[3rd POV]
As it turns out, it was. After buying her a dress worth three thousand dollars, the two had made their way to the food court, but not before they had put the dress into a bag to keep it safe.
Sitting across from Haley, Billie snipped on her second smoothie for the day.
"So what do you do for a living to be able to give me a dress worth three thousand dollars?" Haley asked, curious. It wasn't exactly a dress just anyone could casually buy like Billie had. Not only that, but she had a special looking debit card that made it evident she was rich.
"I invested in some businesses when I was a big younger, when I got an inheritance. as for what I do for a living...well, I post some videos and other similar things" Billie responded with a smile, knowing that these videos make millions of dollars.
"And nothing inappropriate before you even think of that" Billie cut in, already seeing the route her thought process was going.
"Well that's...really cool I guess? Sorry, I don't really know anything about investing. What sort of videos do you make?" Haley asked, as she sipped on her own smoothie that she had gotten.
"Music mostly, nothing too big" Billie responded with a smile, as Haley looked even more interested when she heard this.
"Oh so you sing? Maybe you could sing for me sometime" Haley asked, staring into Billie's eyes.
"Hmm, I don't see why not" Billie responded with a small smile, as Haley reached into her pocket and began to write something on a piece of paper before handing it over to Billie.
"This is my number. We definitely need to hang out more sometime. And thanks for the dress, it really means a lot. But, I need to go or else my mom will hound me, and she is impossible to deal with once she gets going" Haley said with a smile, as Billie soon watched her leave, wondering when they'd be meeting next.
Turns out it would be sooner than they thought.

The next time she and Haley had met was when Billie went out to eat. She went to this nice little diner and found out Haley was trying to apply for work there, trying to get a part time job.
She didn't get the job but she did get to eat a good burger with Billie, talking about all sorts of things with one another. As well as an offer to meet up properly next time.
They did. It was there that Haley had heard Billie's voice for the first time. Where she sang the song "Somewhere Only we Know" and well...
"That was so beautiful!" Haley said, tears streaking down her face as she hugged Billie. The woman could only stare down at her in response, wondering what she should do. Eventually she decided to just softly pat the girls head in response, which caused the crying girl to sniffle slightly, fighting off the soft dusting of pink from tainting her cheeks.
That was the first time Haley had heard her sing, and was not the last.
What came next was frequent visits from the girl, visits that soon became borderline dates. The two went out to restaurants, went shopping, and even went to a couple of parties that Billie didn't really enjoy.
But she did enjoy the time out with Haley, so that was enough for her.
By the time half a month had passed the two had gotten incredibly close to one another. Their touches began to linger more and more, and their smiles become filled with more and more warmth.
It had gotten to the point that Haley had stopped going out with boys, which had caused quite a lot of interest from her family, but after realizing that they would be impossibly annoying to deal with if they found out that she was secretly meeting up with Billie, she had begun to lie and act like she had a boyfriend.
When in actuality all the times she was giggling at the phone, smiling and laughing as she talked to someone on the other end, it was Billie.
And it all came to a head when something happened.

The two were sitting in Billie's apartment. Haley had become a regular at the place and even had the code to get in, and the security guards knew her by name. It was basically a second home of sorts.
Haley had recently started to learn some songs that Billie had written. As Billie had realized that the girl had an incredible voice, and she had never done a proper duet so she decided that maybe Haley could do one with her.
And so, Lovely was born. The same Lovely that originally was made by Khalid and Billie, but was now made by Billie and Haley.
She realized that certain musicians that simply didn't relate to her well would be perfect for Haley. Like Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, and a few others. One of them was this neat little artist known as "The Girl in Red". But that was...for later.
Instead, she was currently singing one of her own songs, Bellyache.

As she sang the song, her voice echoing through her apartment, Haley stared at her silently, her eyes wide. The song...she knew it. It was by one of her favorite artists, and like the biggest artist on the planet right now.
And their voices...
Grabbing her phone, Haley went onto YouTube and turned on the music video for Bellyache, her eyes widening in shock as their voices began to perfect over lap. Beautiful, soft, and almost airy sounding voice.
And once Billie finished singing, she looked up to Haley's wide eyes.
"Y-You're Billie Eilish!" Haley accused with a gasp.
"Well I wasn't exactly hiding it, was I? I did tell you my name was Billie, Hales" Billie said with an amused smile, using the nickname she had given her.
"Bu-but you never told me your last name!" Haley said in embarrassment, realizing that Billie hadn't really ever tried to hide it. It was horribly obvious now that she was thinking it over.
"Well I guess I should have. But still, does it matter who I am? I mean this isn't going to change anything, is it?" Billie questioned, hoping that things didn't become weird now that Haley knew she was a famous singer that had never shown her face.
"What? No! I was just shocked. I might be a little...over the top, but I'm not going to think of you differently just because you're a super famous singer, my favorite singer" Haley responded, shaking her head at the thought. She did a lot of things, but she wasn't judgmental...
Well, not when it came to something like this at least. If you had a bad fashion sense she would make fun of you. If you made a stupid joke, you can expect her to say something. But Billie being a singer means nothing to her...well mostly.
"Good, It'd be really damn awkward to go out with you if you think of me differently" Billie responded with a smile.
"Go out with me?" Haley asked, questioning the wording.
"I mean hanging out, you know?" Billie responded, realizing her wording might throw her off a bit. But she certainly didn't mind going out with Haley for real.
"Oh..." Haley said looking a little disappointed.
"Oh? You sound almost...disappointed" Billie responded, Haley looking awkward.
"You want to go out with me, don't you?" Billie asked, staring at Haley who blushed brighter than before. She didn't think Billie would just outright ask that sort of thing.
"Wh-what no!" Haley sputtered, her blush growing more and more, especially as Billie began to move forward towards Haley.
"You sure? You're blushing quite cutely, you know" Billie teased, her lips getting dangerously close to Haley's. And in response, Haley looked down at the lips close to hers. Biting her own, she growled.
"Fine! If you want to tease me, then you deserve this!" Haley yelled, before Billie blinked in rare surprise as Haley slammed her lips forwards, their lips pressing together as she kissed Billie.
Billie blanked for a few moments, before grinning slightly and pressing back, pushing Haley back on the couch as she deepened the kiss.
Eventually the two were forced to pull back, as Haley caught her breath while Billie couldn't get the grin off her face.
"Why are you grinning?" Haley asked, noticing the bright grin on Billie's faces.
"Because I finally got to kiss those perfect lips of yours. Well that and I just proved that you are definitely into me just as much as I am into you" Billie responded, Haley could only grumble.
"So, Haley, what exactly does this make us?" Billie asked a few moments later, staring at Haley who looked down.
"Look, I-I've never...I've never been with a girl before. For most of my life I've been the cliche "Girls Girl" always partying, being with boys. I...I don't really know what to do with a girl. Hell, I didn't even realize I'm Bi until I started to really get to know you" Haley responded, breathing out as she looked nervous.
"B-But if you're willing...I'd really really like to give this a shot, to give us a shot" Haley continued, while Billie smiled softly.
"Of course I want to, Haley. You think I kiss just anyone?" Billie responded with a smirk on her face, as she moved back in and kissed Haley again. This time Haley melted into it, reciprocating.
All the while, Haley had one thought on her mind.
'Best. Decision. Ever!'

They got together quickly as said before. Their relationship will be shown more in the coming chapters. And Haley's family will finally start to show up soon as well, especially because they'll start to notice Haley's "Weird" changes.
