Chapter 122 - Frieza’s Second Form

Vegeta and Nappa quickly arrived near Frieza's ship.

"Ready, Nappa?" Vegeta asked.

Nappa nodded hard. "Don't worry, Vegeta.

As long as you hold Frieza off for one minute, I can find the Dragon Balls and get them out!"

A cautious glint flickered in Vegeta's eyes. "That bastard may not have a scouter, but his instincts are sharper than a viper's.

I'll do my best to keep his attention on me—your movements have to be fast."

"Understood!" Nappa took a deep breath.

It was as if he'd taken the burden of Saiyan revenge onto his own shoulders with Vegeta's—he was even prepared to die for it.

Inside the ship's central control room, Frieza was resting.

Without scouters, it felt like a modern person losing their phone—deeply uncomfortable.

He tapped the armrest irritably and muttered to himself, "Annoying… how much longer is it going to take the Ginyu Force to get here?"

At that moment, a golden energy blast slammed into the ground in front of the ship, erupting into a cloud of dust.

Frieza blinked in surprise, then floated out of the ship in his hover pod.

The dust slowly settled.

Vegeta strode forward with arrogance written all over his face.

Frieza's red eyes blinked once. "Ohohohoho… so it's Vegeta.

How unexpected. Just to gather the Dragon Balls, you actually dared to come to me yourself?"

Vegeta hooked a thumb at his own chest and grinned. "Frieza—today is your death day!"

Frieza covered his mouth with a fist and chuckled softly.

Then he stepped down from his pod.

"Vegeta… what gave you the courage to challenge me?

Was it that Saiyan on Earth?"

Vegeta didn't answer.

He simply unleashed his full battle power.

A white aura shot into the sky. The ground cracked beneath his feet, and the violent wind pressure made even Frieza's face sting slightly.

For the first time, a flicker of shock appeared on Frieza's face—

but it was only a small surprise.

"How interesting."

Frieza licked his lips and smiled. "No wonder you could kill Dodoria and Zarbon. Looks like you really did get stronger."

Vegeta's grin widened. "Well? My battle power is higher than yours now.

If you don't want to die too quickly, show me your transformation."

Frieza's eyes narrowed again.

"What? You actually know I can transform?"

Vegeta sneered. "Zarbon told me before I killed him!"

The moment he finished speaking, Vegeta burst forward and slammed a fist into Frieza.

Frieza didn't react at all—his body was sent flying, crashing into a mountain and kicking up a massive cloud of dust.

Even in his first form, that kind of hit still couldn't injure Frieza in the slightest.

It was as if he'd taken it on purpose—just to test Vegeta's strength.

But the instant Vegeta drove him into the mountain—

Nappa shot straight into Frieza's ship.

His movements were shockingly light and careful—nothing like the reckless brute he usually was.

"Dragon Balls… where are the Dragon Balls…" Nappa muttered, searching every place that looked even remotely possible.

Finally, inside a locked, encrypted compartment, he found five Dragon Balls glowing with orange light.

And at that moment—

Cui appeared behind him.

"Well, well… isn't this Nappa?"

Cold sweat instantly burst from Nappa's forehead. He spun around to face Cui.

"Why are you here?!"

Cui sneered. "Nappa, aren't you Vegeta's loyal dog?

Then why aren't you trying to gather the Dragon Balls for yourself?

Why did you sell him out?

Or is it because you know perfectly well—at your level, you'd never be able to collect them anyway?"

Hearing Cui's words, Nappa didn't understand what he meant at first.

Was Cui still assuming Nappa served Frieza, just gossiping about his relationship with Vegeta?

Nappa didn't bother thinking too hard—he wasn't built for it.

But his trip to Earth had taught him the basics of sensing ki.

Right now, feeling Cui's aura, Nappa suddenly realized something:

Cui's battle power seemed lower than his own.

A thought struck him immediately.

Because I "farmed" those Senzu Bean boosts twice… my battle power actually surpassed Cui's.

That was incredible news.

And the moment he realized he was stronger, murderous intent flashed through Nappa's heart.

"Heh… let me tell you something."

He stopped on purpose, dangling the words.

Cui leaned closer, curiosity piqued. "Tell me what?"

In the instant Cui relaxed—

Nappa vanished forward and drove a punch straight at Cui's head.

"Tell you my ass. Die!"

The punch hit with a brutal swing, the wind snapping around Nappa's fist.

Maybe Cui didn't have time to react—

or maybe Nappa simply outclassed him too much.

Either way…

THUD!

Cui's head exploded like a watermelon.

His headless body collapsed limply to the floor, blood pouring out in streams.

Nappa didn't have time to stare at the gore—and he didn't have time to be shocked at his own strength.

He ripped Cui's battle suit off, tied a knot at one end, and stuffed the five Dragon Balls inside.

The fabric was unbelievably elastic—stretching dozens of times without tearing.

On Earth, it would've been the world's strongest plastic bag.

At that moment, a series of earth-shaking explosions rocked the ship violently.

Nappa took a deep breath.

"Vegeta… don't die too fast."

Then he blasted a hole through the back of the ship, grabbed his bag of Dragon Balls, and escaped.

Behind the ship was a wide stretch of water.

Nappa plunged straight down into the depths and swam away into the distance.

At the front of the ship.

Vegeta was panting heavily. His arm trembled, sweat and blood dripping from his forearm.

And Frieza had already transformed into his Second Form—

taller and far more muscular, horns rising from his head.

His battle power had soared beyond one million.

"What is it, Vegeta?" Frieza's voice was sharp and chilling.

"Scared?"

He clenched his fist and smiled. "Vegeta… you forced me into my second form.

Even if you die now, you should be satisfied."

Vegeta wiped the blood from his lips and sneered. "That's all?"

Then he charged again.

Frieza flickered—Vegeta hit nothing.

In the same motion, Frieza swung his head forward.

The horn on his crown slammed into Vegeta's chest, piercing deep.

Vegeta's throat tightened. A mouthful of blood spilled from his lips.

Not wanting blood on himself, Frieza casually flicked Vegeta away and tossed him to the ground.

Frieza laughed softly. "Ohohohoho… Vegeta, I truly don't understand.

With a gap this enormous… how did you ever think rebelling against me was possible?"

He raised one finger, aiming at Vegeta—ready to finish him.

He knew Vegeta was the type who would never flatter or beg.

And now that Vegeta had no strength to resist, Frieza had no patience left to toy with him.

But at that moment—

THUD! THUD! THUD! THUD! THUD!

Five identical pods landed in front of Frieza.

Five strangely shaped figures stepped out and appeared before him.

The next second, a wave of unbelievably "enthusiastic" choreography began.

Each of them danced in a way that made others cringe—while they basked in it like art.

Then they struck their ultimate poses and shouted their names.

"Recoome!"

"Jeice!"

"Burter!"

"Guldo!"

"Ginyu!"

With their poses locked in place, all five shouted together:

"The Ginyu Force!"

For a moment, it was like they were glowing.

After witnessing that entire introduction, Frieza actually broke out in a thin sheen of sweat.

Because when they weren't embarrassed…

the embarrassment belonged to everyone else.

He cleared his throat lightly. "I was waiting for you. You arrived quickly…"

Captain Ginyu looked up and saw that Frieza was already in his second form. His eyes immediately shone with excitement.

"WOOOOW! Lord Frieza—your new look is incredible!

So tall, so powerful, so majestic—absolutely overflowing with dominance!"
