Chapter 1 - The Silver Thread of Fate

The last thing Seo-jun remembered was the blinding glare of high beams and the screech of tires on wet asphalt. He had reached out for Seo-ah's hand, his heart shattering not for himself, but for his children in the backseat. Then, there was only cold, dark silence.

Until there was light.

They woke up in a world that smelled of pine needles and ozone. They weren't dead. They were in a lush forest, their bodies feeling strangely light. They had been reborn into a world of Magic, Swords, and Dungeons.

But they weren't alone. Standing among them was Heixin. He looked no older than twenty-two, with a face so innocent it bordered on angelic. The family had rescued him back on Earth during a hiking accident months prior; he had become their shadow, a silent, mysterious older brother figure. None of them knew that Heixin was the one who had quietly guided their souls to this world.

The Knock at the Door

For weeks, they lived in a small cottage on the outskirts of the Kingdom of Aethelgard. However, in this world, "Otherworlders" were feared. It was said that centuries ago, the Ancestors cast a summoning spell to bring heroes from other worlds to defeat the Demon Lord. But the spell was broken—it couldn't be turned off. Now, people from other dimensions slipped through the cracks randomly.

To manage this, the "Dimensional Peace Organization" (DPO) was formed. They were the law.

One morning, the peaceful silence was broken by a heavy thud on their wooden door. Outside stood three agents in silver-plated armor, their eyes glowing with mana-detection magic.

"Seo-jun of Earth," the lead agent stated coldly. "Your presence has been flagged. You and your kin are coming with us."

Inside the DPO Headquarters

The DPO headquarters was a massive spire of floating stones. Inside, the family sat nervously before the Grand Overseer, a man with a long white beard and eyes that had seen too many centuries.

"We exist to ensure that those with 'Overpowered' traits do not destroy our world," the Overseer explained, his voice echoing. "Many Otherworlders turn to the dark path. We are here to ensure you walk the path of peace."

He looked at his parchment. "Names and ages, please. For the records."

Seo-jun stood tall, shielding his family. "I am Seo-jun, 34. My wife, Seo-ah, 32. My daughter Seo-yun is 7, and my son Seo-jin is 9." (In this world, their physical bodies had de-aged during the transition).

The Overseer nodded, then turned his gaze to the young man sitting silently in the corner. Heixin looked down at his boots, his silver hair falling over his eyes.

"And you? The quiet one?"

Heixin didn't speak. He seemed lost in a trance. Seo-ah stepped in quickly, smiling warmly. "He's a bit shy, sir. He doesn't talk much."

"His name is Heixin," Seo-jun added.

The Hidden Truth

As the Overseer stared at Heixin, he chuckled. "He looks so innocent. Like a boy who wouldn't hurt a fly."

But beneath Heixin's calm exterior, memories flared like a dying star.

[Flashback: 500 Years Ago]

Heixin stood atop a mountain of corpses—the Demon Lord's elite army. Beside him stood a girl with golden hair. "We'll never be apart, Heixin," she whispered, clutching his hand. "Once this war is over, we'll start a family. Just us."

Heixin had smiled then. But the war never truly ended. With a single, reality-tearing Slash, he had decapitated the Demon Lord. The backlash of that divine strike had frozen his heart and his age. He became Immortal—the "Zero Point" of all magic.

The Overseer broke the silence. "Well, since you all seem harmless, especially these three 'cute children,'" he gestured to the kids and Heixin, "I have a proposal. Seo-jun, Seo-ah... work for the Organization. In exchange, we provide protection and a future for your children."

The Overseer didn't realize that the "innocent boy" he just called a child was the very person who had saved this world before the DPO was even a dream—and he was the only reason this family survived the accident on Earth.

Heixin looked up, his eyes briefly flashing a deep, ancient gold. He would play along. For now, he finally had the family he was promised centuries ago.
