Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: Celestial Dragons? It’s not like I haven’t killed them before.

The Tomorrow returned to Windmill Village.

After Makino packed up her things, the tavern officially closed.

With Luffy in a state of agitation, the Tomorrow sailed along the inland river towards the capital of Goa Kingdom, located in the center of the island.

They needed to resupply.

They also needed to gather intelligence: specifically, the locations of potential crew members in the East Blue who could be recruited, such as Kuina.

Additionally, after months of sailing the high seas with only a handful of stops on land, the women were inevitably tired and needed a few days to rest.

Even if the Marines and the World Government knew that the Sun and Moon Pirates were here, it would take them a long journey to arrive and encircle them, so it wasn't possible in the short term.

The bustling inland port was filled with numerous ships, and people bustled along the shore; a colossal city appeared before everyone's eyes.

"Koala, Makino, you two follow me after we disembark; everyone else is free to move around," Kevin said, looking at the two women on the ship who were the only ones without combat strength.

He would personally protect them.

"I want to go with Kevin too," Hancock pleaded, shaking Kevin's arm.

The final outcome was that everyone acted together and went ashore.

They walked along the bustling street.

"Goa Kingdom, are the rules really that strict?" Gion asked, looking around at her surroundings, puzzled.

It was very clean.

So clean it was almost abnormal.

If there was even a tiny bit of dirt on the ground, someone would immediately get down and meticulously wipe it with a towel.

On both sides of the street, there weren't even street vendors.

Everyone held towels and clean water, meticulously wiping their homes until they were spotless.

This made even the cleanliness-loving women among them cautious, afraid of dirtying the street.

"Is there a major event happening?" Hancock guessed.

"No," Kevin shook his head. "If it were a grand ceremony, everyone should be smiling and looking forward to it. But everyone looks miserable, even the well-dressed rich people."

Gion quickly walked over to the side and asked an old woman.

"A Celestial Dragon is coming."

The mystery was revealed.

A Celestial Dragon was coming.

Facing the World Nobles, not to mention the wealthy, even the King of Goa Kingdom had to treat them with extreme caution, fearing offense.

Hancock and her two sisters' eyes suddenly turned cold.

Those scumbags.

Because Kevin had killed a Celestial Dragon in Mary Geoise right in front of them, and after following Kevin, Hancock and the others no longer feared the Celestial Dragons as they did in the original story.

"A bunch of good-for-nothing trash; wherever they go, they bring immense harm to the common people."

They hadn't even arrived yet, and these common people were already overwhelmed.

Once they arrived, no one knew what evil deeds the mentally unstable Celestial Dragons would commit.

"Alas, Deguraro Saint comes once every three years. This time, who knows how many more people will starve to death."

Welcoming the Celestial Dragons was costly and life-threatening.

Ultimately, it was the lower classes who bore the brunt, with many starving to death.

The rich were also troubled: "My daughter is an adult and very beautiful. What can I do?"

"I wanted to secretly send her away, but the army has already blockaded the port; only entry is allowed, no exit. If the Kingdom's army discovers it, the whole family will be executed."

"Every time we welcome Deguraro Saint, all the women in the city have to kneel on the streets. If they are taken a fancy to, they will be forcibly taken away. What can we do?"

A sense of dread enveloped Goa Kingdom.

"A few years ago, even the King's concubine was taken away. We can only pray that our daughters and wives are not chosen."

Facing the Celestial Dragons, they had no other choice but to endure.

They only dared to complain a few words when no one was around, before the Celestial Dragons arrived.

They were terrified of being overheard.

The streets were full of patrolling soldiers.

Anyone who dared to speak disrespectfully of the Celestial Dragons would be immediately arrested.

....

Koala's small body trembled uncontrollably.

She gripped Kevin's large hand tightly.

Makino looked flustered: "What should we do? The Celestial Dragons are coming. Let's leave quickly."

The reputation of the Celestial Dragons was infamous.

Everyone knew.

Everyone was aware.

Yet, even the Marines and the World Government, though angry, dared not show it in front of the Celestial Dragons.

They could only kneel humbly.

"Makino, there's no need to be afraid. Any power in the sea, including the Sea Emperors, might be wary of the Celestial Dragons, but that definitely doesn't include us," Gion comforted the frightened Makino.

"???"

Makino blinked her bewildered eyes.

"Don't forget what our Captain has done," Gion and Hancock said, their proud lips curving upwards.

Makino then realized.

That's right.

Kevin had personally invaded Mary Geoise and rescued all the Celestial Dragon slaves.

Makino's eyes shimmered, and she gazed at Kevin with adoring eyes.

But soon, her willow-like brows furrowed again.

Rescuing slaves only counts as offending the Celestial Dragons, not truly dealing with them, right?

"Since the Celestial Dragons are coming, then we'll wait here for ten days," Kevin decided.

Gion and Hancock stared at Kevin, understanding what he was about to do.

"Kevin, are you going to help everyone? Are you going to rescue the slaves again?" Makino was both worried and excited.

It was something she had never dared to imagine before.

"No, I'm going to kill the Celestial Dragons."

Makino's eyes widened in shock, and she froze in place.

Her lips trembled, and she stammered, "Kill… kill… Celestial Dragons?!!!"

Everyone had had such a thought, even an impulse.

But no one dared to do it.

"It's not like I haven't killed them before."

"Ah? Kevin, you've killed Celestial Dragons before?" Makino was astonished.

The newspapers didn't mention it!

More than one Celestial Dragon was killed by Kevin in Mary Geoise.

However, the World Government had suppressed the news, unwilling for the news of the world nobles being killed to spread, as it would be a major blow to the Celestial Dragons' and God's prestige, which had been established for hundreds of years.

Even the Marines didn't know.

"If I kill a Celestial Dragon, how much will my achievement points increase?"

Kevin was very curious.

After the battle with Red Hair, his achievement points were now over 160,000.

He was very close to 200,000 achievement points.

Kevin hoped to reach 200,000 achievement points before re-entering the Grand Line, so that his crew members would each have a resurrection reward once a month.

With resurrection,

He could take bigger strides.
