Just as Cell was about to catch up to "Android 18," a beam of light suddenly descended from the sky and slammed straight into him.
"AAARGH—!!"
Cell screamed as he crashed into the ground, creating a massive hemispherical crater.
Vegeta stood there, staring at "18," frowning.
"Kakarot… what kind of trick are you playing?"
He had already recognized Goku from his energy.
Goku, still disguised as 18, whispered:
"Shh—keep it down."
"I lured Cell out by transforming into 18. Don't let him escape!"
Vegeta narrowed his eyes—then smirked.
"So that's it… this coward is Cell?"
"18" nodded.
"Yes."
Vegeta sneered arrogantly:
"Kakarot, step aside."
"I'll deal with him."
Goku didn't argue. He backed off slightly and suppressed his energy further.
With a fake "18" acting as bait, Cell wouldn't run easily—or risk self-destruction.
Vegeta looked down into the crater.
Within seconds, Cell climbed out, glaring furiously.
"Vegeta, you bastard!"
"You dare interrupt me absorbing 18—are you here to die?!"
Vegeta snorted.
"You? A mere insect?"
Cell frowned.
"What did you just say?"
"Did you forget how you got beaten by 18?"
"And now you dare mock me?"
The insult struck a nerve.
Vegeta's veins bulged.
"Damn you, filthy bug!"
"If I don't tear you apart today, I'm not Vegeta!"
He vanished instantly—appearing before Cell.
A brutal uppercut launched Cell into the sky.
Then—
A relentless barrage of attacks followed.
Cell screamed repeatedly, completely overwhelmed.
Vegeta's overwhelming power left him unable to react.
In just seconds, Cell was battered beyond recognition.
Cell stared in shock.
"You… are you really Vegeta?"
"How are you this strong?!"
Vegeta walked toward him, pointing at himself with his thumb.
"I am Super Vegeta."
"Super… Vegeta?"
Cell was confused.
Vegeta smirked.
"Too complicated for you to understand."
"But honestly… your strength bores me."
"I'll send you to hell."
Sweat formed on Cell's forehead.
"Damn it…!"
"I've absorbed so many humans—how can I still lose to you?!"
"I refuse to accept this!"
He roared, powering up.
"DIE!"
His tail lashed out.
Vegeta dodged effortlessly—then delivered a brutal kick straight to Cell's groin.
Cell screamed and flew backward.
Vegeta didn't stop.
He chased him mid-air—
And smashed him again, breaking his spine.
CRACK!
Even with regeneration, the pain was unbearable.
Cell trembled violently.
Vegeta followed with a crushing elbow strike—
Slamming Cell back to the ground.
"Nice one, Vegeta!"
One by one, the others arrived:
Future Gohan, Raditz, Tien Shinhan…
They surrounded Cell to block escape routes.
Vegeta scoffed:
"Hmph. Why are you all here?"
"I alone am enough."
Cell regenerated, panting heavily.
But his mind was still obsessed:
He needed to absorb 18.
Vegeta laughed arrogantly.
"So this is the 'ultimate android'?"
"What a disappointment."
Cell clenched his fists—but his trembling body betrayed him.
He was already at his limit.
Vegeta raised one hand—energy gathering.
"Not fun to kill you… but you're useless alive."
Cell looked up—and suddenly roared in desperation:
"NO!! I won't accept this!"
"If I become PERFECT, you could never defeat me!"
Vegeta paused.
A strange smile appeared.
"Oh?"
"So if you become perfect… you think you can beat me?"
Cell shouted:
"Yes!"
"My power, speed, techniques, intelligence—everything will be PERFECT!"
"That's how I was designed!"
Just then—
Future Gohan rushed in—
KICK!
He blasted Cell away.
Vegeta frowned.
"Hey! Gohan—what are you doing?!"
Gohan said calmly:
"Sorry."
"You may want to fight his perfect form…"
"But we risked everything to lure him out."
"We cannot let him become perfect."
Vegeta smirked coldly.
"You think you can stop me, half-breed?"
Gohan clenched his fists.
"…Sorry to hurt your pride."
"But my father said…"
"I've already surpassed you."
"What did you say?!"
Ignoring him, Gohan attacked Cell again—
Kicking him into the air—
Then smashing his body apart.
Cell was horrified.
"How… are YOU this strong too?!"
Gohan raised his hands above his head.
"DIE—MASENKO!!"
Energy surged—
But before he could fire—
BOOM!
Vegeta kicked him away.
Gohan crashed into a mountain, buried under rubble.
Raditz shouted:
"Vegeta! Why attack Gohan?!"
Vegeta snorted:
"You dare say you surpassed me?"
"How pathetic."
"Don't you want to see the ultimate android's power?"
At that moment—
Cell seized the opportunity.
He regenerated instantly—
And lunged at "18"!
His tail expanded—
Rushing in at blinding speed.
Just as he was about to absorb her—
POOF!
"18" vanished—
Revealing Goku.
Cell froze in shock, instantly pulling back his tail.
"SON GOKU?!"
Everything clicked.
Cell roared in fury:
"So that's it!"
"No wonder I sensed your energy!"
"You tricked me—how despicable!!"
