Darkness.
Endless, suffocating darkness swallowed my senses. I didn't know how long I had been drifting—seconds, years, or eternity itself. There was no pain, no body, no time.
Then suddenly—
Light.
Blinding light pierced through the void, and chaotic sounds rushed into my ears. Footsteps. Voices. Panic.
"Where… am I…?" I tried to speak.
"Uuk… ukk…!"
Only incomprehensible noises escaped my mouth.
What's happening? Why can't I speak?!
Before I could panic further, a cold yet majestic voice echoed directly inside my mind.
[Congratulations, Host. You have successfully been reborn.]
My thoughts froze.
"Who… what are you?"
[Host, I am one of your Divine Powers—All-Knowing Artificial Intelligence.]
Memories surged back like a tidal wave.
The cosmic core.
The collapse of my old universe.
The promise of reincarnation.
"So it wasn't a dream…" I murmured internally. "You really sent me to another world."
A question surfaced in my mind.
"What should I call you?"

"Hah… that's boring."
I smiled inwardly. "How about Lily? It sounds nice."

At the same time, blurry figures entered my vision.
"See how cute he looks… but why does he seem so serious?" a woman said worriedly.
"You're imagining things, my dear," a man replied gently. "How could a newborn look serious?"
I looked down.
Tiny hands. Soft skin.
"…I'm a baby?"
Reality hit me.
So this is rebirth.
"Wait… Lily," I thought. "How can I understand their language? This is clearly another world."

Being a baby was hell.

Ten days passed since I awakened in this world. My parents finally gave me a name.

Kal—my family name.
