

"Shiryu-kun..."

Rei looked at Shiryu's back with an infatuated gaze.

Being protected by her boyfriend certainly made her happy.

Takashi's face darkened, he gripped his baseball bat tighter and clenched his other hand hard.

He hated Shiryu so much and refrained from hitting him. After all, he still remembered how he had knocked him out before.

He doubted he could beat him and didn't want to embarrass himself if he lost a second time.

"Shiryu, you win. My group and I will leave now."

Takashi snorted and was ready to turn around.

But Shiryu was still clutching his shoulder, he refrained from screaming in pain but what made him almost crazy was...

Shiryu lowered his head and whispered to him.

"Win? Ah, that's not wrong. After all, last night... Rei and I had a lot of fun."

"!!!"

Takashi felt humiliated, but more than that— the pain in his heart left him breathless.

Especially at the thought of Shiryu fucking his childhood friend, Rei.

'Damn it! I'm killing you! I'll kill you, Shiryu!'

'And Rei, I'll make a bitch like you regret betraying me!'

The protagonist darkened.

He looked at Shiryu with murderous intent in his eyes.

Shiryu smiled and released his grip from her shoulders. He wondered what he would do after hearing what he said?

However, he was disappointed as Takashi immediately turned around and walked back towards his group.

"Let's go!"

Junichi still had something to say to Shiryu.

He wanted to ask if he could join his group?

Unfortunately, he didn't dare say it when Takashi looked scary.

He was clearly in a bad mood.

Kohta sighed, he glanced at Saya for the umpteenth time and reluctantly followed Takashi.

Saya raised one of her eyebrows, she noticed Kohta's gaze on her and wondered what was wrong with the fat boy?
