Chapter 25 - Chapter Twenty-Five: Coexistence of Two Realms and the Everlasting Legend

Three years after the Void Devourer was sealed, the fusion of the two realms had entered an entirely new stage.

In the Eternal Day City of Eros, the once gray and desolate skies had long since cleared. The smokestacks of the steam factories now emitted a faint purple mist, infused with the aroma of herbs and plants— a product of the fusion of the Elves' purification magic and human waste treatment technology. In the streets, steam carriages and Elven vine-cable cars traveled side by side, while the rhythmic sounds of Dwarven blacksmiths blended harmoniously with the gentle music from human cafes, creating the most delightful melody of the city.

On the edge of the forests of Aurora, strange yet charming Magitech steam towns had begun to rise. Human engineers taught the Elves how to use Starcore energy to power irrigation systems, transforming barren lands into fertile fields full of grain; the Elves, in turn, imparted their ability to sense nature, allowing machines to run in greater harmony with the rhythms of the earth. Even the volcanoes, once deemed forbidden, had been transformed into a Starcore energy research center, where Kai and Linor served as honorary consultants.

One day, a crowd gathered in the plaza of the research center. Representatives from both realms had come together for the unveiling of a new statue. Made of meteoric iron and the wood of the Sacred Tree, the statue depicted three figures—Kai holding the meteorite wrench, Linor wielding her enchanted longsword, and Ironhammer with his massive forge hammer, all standing side by side, gazing steadfastly into the distance.

"They are the guardians of the two realms, the creators of peace," the voice of the Elven Grand Elder echoed across the plaza. "It was they who returned the power of the Starcore to its true purpose as a protector; it was they who made magic and technology shake hands in harmony."

The crowd erupted into warm applause. Tears shimmered in the eyes of those who had lived through the wars. They would never forget that these three figures had stood tall in their darkest hour, using their flesh and blood to protect the sky of the two realms.

After the unveiling ceremony, Kai and Linor, riding the Guardian Dragon, traveled to the farthest north, to the icy plains. Much of the snow had already melted, revealing a vibrant tundra. Ironhammer's tomb lay atop the tundra, with an inscription carved into the stone: "Here lies a great Dwarf, who spent his life guarding the peace of the two realms."

Kai placed a bundle of Everlife flowers, grown through magic, at the foot of the tombstone and whispered softly, "Old friend, you see? The world now is just as beautiful as you imagined."

Linor nestled close to Kai, watching as herds of reindeer trotted across the tundra. A tender smile graced her lips. "Ironhammer can see it. He's always been here."

The Guardian Dragon let out a deep, rumbling roar, nudging Kai's hand with its head. Its golden scales shimmered in the sunlight. For these years, it had watched over the borders of the two realms, a living witness to peace.

Leaving the frozen plains, the two visited the Sacred Tree of the Elves. The tree had grown even more magnificent, its canopy reaching high into the sky. Beneath it, a teleportation array connected the farthest corners of both realms. Children played in the shade of the tree, some with pointed ears, others wearing steam-powered boots, laughing and chasing one another.

"Do you think our story will be passed down?" Linor asked softly.

Kai took her hand, his gaze resting on the tree's rings, which chronicled both the history of the two realms and their own legendary tale. "It will," he said, his voice tender yet firm. "As long as peace between the realms endures, our story will never be forgotten."

As the sun set, its golden rays bathed the lands of both realms. The hum of magitech steam engines, the songs of the Elves, the laughter of the Dwarves, and the voices of humans blended into an eternal anthem of peace.

Kai and Linor's figures slowly faded into the shadow of the Sacred Tree. But their legend, like the light of the Starcore, would forever shine in the skies of the two realms, guiding future generations and guarding this hard-earned home.
