One such activity might be the construction of a bridge, with a ten-day deadline and specific requirements regarding materials, stability, and resistance. If the task was completed properly and within the allotted time, the warrior responsible would receive five hundred points.
If she failed to finish it in time, however, the task would return to the central office and be made available for someone else to claim. Another warrior could then take over the unfinished work and complete it for a reduced reward, probably around one hundred points.
This created a powerful incentive to finish assignments before their deadlines. After all, nobody wanted to waste days of work only to lose the reward.
