Chapter 7 - Marriage

It's been 5 days since I am here. And today is the day I get to marry. Although there are many mysteries, but in front of my future wife I couldn't find the way to escape.

The grand hall is adorned with flowers and banners, the air thick with the scent of incense and roasting meats. Candice stands at the altar, a vision in a gown of shimmering gold that hugs her curves. Her hair is piled high, adorned with jewels that catch the light from the hundreds of candles.

As I approach, her eyes lock onto mine, shining with a mix of nervousness and excitement. The lady priest drones on about duty and honor, but Candice seems to hear none of it. Her focus is solely on me.

When it comes time to exchange vows, her voice is clear and strong. "I, Candice, Queen of this realm, take you as my husband and king." She slips a heavy gold ring onto my finger. "I promise to love and cherish you, to stand by your side in all things."

Her hands tremble slightly as she takes mine.

After the ceremony, the celebration begins. Music fills the air, and the great hall echoes with laughter and cheers. Candice stays close to my side, her hand resting possessively on my arm.

On the other hand, I was also feeling something else. In the past 5 days I really didn't see any other men. Today confirm it too. Everyone who came was ladies.

As the night wears on, she leans in to whisper in my ear. "Soon," she murmurs, her breath warm against my skin. "Soon we will be alone."

That sentence alone sent shiver down my spine. Although I was stopping myself, but I was also attracted to her. Yeah I want her for myself. I wonder how many babies can she get from me?

Finally, the guests begin to disperse. Candice leads me towards the royal chambers, her steps quickening with anticipation. Once inside, she closes the heavy wooden door and turns to me, her eyes dark with desire.

"At last," she breathes, reaching for the ties of her gown. "My husband." The gold fabric slides from her shoulders, pooling at her feet to reveal her bare skin beneath. "Now I can show you how much I want you."

I ask the question that was in my mind. "I wonder how many babies can she get from me?"

Candice laughs softly, a throaty sound that sends a shiver of anticipation down my spine. "As many as you can give me," she replies, stepping closer. Her hands go to the fastenings of your tunic, deftly undoing them. "The more children we have, the greater our chances of securing the future."

Her fingers trace the lines of my chest as she pushes the fabric aside. "And I intend to be very thorough in my efforts." Candice leans in, pressing a kiss to my collarbone. "Tonight is just the beginning."

She guides me towards the large bed, her body warm and soft against mine. As I sit on the edge, Candice climbs onto my lap, straddling me. "Let's start with one," she whispers, her lips brushing against mine. "A strong son who will grow up to be a great king." Her hips begin to move slowly against mine, building a delicious friction.

But then suddenly smoke start to came in the room. The smoke thickens rapidly, stinging my eyes and burning my throat. Candice's body goes limp in my arms, her head lolling back as she loses consciousness. I try to call out, to move, but a searing pain erupts in my chest.

Looking down, I see a pale hand protruding from my torso, coated in blood. A wave of dizziness washes over me, and the room spins violently. My vision blurs at the edges as I struggle to stay upright.

With the last of my strength, I lower Candice gently to the floor before collapsing beside her. The world fades into darkness as a final thought echoes through my mind: "Is this really happening?"

The smoke clears as quickly as it came, leaving behind an eerie silence. Two figures emerge from the shadows—an old woman with piercing eyes and a tall man in dark robes. They stand over you and Candice's prone forms, their expressions unreadable.

"A man?" Is all that I thought before dying?

The old woman, the magician, kneels beside me. Her eyes, filled with a strange mix of sorrow and triumph, meet mine. "Yes," she whispers. "A man." Her hand reaches out, touching my cheek gently. "You were not meant to be here."

The man in the dark robes laughs coldly. "Foolish girl," he sneers, looking down at Candice's unconscious form. "Did you really think your little ritual could defy the gods' will?" He turns his attention to me, his voice dripping with contempt. "And you... a pathetic pawn from another world."

The magician ignores her husband's words, focusing on me. "I am sorry," she murmurs. "But he was right. Men were never meant to return to this world." Her fingers trace the wound on my chest, and a strange warmth spreads from her touch.

"It's too late for you," she says softly.

Yeah! It was. I died.

Or it felt like I died. All I saw was darkness. But in the middle of darkness, stars start to appear. They made a symbol on sky. Infinity.

Slowly that also came to alive. A huge snake. The snake slowly became a human.
