[3rd POV]
Claire slowly ripped open her gift, a blink leaving her as she looked it over. It was a large, inconspicuous box so it was hard to tell what the hell it was. But upon seeing the small smile and nod from Billie, she decided to rip open the box, as she looked inside.
Looking inside, she blinked before her eyes widened.
"You didn't!" Claire said, a bright smile forming on her face as Billie chuckled.
"I did. Haley told me you've been trying to find them forever, so I figured I'd get you the whole set" Billie replied, as Claire pulled out...a new juicer, blender, and coffee maker?
It was a big box.
"...You know, I was expecting something crazier, but that does fit" Mitchell said, realizing that this was exactly something that Claire would get excited over.
"Mitchell, these aren't just normal kitchen appliances! They're top of the line, like, really really top of the line. The coffee maker alone is like two grand!" Claire replied with a bright smile on her face, as she moved and gave Billie a hug, which she laughed and returned.
"We split that gift, by the way. I got the blender and juicer, while Billie got the coffee maker and the mixer" Haley said, as she got a big hug from her mother, one wrapped around her waist as Claire looked over the boxes, the back at least. She wanted to see everything that they were capable of.
And after reading through it, she found that they were even better than she had thought.
While Claire was gleefully looking over her new gifts that she was absolutely going to be using to the fullest, it was time for Cam and Mitchell to start opening their gifts. They had been told to open them at the same time, since some of them overlapped with one another.
Their gifts came in the form of two small boxes, as well as two envelopes each.
They started with the small boxes, which they both opened. A gasp left Cam as he looked inside. It was a gorgeous pair of formal shoes, with Mitchell having his own pair. On top of that, there was a cowboy like belt buckle inside of Cam's box, while Mitchell had a more luxurious looking one.
They were both the prices, give or take.
Inside the boxes, there was also two pair of shirts and pants that looked like they were right out of a club, which only made them confused. Cam had gasped at the belt buckle and shoes, but now they were lost.
"It'll make sense here in a minute" Billie said, as she told them to open the right envelope first.
Ripping them open, they flipped it open and began to read through it, their jaws slowly dropping more and more as they read.
"What is it?" Alex asked, noticing the expression on their face. Both of them having shocked looks on their faces. For Cam that was not really saying too much, but Mitchell reacting in that way?
That was not normal for him.
"A-A 5 year pass to all broadway shows at the Pantages theatre! Not only that, but a ticket to see Wicked in New York!" Cam exclaimed with wide eyes, glee on his face as he was ready to hug Billie.
"Open the next one" Billie said, a smirk on her face as he and Mitchell looked at each other, before grabbing the second envelope, and ripped it open. Flipping the paper open, they both began to read, and their jaws dropped.
"You didn't!"
"I did. I had to make a few calls to get them, but she was pretty nice about it" Billie replied with a smirk, as Cam and Mitchell both got to their feet and gave Billie a large hug that she laughed at.
"What'd she get you?" Gloria asked, smiling slightly as she saw their faces.
"She got us VIP tickets to every show that Lady Gaga is having next year!" Mitchell exclaimed, cheering in excitement. Lady Gaga was their favorite artist that the two of them liked. While Cam's favorite artist outside of that was actually Billie (much to his own embarrassment), and Mitchell loved Haley's music.
She was one of the few "Pop Artists" that he loved, alongside Lady Gaga of course.
"Whoa, you really are splurging on everyone, aren't you?" Alex asked, still very happy with her gifts. It was just showing that Billie had invested a lot of money into their gifts.
"Yeah well, it's my first Christmas with all of you, so I figured I might as well spoil all of you" Billie replied with a smile, as soon it was Manny's turn.
He had let out the girliest squeal she had ever heard, and hugged her tightly upon getting his gifts of real signed poems from some famous poets he loved, as well as some tickets to a few plays that he loved.
Phil had reacted similarly upon getting his gift, and looked like he was going to cry when he had been given the gift that was actually used by Houdini at one point.
Then she had given the entire family their watches, which had also been given special engravings on the back. With the initial for their names. They had all thanked her for that, before it was eventually Haley's turn.
Haley had been given a lot of gifts from her family, before it was Billie's gifts that she had opened. She had nearly cried at what she had been given, with her being given several special pieces of jewelry, and some other stuff.
Eventually it was Billie's turn.
She had opened their gifts with laughs and smiles. As from Claire and Phil she had been given a ticket to a magic show (that Phil said he'd be going to as well), as well as a book of their family recipes that had been passed down to Claire.
Mitchell, Cam and Lily had gotten her a guitar that was actually really good. She had been shocked that they managed to get it, as it was NOT a cheap one. But it turns out that Cam's cousin knew a guy.
Jay, Gloria and Manny had gotten her an assortment of things. Like a free set of closets for their house whenever they eventually got one, Gloria had given her some of her family recipes as well as some old vinyls of various Colombian artists, and Manny had given her a few poems.
Alex had even gotten her a gift, which had been a book about the science behind music, and Billie had to admit that she was interested in learning more about it.
But when it came to Haley...she had spoiled her even more. Various items she had been hoping to get for her collection, a rare watch she was looking to find, and some other stuff that she adored.
But it was the final gift that was hidden behind the tree, that made Billie tear up. As she looked down at it.
It was a small heart shaped locket, and inside of it was a picture of her grandmama, and on the other side was a portrait of her and a younger Billie. Both of them were masterfully done, and Billie had to fight the urge to cry as she held it close.
Disregarding the family around them, she leaned forward and gave Haley a soft loving kiss, as Haley squeaked, blushing as they heard several Eww's, and several "aww's".
"Thank you for this, baby" Billie said with a smile, as she put it on, and leaned back. Chuckling at the way Alex, Luke and Lily were all cringing at what they just saw. While the adults were tearing up slightly at her interaction.
Manny was sniffling, wiping his eyes clear of what looked to be a handkerchief, which she had no idea where the hell he got that from.
She decided it was best not to even think about it.
And soon, things began to calm down, as it was lunch time. And as Billie was whipping up a lunch for the family, she had only one thought on her mind.
'This has been a great Christmas!'
