The day of the group date finally arrived, and Shin knew he had to prepare properly.
He wanted to impress Yumemi's friends. If they liked him, it would naturally make her like him more, too.
But he needed to do all of that while looking as much like an otaku loser as possible.
Yumemi's entire character arc revolved around hiding her true self, locking it away, and creating a new persona just to be popular.
So, if he could show up, act like a complete geek, and still be accepted, it would prove her wrong. Destroying her stupid world was the most important step to conquer her.
He picked an oversized T-shirt with Luffy in Gear Five printed on it. At first, he had considered one with a busty anime girl, but even he thought that might be too much.
He also packed a bag. Inside were a few tabletop games, a manga volume, and several anime pins clipped along the sides.
That said, he wasn't stupid.
