[3rd POV]
Hearing her daughters demand, Claire turned to Billie, silently gazing at her for a few moments, before sighing.
"I'm sorry, Billie. For treating you like you were doing something wrong. When all you were doing was hanging out with my daughter, like a girlfriend would. And I can't blame you if you don't forgive me. I-I just hope that I didn't ruin what you and Haley have" Claire said, looking at her with truly apologetic eyes.
Billie just smiled softly in response.
"I forgive you, Claire. I just hope next time you won't break into my apartment complex. It's hard to explain to security why an unknown woman that snuck into the building, shouldn't have the cops called on her" Billie responded, as Claire looked away in embarrassment.
"You broke into an apartment complex? Cool!" Luke exclaimed with a bright grin, wishing he was there to see it. His mom never did stuff like that.
"You own an apartment complex? How rich are you?" Alex asked in surprise. She knew that Billie was wealthy, thanks to her being the largest artist on the planet at the moment, but she didn't realize she was that wealthy.
"Honestly? I'm not entirely sure. And yeah, I own a lot of property around the country, and even a few places out in Europe and some down in South America. But most of them are apartment complexes that I let others handle, brings me passive income" Billie responded with a shrug, she was pretty sure she was worth somewhere in the hundred million dollar range, but she wasn't entirely certain.
She had never really looked into it that much. And only knew that she was rich enough that it did not matter, and that she could buy pretty much anything she wants without much of a problem.
Adding in the investments she's done in various companies was also going to net her a lot of money as well. And considering the companies that she has invested in are worth next to nothing at the moment, she would get a massive return. Ranging to literal billions with the biggest of the companies that she was investing in.
"That's..." "Ridiculous" Jay finished the words that Alex was saying, as he walked back into the room with Cam and Mitchell, staring at Billie like she was crazy. He had been a business owner for longer than she had been alive, and to hear that she had that much money was insane. And that she had made more than he had in his entire life within the past three years, was also insane.
Cause not just anybody could buy out entire apartment complexes and have workers running them. That was another level of wealth that even he - who was a millionaire - did not possess.
"Oh I know. But I look at it all every once in a while, it's just been a while since last time. And I've been investing and buying a lot over the past few months, so it's hard to really tell" Billie responded with a small smile, knowing that her words were utterly insane.
It just made her more confident in the decisions that she has been making over the past few months. That she had been making the right investments.
"So...how about some lunch?" Phil said with a bright smile, as the tense atmosphere began to dissolve.

Sitting around the dinner table, Billie was eating some of Claire's cooking. It was...not really the best, but she wouldn't be saying that out loud. And it wasn't bad enough to be inedible or anything, so she wasn't going to complain about it too much or anything.
She did hope that the woman eventually learned about it so she could get better at it. Otherwise she might have to be blunt to her.
"So, Billie, I've got to ask, what is it like, you know, being a huge superstar" Cam asked, looking at the teen that made some of his favorite pieces of music. And a teen that was now the biggest gay celebrity on the planet. Even her being gay wasn't entirely public just yet.
"It's fun. Mostly for the reactions online, and being able to show the world my artistic vision, the songs I write and create. But I do have to admit that some of the fans are...well, creepy. And I have a sinking feeling that the paparazzi is going to be a problem" Billie replied after thinking for a few moments.
The paparazzi was basically paid stalkers, paid to follow people around and give out information about them, personal information. Including where they live, who their friends are, who they are dating, literally everything.
The fact that it was even legal to be a paparazzi was insane to her, and she was fully prepared to demolish any of them should they try it on her. She had a lot of very skilled lawyers, and had more than enough money to obliterate them with.
She'd probably have to make a point a few times, to get the others to leave her alone, but she knew it'd be worth it in the end. She'd have to help Haley do the same, before that became a problem.
"Wait...are they going to be a problem for us? Since Haley is a superstar now too? Won't they follow her home and eventually find out about us?" Claire asked, a little worried as she looked at her daughter.
"No mom, you don't have to worry. Billie's got lawyers ready to crush any of them that try, and if it comes to it, I can just buy us a new house or something. Trust me, they won't be a problem for you guys. Billie and I have already talked about it a lot" Haley said, shaking her head at her moms worry.
She trusted Billie.
"You have lawyers?" Mitchell asked in interest.
"All celebrities do, it's a necessity. I have them mostly in order to deal with any bulls-bullcrap copyright issues that might come up, as well as to deal with anything involving my record label" Billie replied, stopping herself from cursing upon realizing that there were children present.
"Speaking of your record label, Haley is signed to it, right?" Cam asked, as Billie nodded.
"She is. And no, it's not because we're dating. But because my label has the best bonuses out of any of them, and gives the artists the most amount of freedom" Billie replied, remembering when she had signed Haley.
She had been very happy, and gave her a rather long make out session as a gift.
She enjoyed that very much.
"How come I've never seen you at school before? Aren't you the same age as Haley? You should be in highschool, right?" Alex asked, realizing she had never seen Billie before at school or anything like that.
"I graduated when I was 16, so it was never a problem. And I'm older, Alex, I'm 18. And before you say anything, I am not that much older than Haley, like a few months" Billie replied, glancing at Claire when she said the latter part. But the woman just rolled her eyes.
"Hey, I'm not that much of a stickler. She'll be 18 soon anyways, and as far as I am concerned, it's fine. And you don't seem like the type to do anything too...inappropriate before she is of legal age...right?" Claire asked with a threatening smile on her face, as Billie nodded.
"Of course" Billie said, not afraid, but just making sure she wasn't looked at like she was a freak or something. Haley sighed at her mothers look, knowing she was putting on her "Mama Bear" act at the moment.
Better than her dads "Papa Bear" act, way better.
With that part of the conversation over with, it began to move to lighter topics, as the family chatted with one another. All the while, Billie could only smile, one thought on her mind.
'Seems everything's resolved peacefully...good'

Also, how she was able to even sign Haley to her label without it being...you know, completely illegal will be explained in like chapter 22. So that plot hole should be fixed...hopefully.
