Chapter 149 - Chapter 149 -- The Transformation of the Original Universe

Hun Yuan—

where primordial energy remains undivided,

where chaos is one,

where all beginnings return to their source.

Bai Yue's choice of title was no coincidence.

At this stage, his foremost objective was to comprehend complete Chaos Laws, and Hunyuan was both a declaration of intent and a reflection of the path he would inevitably walk.

"Lord of Hunyuan."

The Human Race's upper echelon contemplated the title briefly, then nodded in unison.

A title, after all, was merely a codename. As long as it did not offend taboos or provoke ancient enmities, no one would interfere. Compared to strength, a name mattered very little.

"Very well," Primordial Chaos True God concluded.

"From today onward, the fifth Universe Lord of my Virtual Universe Corporation lineage—and the eighteenth Universe Lord of the Human Race—shall be known as Lord of Hunyuan."

Great Axe Founder rose, his voice carrying through the grand hall.

"We gathered today to celebrate Chaos stepping into the ranks of the Strongest. None of us expected Bai Yue to break through as well. This is a rare day of double joy for our Human Race."

He raised his cup.

"Come—let us welcome Lord of Hunyuan among us."

Wine was raised once more, laughter echoing through the hall.

Then Great Axe Founder continued, smiling faintly.

"According to the rules of our race, every newly promoted Universe Lord receives a reward equivalent to a top-tier treasure weapon. Bai Yue, we know you are not lacking in treasures. State your request freely."

This was the foundation of a peak race.

Among smaller forces—even super forces like the Northern Frontier Alliance—such treatment was rare. Too many races, too many powerhouses. Unless someone was specially recruited, a newly promoted Universe Lord often received little more than symbolic recognition.

"I won't take a treasure weapon," Bai Yue replied calmly.

"The five thousand treasure points I received previously are still unused."

Peng Gong Master chuckled and shook his head.

"That won't do. Rules are rules. If you refuse, what precedent does that set for future Universe Lords?"

Bai Yue thought for a moment, then nodded.

"Then I'll take biological remains. I have ongoing research that requires them. Let this be the reward."

Great Axe Founder immediately agreed.

"That's acceptable. From now on, any Life remains obtained by the Human Race will be prioritized for you."

It was, if anything, a modest request.

Primordial Chaos True God then looked toward Bai Yue again.

"What are your plans going forward?"

Seeing a flicker of confusion, he clarified.

"Most Human Universe Lords are stationed in key regions of our territory. These areas house our geniuses, Undying, and core forces, and they require protection. Additionally, Universe Lords stationed together can respond to disasters more effectively. As for us True Gods, most of us only leave clones behind."

"For now," Bai Yue replied, "my focus remains on fusion law comprehension. It determines my future path. After that, I may send a clone to roam the Universe Sea."

"A wise choice," Primordial Chaos nodded.

Then he remembered something else.

"You exchanged for eight Beast God inheritance tokens back then. How far have you progressed?"

"They've all reached the seventh level," Bai Yue answered frankly.

"Only the final Beast God Heart remains."

He paused, then added,

"Also—those interested may go to Zijing Island. I've discovered that the halo there contains more than just the Ten Great Origin Laws and Beast God fusion laws. Other fusion paths are hidden within as well."

The hall stirred.

Such opportunities were exceedingly rare.

"To reach the final stage of all Eight Beast God Daos in less than four thousand years…"

"As expected of Lord of Hunyuan."

Primordial Chaos True God's eyes gleamed.

"In that case—Celestial Eclipse Palace Master has entered deep seclusion. The Blood Luo World, as the resting place of the Golden Horned Beast God, is too important to entrust lightly."

He looked directly at Bai Yue.

"After Tianshi enters seclusion, you will take over its guarding. If time permits, guide those within the race walking the Beast God path."

"I'll send a clone to handle the handover," Bai Yue agreed without hesitation.

Laughter followed.

"Our Human Race truly is blessed," Peng Gong Master said warmly.

"Good news after good news."

While Bai Yue's Earthling clone moved within the Primitive Mystical Region, a far deeper transformation unfolded elsewhere.

Within his Original Universe.

With the perfection of Time and Space Laws, the Original Universe changed fundamentally. What had once been like a hastily built shack now became a structure of reinforced order. Space stabilized. Laws aligned. Chaos receded into structure.

Previously, even Domain Lord–level beings could tear space apart through brute force.

Now, only Undying-level existence could do so.

Yet this was merely the surface.

The deeper change lay in autonomy.

Before, the Original Universe was inert—every movement required Bai Yue's direct will. Now, it began to evolve on its own, following the foundational rules he had set.

And for the first time—

Life was born naturally.

New bacteria. New fungi. Primitive organisms unbound by any template Bai Yue had analyzed before.

They were insignificant, easily overlooked… yet monumental in meaning.

A universe capable of birthing life on its own had crossed an invisible threshold.

Life meant possibility.

From survival to power, from exploration to transcendence, these beings would perceive rules, learn rules, master rules, and eventually challenge them. Civilizations would rise. Paths would diverge. The universe itself would grow richer for it.

As its Lord, Bai Yue would gain endless insight in return.

Another critical change followed.

He could now regulate the time flow of the entire Original Universe.

Ten thousand times faster than the Primordial Universe—

without damaging its foundation.

Standing atop Founding God Mountain, Bai Yue surveyed everything below.

Then he smiled faintly.

"Ants defying the heavens… no, that sounds too much like a villain."

At the mountain's base, countless Life forms gathered.

The strongest race of the Founding God Realm had united hundreds of others—and their massive army now marched toward Founding God Mountain itself.

The eyes of the entire realm were fixed upon it.
