"Mr. King," Derik nearly stuttered as he greeted the tall figure.
The coercion from the Awakener forced him to bow his head. Derik knew Killian Rhett King wasn't trying to scare him.
This was the lingering remnant of his earlier outburst.
As for what exactly the young lord had done, Derik had no clue, nor the desire to know.
"Mr. Xing," Killian greeted him with the same indifference as a stranger.
Just from the greeting, no one could tell that these two people had once played together.
Although Killian had only been five or six—an age when most children forgot easily—Derik recalled that naughty boy very vividly.
They had met through their parents' friendship. Then they parted ways after a few months, never to meet again.
Who would have thought they would come face-to-face like this?
When Derik realized the young lord was here regarding the sales of his company, he was left stunned once again.
