Ezra calmly answered his own question.
His blank black eyes slowly moved across everyone inside the waiting room before continuing.
"But...The problem with that reasoning is that the defensive structure protecting Velcryon would collapse."
He folded both hands together.
"As we all know… The five Baron Houses don't merely exist as neighboring noble families. They each protect different sections of the Velc Forest. If only House Orvain remained...then the entire defensive network would lose its balance."
Lucy quietly narrowed her eyes.
She had already begun following Ezra's train of thought.
"And..."
She suddenly spoke.
"If they really became the only remaining Baron House..."
She slowly stroked her chin while organizing her own thoughts.
"They still wouldn't be able to properly protect the Velc Forest."
