Chapter 36 - You Can Have Three Wives and Four Concubines Now

The seawater wasn't clear to begin with.

Once Goku dove in, his visibility dropped drastically—far worse than on land.

He could only rely on the radar to confirm direction, inching forward little by little.

After sinking into the deep sea, at least five minutes passed—yet he still felt no suffocation at all.

The deep sea was freezing… but Goku didn't feel even the slightest numbness.

Thirty minutes of survival without oxygen.

The system reward was just that—plain, practical, and terrifyingly effective.

But as he followed the radar's guidance deeper, everything got worse.

By the time he reached the lower depths, the world around him turned pitch-black—he couldn't even see his own hand.

And just when it couldn't get any more annoying…

The plastic bag, crushed by the pressure, split open.

The radar's tiny indicator light flickered once… then died.

Goku instantly lost all sense of direction.

At that moment, a system message flashed through his mind.

[In your previous life, you discovered a pirate's treasure—but failed to take it with you, which became a lifelong regret.

Later, Chi-Chi's savings were eaten away by daily expenses, and your family life became tight.

Chi-Chi's personality changed; she complained that after marriage you didn't earn money, didn't take responsibility…]

[Your life has restarted.

Now you finally understand the importance of money.

A man with no money is worth less than a dog.]

[Even though Bulma is rich, taking from her makes you soft.

You're a proud man. Eating soft rice makes your spine bend.

You want to rely on your own strength to earn enough to live freely.]

[Mission: Take the pirate treasure.

Reward: Earth's marriage laws will change—starting in the future, you may have three wives and four concubines.]

"Pirate treasure…?"

Goku's eyes widened in realization.

"I remember now.

Besides the Dragon Ball… there's a box of treasure… a giant octopus…

and I'm going to have to fight that General Blue whose orientation is… not normal…"

The whole event line in this area came flooding back in fragments.

Money meant stability.

Financial freedom meant you could focus on what you actually wanted to do.

That part, anyone understood.

But then he looked at the reward again—his brain stalled.

"Wait… the reward is changing the marriage law so I can have three wives and four concubines?"

"…That's insane."

If he understood it correctly, this wasn't just giving him permission.

It was rewriting the foundation—changing Earth's legal system, and even people's social expectations around marriage.

So in the future…

Even if he had Bulma on one side and Android 18 on the other…

no public backlash, no moral condemnation, no legal punishment.

He wouldn't even have to suffer through choosing between Chi-Chi and Bulma anymore.

Goku's heart pounded.

"Sure, this world is strength-based… but life with strength is way too good…"

His motivation instantly skyrocketed.

But he also realized he couldn't hold out much longer.

He immediately shot upward toward the surface.

Above the Water

Bulma had already flipped through every capsule she had.

Still no submarine.

She clicked her tongue.

"My dad is seriously trying to ruin my life…"

Right then, two fighter planes roared across the sky.

Bulma looked up, puzzled.

And the next second—

They opened fire.

Biu! Biu! Biu!

Bulma's eyes went wide as she bolted.

"Are you insane?! You almost killed me!"

As she ran, she couldn't understand it.

"Wait—how? I haven't even shown my face to the Red Ribbon Army…

why would they shoot the moment they see me?!"

But then the two planes swept past her, caught a clear look at her face—

And suddenly stopped firing.

A voice came from above.

"Hey, wrong target! That's not the kid—it's a girl!"

The two pilots landed their fighter planes in front of her.

"Ah… sorry about that. We mistook you for someone else."

Bulma's expression was icy.

"That was dangerous. You nearly took my life, you know that?"

Then she glanced at their aircraft and asked, casually—

"Let me guess… you're Red Ribbon soldiers stationed nearby?"

Both of them nodded.

"Not bad, kid. A little girl who knows the Red Ribbon Army—pretty informed!"

Bulma forced a smile.

"Of course. Who doesn't know you guys?"

Then she got to the point.

"Do you have a submarine?"

The chubbier pilot blinked.

"A submarine? Yeah. I have one."

Bulma's eyes lit up.

"Really?"

"Of course. Why would I lie?"

But the other pilot licked his lips, rubbing his hands with a greasy grin.

"Little girl, you're pretty.

How about you come have some fun with us… and we'll lend you the submarine?"

Bulma cracked her wrist slowly, smiling.

"Calling me pretty—good taste."

Then her smile sharpened.

"But you shouldn't have gotten greedy over my beauty."

She raised a fist.

"This punch of mine… you two might not survive it."

Both pilots froze.

"…Huh?"

In the next instant—

Bulma's fist smashed into the fat pilot's stomach.

He collapsed instantly, clutching his belly, convulsing on the ground.

The other pilot's face turned white.

"You—You dare hit us?!"

Bulma glanced at her fist… then calmly looked back at him.

The pilot's hair stood on end.

He yanked out a gun and fired.

But the moment the gunshot rang out—Bulma vanished from where she stood.

"W-Where did she go?!"

A voice sounded behind him.

"Where are you looking?"

He spun—

Bulma patted his shoulder lightly.

And in the same motion, her other fist drove into his back.

His body went limp and collapsed like a sack of wet cloth.

Both pilots were crippled on the ground, terrified, begging.

"Heroine, spare us!"

"We won't do it again!"

Bulma didn't dare kill them—she wasn't that kind of person.

But she did take what she came for.

She grabbed the submarine capsule and left them behind.

As she walked, she couldn't help muttering—

"Not gonna lie… the wish Goku made for me was pretty great."

"A little strength feels amazing."

She returned to the shore where she and Goku had separated.

The surface of the sea was calm.

No ripples.

No Goku.

Bulma's heart tightened.

"He's been down there so long… did he suffocate?"

"Pfft—no, no, no!"

She immediately spat the bad luck away.

Then she opened the capsule she had taken.

Bang!

A Red Ribbon military submarine appeared.

Bulma smirked proudly.

"I really am a genius. Now I don't even need to go back to Snow's place for my capsules."

Right then—

The water exploded upward.

Goku burst through the surface and shot into the air, gulping for breath.

Bulma instantly shouted and waved.

"Goku! I got a submarine!"

Goku stared, and of course saw it immediately.

"Eh? Bulma—where did you get that?

That logo… isn't that Red Ribbon's submarine?"

Bulma planted her hands on her hips and laughed.

"Hehe, funny story.

Two Red Ribbon guys passed by. They almost killed me thinking I was some helpless girl.

Too bad for them—I'm not helpless.

So I beat them half-dead, then looted this submarine from them."

She grinned proudly.

"How's that? Pretty lucky, right?"
