The two of them split it down the middle, half for each.
"Mister, one order of Fried noodles!"
They each had half a portion.
"Mister, one order of Grilled octopus."
"Let's get two of these."
"Eh? Didn't we say we'd get one and share it?"
"How are we supposed to share something on a skewer? The others could at least be divided, but this one is impossible."
"Just like when we had Takoyaki earlier—you eat half, then I eat the other half."

The half-eaten Grilled octopus immediately caught Naruto's full attention. Ignoring the skewer in his own hand, he snatched the one Kano had left over and wolfed it down, terrified she might change her mind.
"Alright, you got lucky this time. Stop smirking and find a drink stall quickly; I'm dying from the spice."
Kano's cute expression as she stuck her tongue out from the heat made Naruto's heart skip a beat again. Then he snapped to his senses, eyes wide as he scanned the surroundings, wishing he could activate the Byakugan right then and there.
Finally spotting a beverage shop, Naruto grabbed Kano's hand and ran over.
"Mister, we'll take one... uh, two cups of juice!"
Remembering what Kano-chan said earlier, Naruto felt he shouldn't be too greedy, or Kano-chan might start to dislike him.
"What flavors?"
"I want orange. What flavor do you want, Kano-chan?"
"I'll have strawberry."
Soon, the two juices were prepared. Kano took hers and took a huge gulp; the cold, sweet sensation instantly relieved the spiciness in her mouth.
It felt wonderful.
"Kano-chan, do you want to eat anything else?"
"Hmm... I'm full, nothing else for me. How about you?"
"I'm full too."
Kano simply had a small appetite, while Naruto was just following her lead.
"Then let's find some fun stalls to play at for a bit, and maybe have some dessert while we walk."
"Oh! Let's go play that Ring toss game over there!"
"Sure."
On a patch of open ground, prizes of all sizes were laid out—the further away the prize, the higher its value. You could buy rings from the owner; whatever you hooked, you could take home.
"Is there anything you want? I can win it for you."
"Then let's go for that fox plushie."
Kano pointed to a cute doll that was quite far away, and Naruto locked onto the target.
"Boss, one ring, please."
"Coming right up! Looks like the young man is confident in his skills. If you hook it, you take it. Go ahead and pick your target."
"Heh heh, watch me. I'll definitely get it in one shot!"
Naruto threw it confidently. The ring traced a parabola in the air, hit the ground, and rolled away, hooking nothing.
"It's too light! The feel is completely different from a shuriken! Don't worry, Kano-chan, I'll definitely get it next time!"
"Mister, one more!"
"That one didn't count, I didn't have the feel for it yet. Mister, three more."
"There was wind that time! Now there's no wind! So close! Mister, three more!"
"Naruto, don't get carried away. Let's just throw these three and stop. It's okay if you don't hit anything."
