Chapter 2 - Destructive Powers Awaken

Water was flowing from a small place. The surroundings felt like a riverside, and a little blood was mixed with the water. At the place where the water came from, a 17-year-old boy was lying injured, and beside him a younger boy was unconscious.

They were none other than Raazi and Sen.

When Sen opened his eyes, he saw blood splashed on the trees and plants around him. In front of him, Raazi was lying badly injured.

Seeing Raazi like that, Sain panicked and rushed toward him. Raazi's body had many serious wounds.

Sain started looking around for herbs. Behind a tree, he noticed a red plant. He picked it and began applying it to Raazi's wounds.

There was sadness on his face. He murmured to himself,

"Good thing Grandma told me about Cameoflower."

After applying the herb, Sen suddenly remembered what had happened before…

The monster had grabbed Sain, and he was screaming in pain.

Raazi was scared, but he still gathered courage and shouted at the monster,

"You ugly sewer insect! Let him go or else—"

The monster attacked Raazi.

Raazi thought to himself,

"I still don't know how I came to this world… and now I'm going to die right after arriving here."

He collapsed to his knees. Blood came from his mouth.

Seeing this, tears filled Sen's eyes.

"This is all because of me…" he blamed himself.

Raazi collapsed onto the ground. Blood spread around him.

The monster then tried to take Sen away. Sen looked completely shocked.

But suddenly, the monster sensed a powerful aura.

It became frightened and threw Sen away before jumping back.

Dust rose everywhere. Nothing was visible.

Then a red slash appeared through the dust and struck the monster.

It was thrown backward into a tree, which broke and fell.

As the dust slowly cleared, the one standing there was Raazi.

Raazi's eyes were glowing black, and red magical energy was flowing around his hand.

It felt as if some power had awakened inside him.

The monster, realizing it would not survive, picked up a broken tree with its tongue and threw it at Raazi.

Raazi gave a cold, terrifying smile.

He raised his hand and clenched his fist.

Red magic flowed into the tree, and it turned into dust.

Seeing this, both Sen and the monster were shocked.

Sen noticed something else too—Raazi's chest wound was healing on its own.

He thought,

"His power just awakened… then how is he already this strong?"

The monster screamed loudly, and flying creatures began rising into the sky.

It felt like the monster was sending a signal.

Raazi's aura spread through the air like a powerful wind.

The monster began to flee under the pressure.

Raazi said coldly,

"Mistake… mistake… mistake…"

He formed a red sword using magic.

He began laughing strangely. His voice felt so dangerous that even Sen felt like this was not the Raazi he knew.

Raazi said calmly,

"Every part of him should be destroyed."

He threw the sword.

The sword did exactly as he said.

The monster was completely destroyed.

Its blood fell on plants and the ground, and the small plants began to wither.

Sen felt both happy and shocked.

Happy because Grandma's words were true.

Shocked because Raazi's awakened power was far too strong.

Sen stood up and went near Raazi.

Softly he asked, "Are you okay?"

Raazi nodded.

Then Raazi suddenly collapsed.

When Raazi woke up, he saw Sen in front of him and smiled.

Sen asked again, "Are you okay?"

Raazi looked around and saw the dried plants.

He asked, "How did we survive?"

Sen looked confused.

"You don't remember?"

Raazi replied, "No… I don't remember anything."

Sen asked, "Did you forget your power too?"

Raazi said, "Power? What power?"

Sen got irritated.

"You're not pretending, are you?"

Raazi held his head.

"I really don't understand what you're saying."

Sen said,

"You should be happy. We survived because of you. Your power has awakened."

Raazi thought:

"So power exists… magic exists… does that mean reincarnation is real?"

He asked Sen,

"Do you know the name of this world?"

Sen replied,

"Yes. Grandma once told me. We are on the Ralis Continent. The city is Kantipur, and our village is called Lirona."

Raazi thought the world felt much bigger than expected.

He asked,

"Do you know anything about ranks?"

Sen said,

"No."

Raazi changed the topic.

"Let's go to your village."

Sen agreed, but he was thinking about how that monster had reached their area.

Raazi smiled and gently patted Sen's head.

"You should stay happy."

Sen still felt unsure.

"Is he really pretending… or did he truly forget?"

Then Raazi asked,

"Have you ever gone outside the village?"

Sen paused sadly.

"No… I haven't."

Then he forced a smile.

"Anyway, I don't have interest in going outside."

Meanwhile, in Kantipur City

In front of the palace, several soldiers were standing as if waiting for someone. One soldier looked scared.

Another soldier said,

"You've heard the rumors about Mr. Kaal Meuro, right?

That's why you're scared.

Some of it is true, some of it isn't.

But he is the strongest knight in this city."

A man was approaching on a white horse with a horn.

He wore shining silver armor, a red feather on his helmet, and his clothes were stained with blood.

He moved extremely fast toward the palace.

Dust rose behind him.

He stopped suddenly in front of the palace.

All soldiers bowed their heads.

"Welcome, Lord Meuro."

The atmosphere became heavy with fear.

Meuro stepped down from his horse. The ground pressed under his weight.

His companions arrived too.

One of them, Kai Milor, said to him:

"Because of you, our horses are exhausted.

Our Lord sent me to keep an eye on you.

So don't cause trouble."

"You remember last time…

You broke the advisor's arms.

You even threatened the lord of that city.

Don't repeat that. This is Lord's order."

Meuro nodded.

He then walked to the frightened soldier.

"What is your name?"

His deep voice made everyone tremble.

The soldier replied fearfully,

"My name is Yuda Kres."

Meuro said coldly, "Good," and walked into the palace.

Kai smiled softly and said to Yuda,

"Anyone whose name Kaal asks always receives something good.

Congratulations."

And he followed Meuro inside.

Meuro was walking inside the palace. Behind him were Kai and the God's advisor.

While walking, they reached a garden where beautiful flowers were blooming and lovely butterflies were flying everywhere. In the middle of the garden stood a beautiful girl holding a cup of tea. Her eyes were blue, her hair black, and she looked very pretty in a white dress.

Her eyes met Meuro's. She stood up, walked to him, held his hand, and thanked him.

Meuro asked in a soft and calm voice,

"For what are you thanking me, Princess Rina?"

Rina replied gently with a sweet voice,

"Because of you, I have reached 5-star in Nen Rank."

Kai asked,

"You two know each other?"

Rina smiled and said,

"Yes."

The advisor said,

"We should leave now. God must be waiting for us."

Meuro replied softly, "Alright," and started to leave.

But Rina held his hand and took him deeper into the garden. The butterflies gathered above her head, flying beautifully. She smiled softly while looking at Meuro.

Meuro said politely,

"Sorry, Princess. We have important work,"

and then left the garden.

Later, in a cold and ruthless voice, Meuro asked the advisor,

"Why have we been called here?"

The advisor replied,

"I think it's because of Leron Village."

The sky had turned red and purple. The sun's last light was falling toward the village. The sky felt empty, as if darkness would soon arrive.

Raazi and Sen were very close to the village.

Sen said to Raazi,

"Don't tell Grandma about what happened today, or she'll get angry."

Raazi teased him,

"Yeah, you were a little at fault too."

Sen lowered his head and said,

"It was my mistake… please forgive me."

Suddenly, Raazi grabbed Sen's hand and pulled him behind a tree.

Sen whispered,

"What happened? Why are we hiding?"

There was fear on Raazi's face as he said,

"I feel like the same kind of monster we met before… is here."

Hearing this, Sen ran toward the village, and Razi followed behind him.

When they both saw the condition of the village…

Sen started crying loudly..
