Chapter 170 -  Future Bulma’s Shock

Goku firmly patted Future Gohan on the shoulder.

"Remember what I told you."

"Don't spend all your time training."

"When it's time to enjoy life, enjoy it properly."

As he spoke, Goku handed him a small bottle.

"This is a bottle of Senzu Beans."

"They might come in handy someday."

Future Gohan accepted the beans and nodded hard.

"Thank you, Dad!"

Little Miki and Bulla ran over and hugged him reluctantly.

"Future big brother, come visit us again next time!"

Future Gohan crouched down and gently rubbed their heads.

"Alright."

"Once my world is truly peaceful, I'll definitely make time to visit you again."

"We'll be waiting!"

Young Gohan looked at Future Gohan and encouraged him seriously.

"Do your best!"

"You're all alone in the future now, so don't mess up!"

"I definitely won't mess up!!"

Future Gohan thumped his chest confidently.

Miki and Bulla clenched their little fists toward him as encouragement.

Future Gohan smiled warmly at all three children.

"You guys work hard too, alright?"

Launch crossed her arms and snorted.

"Work hard?"

"It'll already be a miracle if those two little troublemakers stop causing chaos."

Miki and Bulla immediately stuck out their tongues and made faces.

Future Gohan chuckled softly.

After waving goodbye—

He turned and stepped into the time machine.

Under everyone's watchful eyes—

The machine emitted a soft humming sound before transforming into a streak of light and disappearing into the night sky.

Soon—

The time machine crossed through time itself.

Future Gohan once again stood upon the familiar wasteland of his ruined world.

The sun rose as usual.

The destroyed city ruins cast long shadows beneath the morning light.

The air still carried the faint smell of smoke and gunpowder.

Gohan clenched his fists tightly.

Feeling the overwhelming power now surging within him—

He knew things could finally change.

"It's time to end this."

He muttered softly.

Golden energy erupted around him instantly and shot into the sky.

West City Ruins

Android 17 and Android 18 wandered around lazily through the rubble.

"How boring."

"There isn't even a decent opponent anymore."

17 kicked a stone away irritably.

18 shrugged.

"That brat's been unusually quiet lately."

"Maybe he finally gave up resisting."

Suddenly—

An overwhelming aura descended from the sky.

The two androids immediately looked up.

A golden streak tore through the heavens and slammed into the ground before them.

As the dust cleared—

Super Saiyan Gohan stared coldly at them.

"Son Gohan?"

18 narrowed her eyes and sneered.

"What?"

"Finally got tired of living?"

"We spared you last time, and now you came back to die?"

As she walked toward him confidently—

Preparing to kill him once and for all—

17 suddenly noticed something strange.

"Huh?"

"Your arm…"

"How did it recover?"

Future Gohan ignored them completely.

He simply raised one hand toward 18.

BOOM!!

A violent energy blast exploded toward her.

18 initially assumed it was another meaningless attack like before.

But the instant the energy wave approached—

Her expression changed dramatically.

"This… this isn't right…"

"AAAAAHHH!!"

She screamed.

Before she could even understand what happened—

The overwhelming energy completely erased her from existence.

"18!!!"

17's pupils shrank violently.

"How is that possible?!"

"You actually killed her?!"

Gohan pointed directly at him.

"You're next."

17 immediately retreated.

But Gohan moved even faster.

He appeared in front of him instantly.

One casual punch struck 17's arm.

His arm—

And half his torso—

Exploded apart simultaneously.

Blood sprayed everywhere.

Gohan then placed his right hand directly against 17's body.

A blinding white light erupted.

The ground trembled violently.

And 17 disappeared completely within the explosion.

When the light faded—

And the earth stopped shaking—

No trace of him remained in the world.

After eliminating both androids—

Future Gohan immediately returned to the underground base beneath Bulma's Capsule Corp.

"Bulma Auntie."

"I'm back."

Seeing Gohan wearing brand-new clothes and radiating confidence—

Bulma stared at him in disbelief.

"Gohan?!"

"You're back already?!"

"And wait…"

"What was that earthquake just now?"

Gohan answered calmly.

"I caused it."

"17 and 18 have already been destroyed."

Bulma's eyes widened.

"What?!"

"You've only been gone a few days!"

"How did you become this strong?!"

Gohan explained:

"In the past, Dad took me into the Hyperbolic Time Chamber."

"One year passes inside while only one day passes outside."

"I've become much, much stronger now."

"Dad even said I'm no weaker than him in that timeline."

Bulma blinked in complete shock.

"You're serious?!"

But knowing Gohan never joked—

Whether it sounded unbelievable or not—

She could already tell he was completely different from before.

Bulma immediately dragged over a chair.

"Sit down."

"You're telling me EVERYTHING."

Gohan nodded.

Then he pulled out several Capsule Corp capsules and handed them to her.

"Aunt Bulma, these are supplies Mom from that timeline prepared for me."

"If we don't need them, we can distribute them to survivors."

Bulma casually tossed the capsules aside into a box.

Then she leaned forward eagerly.

"Hurry up and tell me what happened there."

"Your entire temperament changed."

Gohan looked surprised.

"You can tell?"

Bulma nodded immediately.

"Of course."

"You used to always look burdened and miserable."

"Now you're obviously much more optimistic."

Gohan froze briefly.

Then slowly began recounting everything that happened in the other timeline.

CLANG!

The wrench in Bulma's hand crashed onto the floor.

She stared at Gohan with her eyes wide open.

