The carriage went along the main road, hooves clopping against the stone ground. Feyra was stunned seeing all the people waving at them.
"Governor Huo Cheng! I hope the journey went well!"
"Governor Huo Cheng! We're glad you returned safely."
The people bowed, lining the street. They held flower baskets or vegetables in their hands. Some even carried wood on their shoulders, showing that they were currently working.
"You sure get a lot of attention," Shiba said, looking out of the window to the right. The women lining the street there saw his face, going crazy over his good looks.
"Look at him! He isn't from the Empire and so handsome."
"I think I'm going to swoon. Why is it so hot here?"
"How handsome! I wish the men around me were like him."
Shiba only chuckled slightly, turning his head to Feyra. She was almost bursting out into laughter at the comments Shiba got.
