Chapter 4 - Talent

Class, Skill, and Servant, these were the stats that provided information which left Cloud confused. The rest he had already been tutored on, as it was common knowledge throughout the world.

Order represented the level of evolution an awakened individual had reached. It was the greatest distinction of power, clearly showing where one stood in the world's food chain.

As for Mana Grade, it represented the quality of mana within an awakened and was divided into Green, Dark Green, Blue, Purple, Red, and Golden, Green being the lowest quality and Golden being the highest. One's mana grade strongly determined how far they could evolve in Order, and if the foundation was faulty, it could forever trap them at a certain level of evolution.

Absent from Class, which gave one a specialty, Talent decided one's aptitude. It helped one excel in a field and could range from water affinity to poison resistance.

Talent, Cloud understood, but he found his rather unusual, despite the system explaining it, its very possibility went against what was considered law.

[Universal Comprehension: Every method in existence is available to you. You have a 5% boost when comprehending]

"Every method in existence" was unreasonable, when it was general knowledge that many skills and techniques were exclusive to certain classes.

Cloud's dilemma over his talent made him turn back to his class, but no matter what he tried in his mind, he found himself unable to retrieve any detailed information on it. The screen was unresponsive, refusing to elaborate further.

It was at that moment that Dina arrived.

Answering the woman's greetings, Cloud asked if she was okay, and from there ignored the worried gazes around him, instead focusing on a thought her appearance had just triggered.

Cloud was surprised to see that, as he had suspected Dina was the person registered on his screen as a Servant, but he had never imagined her vow of loyalty ran so deep.

Looking at her class screen, peering into information that was most likely her most private secret, the first thing that caught Cloud's eye was her talent.

"200% damage boost."

It made Cloud gulp and seriously pity her enemies. One thing was clear, Dina's offensive power was devastating, and he shuddered when thinking about what her talent would evolve into once she climbed to the next Order.

The sheer number of skills caught Cloud's attention, his gaze lingering on her Legendary skill for several seconds longer than the rest.

Dina was a genius. That was a fact he had known ever since her awakening four years ago.

He hadn't been told what her class was, but what his mother had whispered to him back then was that, along with her class, Dina had awakened an Epic-grade skill. He hadn't even been aware her class was SSS.

Here, the King of Leonasia was celebrating his son's S-rank class, while a girl from a village he openly despised possessed blessings that surpassed his son's by several magnitudes.

Either Mother lied to me… or—

Lacking information, Cloud fought the urge to turn and glance at Dina. Instead, he focused on studying his own irregularities, such as the fact that his class had no grading beside it.

All classes were graded from E to the mythical SSS, which clearly existed, so where did his fall.

Another issue was that classes in the world were divided into five major categories: Mage, Warrior, Priest, Summoner, and Artificer. Other classes were considered subclasses, which were generally stronger, but where exactly did Traveler fit into that structure?

Cloud couldn't carelessly label his class, especially since it came with two innate skills that were, on their own, deeply troubling.

Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, these were the known skill grades in existence. So what, exactly, was a Primordial skill?

[Realm Breaker: Have all the realms in the universe at your disposal.

100 C-rank cores required to unlock a beginner realm]

[Kill Points: Kill your enemies to earn points which can be used to level up and evolve your skills.

KP: 0]

For something with a grade he was certain should not even be allowed to exist, Realm Breaker's description was surprisingly lacklustre.

Kill Points, on the other hand, was far easier to understand. He grasped the absurd advantage it offered almost immediately and could already picture himself putting it to use.

"I don't have any combat skills though…"

The realisation sent Cloud reeling, his thoughts spiralling as he immediately began planning his next move, anxious to test the skill.
