"Yo." Alina raised her palm in a casual greeting. "You are finally here."
Killian hummed as he took a seat on a chair on the wide balcony.
"You sure are enjoying yourself."
"Why wouldn't I?" she shrugged, relaxing into the rattan chair with a cup of freshly squeezed juice. "This is heaven."
Killian had to admit that was true. This was the place where he had found his peace again.
"What did you want to talk about?"
"About Sev, duh," she said, rolling her eyes. "I met some people who were eager to 'know her better.' You understand what I mean, right?"
Killian's eyes instantly narrowed.
Hostility spilled out of him, danger lurking in the air, ready to charge ahead and trample on the enemy.
Alina calmly took a sip of her juice before sighing in delight.
Was she truly not afraid of Killian?
Of course not. She just knew that he wouldn't dare to lose control when Severine was nearby.