"Wait."

"What did you just say?"

"That world's Goku married Chi-Chi, me, and Launch…"

"And 18 fell in love with him too?!"

Gohan scratched his cheek awkwardly.

"Yeah…"

"I know it sounds unbelievable, Aunt Bulma."

"But that's really how things are there."

He explained carefully:

"That world's laws are different from ours."

"And they diverged a very long time ago."

"Most importantly…"

"The androids there weren't evil."

"They never killed anyone."

He then explained about Cell traveling from their timeline into the other world and causing chaos.

And how Goku trained him inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber so he could become strong enough to stand on his own.

But Bulma had far less interest in power levels than she did in Goku's behavior.

She immediately lit a cigarette.

Took a deep drag.

Then crossed her legs.

"Tell me something first."

"How exactly did 18 fall for Goku?"

Gohan recounted how 18 humiliated Vegeta but chose not to kill him.

Then described how Goku defeated 18—

And even flirted with her afterward.

The instant Bulma heard that Goku flirted enough to make 18 blush—

Her expression twisted violently.

"Turning enemies into friends…"

"Okay, Goku does have talent for that."

"But flirting with girls?"

"You're absolutely sure you're talking about Goku?!"

Gohan thought carefully.

"I'm confused too."

"That world's Dad is completely different personality-wise."

"Maybe…"

"He changed after experiencing more things."

Bulma inhaled deeply from her cigarette.

Then suddenly grabbed her blue hair and started pacing around the lab.

Images of the young Goku she once knew surfaced in her mind.

She shook her head violently.

"No."

"Impossible."

"Absolutely impossible!"

"The Goku I know only has fighting and eating inside his brain!"

She spun around abruptly and pointed at the time machine.

"Gohan."

"Are you sure you went to a parallel world…"

"And not some bizarre dream?!"

Gohan smiled bitterly.

"It's real, Aunt Bulma."

"That world's Dad said becoming stronger is meant to protect the people important to you."

"He also told me not to focus only on training…"

"And to marry several beautiful girls and live happily…"

Bulma froze completely.

She genuinely couldn't imagine Goku saying something so profound.

Yet seeing Gohan's serious face—

She repeated mechanically:

"You said…"

"He even encouraged you to marry several?"

Gohan nodded earnestly.

Then suddenly—

Bulma burst into earth-shaking laughter.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!!"

"That is DEFINITELY not the Son Goku I know!"

"That idiot didn't even understand what marriage meant until his wedding day!"

"How could he possibly know that much?!"

But as she laughed—

Her voice gradually softened.

She gazed quietly at the ruined city outside the window.

"Still…"

"A Goku capable of saying things like that…"

"Sounds kind of interesting."

Gohan noticed the faint loneliness flashing through her eyes.

He hurriedly added:

"Aunt Bulma…"

"The you in that world was very happy too."

"You and Mom got along really well."

"You even went shopping together often."

"STOP STOP STOP!"

Bulma waved her hands frantically with a flushed face.

"Who'd want to go shopping with Chi-Chi that violent woman?!"

Then she suddenly lowered her voice suspiciously.

"…The me in that world really never fought with her?"

Gohan shook his head.

"No."

"That world is very different from ours."

"Everyone lived together under one roof…"

"Like a real family."

Bulma remained silent for a long time.

Eventually, the cigarette burned her fingers.

She tossed it away before finally snapping back to reality.

"Damn…"

"I can't believe I'm actually a little jealous of that version of myself."

She rubbed her face messily and muttered:

"But that womanizer definitely isn't my type!"

Suddenly—

Bulma grabbed Gohan by the shoulders.

"Wait."

"Was the me in that world under some kind of dark magic?!"

"Dark magic?"

Gohan immediately thought of the Demon Goddess who could tear through space.

But he wasn't stupid.

He clearly understood nobody had been brainwashed.

Everything everyone did came from genuine feelings.

So he shook his head firmly.

"No."

"Absolutely not."

Bulma inhaled deeply.

A dazed look flashed across her eyes.

"…Forget it."

"It doesn't matter what kind of person that world's Goku became."

"So many years have already passed."

"Even if our world still had Dragon Balls…"

"Goku and the others could never come back."

Her expression gradually became determined.

"We can't stay trapped in the past forever."

"That timeline has their happiness."

"But now our world finally has peace too."

"We need to move forward."

Gohan nodded firmly.

"Yeah."

Bulma stretched lazily.

"Our world is finally peaceful."

"It's time to start rebuilding."

"I can finally do what I've wanted to for years…"

She had waited for this day for an incredibly long time.

Even while living underground—

She had constantly prepared for humanity's reconstruction.

Turning toward the computer—

She rapidly pulled up databases while typing commands at incredible speed.

"First, we restore the power systems."

"Then water purification."

"After that, we gather survivors and begin building residential zones…"

Watching Bulma's busy figure—

Warmth filled Gohan's heart.

Though she was a woman—

Her mentality remained unbelievably strong.

"Aunt Bulma."

"Is there anything I can help with?"

Without turning around, Bulma answered immediately:

"Of course."

"Go clear away the usable wreckage in West City."

"And see if there are any survivors left."

"With your current strength…"

"Moving a few buildings shouldn't be difficult, right?"

Gohan smiled slightly and clenched his fist.

"Leave it to me."

Under Bulma's leadership—

Groups of determined survivors quickly gathered together.

And at long last—

The reconstruction of the future world officially began.
