A glow engulfed the space, the chime of the system vanished without sound, and the cheers, arguments, and bickering of the dead mortals ceased. Everything was replaced with nothing.
The glow brightened and moved the mortals from where they were. It was like a vacuum; it sucked them in like a black hole, it tore their souls apart, the body and the mind of the mortals, condensing them into pure essence; easy to Transmigrate, easy to reincarnate.
The process was smooth, like drinking water without choking, without sustaining any injuries, and coming out unscathed from a 1 v 1000 match.
Veldra stood within a space of trees and grass, where nature flourished with meticulous care. Birds wheeled through the sky, circling the brilliant light that poured down upon the forest-the sun, dazzling, hot, and warm. Animals of every kind filled the land: monkeys swinging between the branches of brown-barked trees, sloths hiding from the sun's glare, and cats, rats, and countless other creatures moving through the undergrowth.
"Chapter 1 has ended," Veldra muttered, his voice almost swallowed by the whispering breeze of the forest. He walked slowly, stepping over soft moss and fallen leaves that crunched faintly beneath his feet. "It ended the exact moment I stepped into this empty world. But it doesn't seem like this world will pause for me. Maybe… maybe I am meant to explore it, to live it, or even write my second chapter with my own life," he whispered to himself, doubt threading his words as he tried to make sense of the impossible.
His eyes scanned the surroundings, alert to every sound and movement. "It doesn't seem like the others are here… no humans, no two-legged creatures thriving in this forest," he muttered, tension tightening his chest as he realised how alone he truly was.
Suddenly, a graceful chime echoed through the forest. It carried the same tone as the system that had appeared to the dead mortals earlier, but now it resonated differently; louder, clearer, perfectly attuned to the natural rhythm of the forest, weaving through the trees and rustling leaves like a living melody.

Veldra studied his status window carefully, examining every inch of his system functions, his stats, and his attributes.
Satisfied, he dismissed the window and continued venturing deeper into the forest.
He wandered far and wide, moving through groves and clearings, occasionally glancing at his quest log in case new objectives appeared. But nothing came up. Silence met every check.
Minutes seemed to pass before he spotted something unusual: a structure that did not belong to the wild. A house. Simple, modern, reminiscent of those found on Earth.
Judging by its size, it resembled a small apartment. Its wide frame was topped with a brown-bricked roof, sturdy and unassuming, as if it had been plucked from some familiar neighbourhood and placed here, in the heart of the forest.
Two square windows sat precisely two doors apart, perfectly aligned in symmetry. Between them, a single door rested firmly on the ground, centred and inviting, yet strangely out of place in the untamed surroundings.
Then, without warning, another chime rang through the forest, clear and melodious, echoing between the trees and stirring the leaves as if the world itself had responded to its call.

Veldra let out a sigh of relief as his eyes fell upon the quest. "Finally… a quest," he muttered under his breath.
He approached the house, the worn brown door looming before him. With a push, it groaned and creaked, the sound echoing like a warning through the silent air.
Stepping inside, Veldra was immediately swallowed by darkness. Shadows clung to every corner of the gloomy interior, and the faint scent of dust and aged wood filled his nostrils. He moved slowly, his footsteps muted against the creaking floorboards, eyes tracing the shapes of the dust-covered furniture, cobwebbed shelves, and the faint glimmer of sunlight that managed to pierce through the grime-streaked windows. The house seemed alive in its silence, whispering stories of years long past, and Veldra could feel its history pressing against him with each cautious step.
His eyes shifted toward the brown, cracked desk. At first glance, it appeared ordinary, just a simple desk and chair, but something about it tugged at his senses, subtle yet insistent, like a whisper at the edge of perception.
Veldra approached cautiously, hands hovering before settling on the wood. The surface was rough, worn, familiar-but also wrong, as if it remembered more than it should, as if it had witnessed events that had yet to occur. His fingers traced the cracks, feeling the grain, trying to understand why his instincts screamed at him.
Then, without warning, a translucent window shimmered into view before his eyes, suspended in the air like a fragment of light made tangible.

"Claim dominion? How am I supposed do that?" Veldra muttered.
Then another window appeared.
== <<[|Would you like to claim dominion over the forest?|]>> ==
== <<[|Yes | No|]>> ==
Veldra tapped Yes without hesitation.
The room dissolved around him, unnaturally, as if solid matter itself had lost its will; like metal melting into liquid, yet moving with impossible precision.
Then, as suddenly as it had unravelled, the room reformed. The dark, gloomy space of before was gone, replaced by something that could only belong to a god.
The Candle that burnt faint light changed into Golden lanterns that illuminated the chamber with a soft, divine radiance. They rested upon the newly formed Desk, its light neither solid nor abstract. The glow spiralled and overlapped like liquid glitches, formless yet deliberate, etched into one another in silent motion.
At the centre of the desk lay a single book. Its pages were blank. A small pen rested upon it, untouched.
The floor was entirely tiled in Solarium, a sun-forged divine alloy born from countless civilisations and reforged through the remnants of ancient wars. Each tile carried the embodiment of the sun itself.
Chandeliers hung high above, flooding the room with brilliant light that was neither blinding nor harsh. The brightness felt natural, almost comforting. One could not help but feel as though they had stepped into something resembling heaven.
The cobwebs vanished, replaced with neatly trimmed white walls of glory. ethereal and mesmerising.
The bed was vast. Wide. Covered in diamonds and silver, ethereal in design yet undeniably inviting. A soft mattress lay beneath an enormous blanket, so large that one could disappear within it entirely.
Nearby, a mirror shimmered with divine brilliance. Veldra turned his gaze towards the mirror and stared at his reflection.
He was undeniably beautiful, handsome, pretty-whatever you call it. His hair was pure black, blacker than darkness, blacker than the void itself. It was an absence itself. His hair flowed majestically like a calm river, flowing past his shoulders, ending at his back.
His eyes were void black, etched with a formless ring of purple within the pupil. To look into them was to lose oneself, thought unravelling, consciousness slipping, awareness sinking into the void. It felt like being drawn into a black hole, like being devoured by a colossal beast, an insurmountable wall from which there was no escape.
His lips were pink, his nose was slim and model-fashioned. His jawline became sharper than any two-edged sword. And his face became so defined that a god or a divine could not help but feel jealous.
He was already six-foot-nine inches, taller than he had been in his past life. He was much more bulky, leaner, stronger, prettier, and handsomer than he was.
A robe settled on him, a black but purplish formless robe settled upon, almost hugging him, precisely covering every inch of his body. The robe looked too big for him, trailing on the Solarium floor.
He turned his face from the mirror and sat on his god-forged bed.
As he settled into his new House, a chime echoed.

Objective: Find a living one

Veldra lazily got up from his bed, walked barefoot on the Solarium, and opened the door. Greeting the forest with a smile on his face.
